Man played at my high school and averaged 40 per game. Dude was a legend.
Do you think he'll get to the NBA?
The good thing about the game today then from my time is there are alot of different avenues you can take other than the lowest percentage of going to the NBA and get paid pretty well.
@@nofurtherwest3474 as much as i hate to say it, probably not. Hes a 5th year and insanely undersized while the nba values youth and size. He will probably get a summer league deal and then he will probably bounce around the g league or have a nice long overseas career. And as an undersized PG myself it hurts me to say this
@@nofurtherwest3474 maybe g leauge
Nah he going. He shoot to good watch 😊
I find it funny how the nations leading scorer is always 5’9
😂😂😂
Chris Clemons lol
@@treyk3350 Clemons, Marcus Keene, Markus Howard and now this guy
@@BallinDay96 jordan walker too lol
Maybe it's because not everyone in college is as quick and explosive as they are in the NBA
IT was the best scorer to me in college basketball when he played in Washington.. being 5’9 you literally have to be unstoppable to make it in D1.. let alone the NBA
He got like 50 somethin in state semis his junior year n he was super baby faced still lol
He’s still nice now, but doesn’t get minutes because of his height smh.
@@thegoat6460 IT would’ve gotten a max if boston didn’t force him to play through his injury, they did that man dirty.
@@ltnorbiit3020 they didnt force him to play through his injury, *HE* chose to do that.
To the people who think they are to small or to short for basketball watch this man right here.
His to short for the NBA!! Maybe overseas🥳
@@chocolatethunder457 Nate Robinson? Spud Webb? Earl Boykins? Need i say more?
he also has like a 45 inch vertical 😂
@@rileybair5993 damn.
Not all people 5'9 are created equally
He’s tough. Next level it’ll be hard for him to get to the rim. I wanna see more of his floater game. He gets a lot of lift on his jump shot. Very beneficial next level
I actually disagree with your assessment it would actually be easier because of the nba spacing and nba players really don’t play with intensity on defense so they can score .the only thing going to hold him back is he most likely can’t gaurd no one in the NBA because of his height
Nahh i believe the next level for him will be easy
He’s got a huge floater game lol. Did u not see the turnaround lefty fader?
@@MrPlies100 exactly!
@@MrPlies100 huh? do you actually think nba players dont play defense?
I don't wanna hear about the competition hes going against, the shots he is taking are just tough in generally and its going in, that's skill.
Your skill diminishes when your playing against players more skilled then you So therefore he wouldn’t be doing this against better competition
@@manospheredefender991 Untrue. It's a universally recognized fact that there are plenty of times you perform better against higher competition, and the reverse.
@@elishamcfarland9427 that's facts! Undersized players in general have to be skilled offensively.
@@elishamcfarland9427 lmao if that was true there would be no such thing as a professional sports bust. You jus proved why woman should stay out sports debates 😂
@@manospheredefender991 Ok first of all: I'm a guy. Nice assuming, bigot. See a name and assume it's a girl's name. It's not.
2: I have two friends in professional sports. both are semi-pro and hope to make it to the NBA. It's easy to see, for anybody with any intelligence, that busts come from players who don't work at their craft (Ben Simmons) or were given an incredible supporting cast in college and just looked good. Obviously playing up isn't a general rule, but my point is PURELY that there are tons of times where a player's game elevates to match the playstyle above. I play college basketball. Mine was the same. I'm no NBA player, I'm hardly even a college basketball player (currently not even on a team rn), but it's quite easy to see my point.
Every year there’s a 5’9 dude who dominates college basketball scoring. Chris Clemons is the last one I remember. He’s top 3 ALL TIME in NCAAB scoring & barely got drafted
They trying they best bro and still not nba quality smh tough cookie
Jelly walker similar story
This is what Julius Newman thought he was gonna be.
Lol newman 5’4 . Big difference lok
playing against him for multiple seasons in high school, it’s safe to say, nobody knew how good he’d get. bounce was always there but he’s really rounded out his game tremendously.
What school you went to? Bc I played him in HS as well and he been shooting like this since he was a sophomore at least.
Na that’s a fact I went to Halifax 35 mins away from roxboro where he from he was leading the state in scoring at one time with like 35+ then he got hurt on max preps
@@tylerbostick8099 that must’ve been one his last years over at RCS. I was hearing about him back home my early years in college.
@@deez9805 i went to BYHS in NC, we only played them once or twice a year, and normally they were early scrimmages/games in the year.
@@Letthat i was a freshman in college that year. i wouldn’t have known. only spoke on the years i played against him.
I'm impressed by the smoothness of his shots and the arc. Good stuff! Would like to see what he's about on the defensive side. Cuz on the offensive he's a BEAST!
literally a real life 2k playmaking shot creator
this guy is an absolute BEAST, this is so impressive!!!!
I wanted him to transfer to a power 5 conference badly...
this is seriously motivating as someone of the same height
Too bad the NBA don't draft guys like him anymore and if they do they don't last long Tyler Ulis, IT, Kay Felder all gone. IT did well to last the longest but still gone early
to no fault of IT's though to be clear🙏🏾 literally played his best ball while in one of the worst periods of his life. C's are trash for not keeping him

