    This is a great video if someone wants to get rid of headlice without breaking the bank per say. So many people think they can buy the chemical kits from the store and use it and they no longer have lice and we know that is not what happens. It is work and time consuming and if you stick with it you can get rid of lice. I worked as a Cosmologist (hair dresser) for many years and I give you my stamp of approval :)
    Great job Mom!

      It is a LOT of work! I had no idea is was so time consuming but we just didn’t have $200 to treat both of us at the time. I would have just shaved the boys heads, haha. Thank you.

    I know it helps us mothers to not cause so much pain to our child’s head, or at least that’s why I use oil. But it actually makes your job twice as hard. The oil makes it harder for the comb to pull the nits out. Just wanted to let you know in case you didn’t know.

    My parents don’t know I have lice and I’ve had it for months now.. I’m too embarrassed to tell them and I’m in literal tears because I feel like I’ll never get it out

      Don’t feel bad!! I’m so sorry, you’re probably miserable. You got them from someone else. They love clean hair so that’s usually why they are attracted to a new head. The sooner you tell them, the better you will feel. It’s NOT your fault! I know it’s scary but the sooner you tell them, they better YOU will feel.

    just found out I had lice, now I'm scavenging the internet for help. It sucks too, because I'm a minor and I have to wait till I'm able to go out with an adult and get the proper tools. Life is g r e a t : )

      Do your best to keep your hair oily. They don’t like dirty hair. Keep it up and away from others. The hardest part is getting rid of the bits (the white things). Have someone help you go through each piece of your hair to pull them out. It’s tedious but it’s necessary. Good luck. Hope that helped.

    I’m not sure why, but it appears my comment was deleted. When a child reaches and says they’re embarrassed about having lice and can’t tell their parents, my response under the creator’s response was the same that it’s not their fault and I only added that they should ask someone they trust to help them since having lice for months is traumatic in itself not to mention the scratching can lead to infection. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    mayonnaise kills all the bugs but not the egss you have to comb out the eggs but its the best thing i have ever used leave mayonnaise on the hair overnight with a cap.

      Does it smell bad after using mayonnaise? Sounds like it would work, but also sounds nasty, lol.

    Does the heat from the hair straightener kill the nits & does the olive oil suffocate & kill the lice? Also how long should I keep tea tree oil in my daughters hair without irritation?

    • @Fbalifestiles
      @Fbalifestiles  4 роки тому +6

      The olive oil will help keep the hair dirty and help the nits pull out better. I used all kinds of heat as long as my daughter could tolerate it. The straightener definitely helps. Combine the olive oil and tea tree so it doesn’t irritate the scalp. Let me know if you have more questions.

    what if i used a metal comb and the detangling spray too to comb them out after the the RID and after that I used so much conditioner on my hair, comb it, wash it then used normal shampoo too lol i only did this once and i dont see any other eggs so is it entirely gone?

      Just be careful and go through the hair several times a day. They are sometimes hard to find. Maybe you only had a mild case which would be great ❤️.

    • @Fbalifestiles
      @Fbalifestiles  4 роки тому

      I’m so sorry you’re going through that. Make sure it’s lice and not just dandruff. If you can shake it out, it’s not lice. Otherwise find someone you trust and ask them to help you tell your parents. I know it’s not a fun situation. ❤️

    my cousin has a lot of lice like the tiny eggs and my aunt out like lice shampoo and so much stuff and nothing has worked. any ideas?

    • @Fbalifestiles
      @Fbalifestiles  4 роки тому +4

      I had a SUPER hard time getting rid of them. The process is very tedious but getting into the hair with a very fine tooth comb is necessary. Putting oil helps to loosen up the nits on the hair. Also applying heat helped us. Honestly if I had the money, I would have had it done professionally. Hopefully that helped.

    So am I supposed to check for nits and lice before I put the olive oil and tea tree oil in her hair and her hair is supposed to be dried while checking before putting the oils correct

    • @Fbalifestiles
      @Fbalifestiles  4 роки тому

      Yes check to see if you see any white pieces that don’t flick off. If they are stuck, it’s most likely lice. Then apply the oil and tea tree.

  • @annatubb8164
    @annatubb8164 4 роки тому

    I don't understand why you do so many steps. If the veg oil and tea tree oil kill them all why do you then go. Thru combing them all out, then using flat iron, then whats the braiding supposed to do?

    • @Fbalifestiles
      @Fbalifestiles  4 роки тому +9

      The braiding, for us, was keeping anything that might have been alive from getting onto anyone else. As long as she wasn’t touching anyone with her hair, she was ok but I had to do my job to keep them from spreading. The flat iron was just extra precaution. Heat kills them so after so many steps, I wanted to add one more. They are TOUGH to get rid of. At least in our case. Hope that answered your questions 😊.