crazy highlight package
Think he has potential to play professionally whether in NBA, G- League or overseas, so he basically needs opportunities actually..
that in-n-out @ :39 was crazy
Bro game too nice!
Hope he gets to the NBA
Watched a few games of his this past season and every game he went off.
Hope we win the NIT. Keep balling McGhee
This guy is special
🏀🔥🔥🔥🔥👀he is good
He the answer like Allen Iverson.
Great scoring guard would love to see playmaking ability and defensive acumen. You can be small but be a very affective defender. On the next level I hope he gets to a situation where he can grow and be allowed to make mistakes. He can have a trey young experience sor end up like a trey Burke and ish smith
He got that COLLEGE 2K7 JUMPER. THE HOTTEST QUICK RELEASE I EVER SEEN ON 2K😭🤣😎
Sweet baby Jesus!!!
This dude needs to be in the NBA bro like how?!
Can we get a Kendric Davis highlight reel?

Bro a bucket but that fadeaway is horrendous 😭
Plays like former Oregon Duck Tajuan Porter
IT mixed with Curry
He'll be a great NBA player
He won't make the NBA.
Who can he guard?
NBA defences cover a LOT of ground.
The speed. The length. The skill.
The NBA is different - size matters.
DEFINITELY wont make an NBA roster. Headed straight to CHINA.
@@JonBernard41 who can u guard

I see a lil trae young in him. But he lil smaller than ice trae so we gotta see how his size plays out
Blinders mismatch expert
That's what's up. Us lil guys can ball & you can tell that he has touch because when he shoots, his teammates heads down the court.
Cant defend
@@MrSPIDEY21 I saw him rip a few people. Defend, in my book, is to take the ball. I can't stand to see players only standing in the front of players & not take the ball. Defense.
@@MrSPIDEY21 there’s a lot of tall guys that can’t defend and have ok offense at best
@@itsherrotime what’s your point. They can’t defend because they’re not good but they are atleast a prospect to be seen. A small guy is a liability no matter what so i don’t see the point you are making. Just being stupid. That’s like me saying “a 5’10 center wouldn’t be able to guard other centers” and then you come along saying “there are 7 footers that can’t guard centers”…what’s your point. Just making straw man arguments
@@MrSPIDEY21 straw man arguments but mentions a 5’10 center lol
45% fg, 39% 3pt, that translates to 37% fg, 32% 3pt in the NBA. It's truly hard for anyone under 5'10 to make it to the NBA. One switch on defense and he's toast.
Similar stats to steph curry @ Davidson
@@Jonnydriller curry is 6'2 barefoot, this guy's probably 5'8 barefoot.

Still don’t know why Seth curry left this school. This kid reminds me of Carsen Edwards
He’s 5’9 but his head is not far off from center head 🤔.. height so tricky
Lil Iverson
A lot of y'all comments are just weird; one I've seen often is "can he defend?" What skill as a defender you have to have to guard a player that more than likely will be spotting up in the corner or on the wing? No team in the league is asking this guy to lock up the opposing teams best offensive player. More than likely he'll be guarding someone like a Jae Crowder, Dorian Finney Smith, Grant Williams, guys who aren't as ball dominant as some of the leagues best players. You think it's hard to guard a guy like PJ Tucker, a corner sitter?
I think you are kind of slow. If he’s guarding any of those you know he’s the mismatch right. If he’s on Jae crowder they gonna give the ball to Jae crowder
@@MrSPIDEY21 to do what?
Mahmoud Abdul Rauf. Jr
Kind of looks like Lil Romeo in the face
5'9 aka 5'7 bucket.
Haha it looks easy but I love his game
The nba is about entertainment….if you can’t play above the rim hang it up. No doubt this guy can ball but he won’t sell out seats. Most of all he won’t get a good shot. He should be a good back up in the league or starter but the league is all about height of days. You have 6’8 PG’s
Trey young
Darius got a 48 inch vert he can most definitely play above the rim
He will play for the G League then maybe get a 10 day contract his shot is butter
Er ist jetzt in bonn unter Vertrag als Profi in germany
German Dupree crossing gaurd
Trae Young part 2 coming soon…
Ouwee
and the internet still says Julian Newman is 5'8 🤡
Spud Webb 2.0

Great scorer but where will he play in the nba? There are plenty of better scorers who are taller and more athletic. If you wants a shot than he needs to develop some passing and play making skills as well
better scorers? he's putting up 24pts per game
@@MangoBums lets not be delusional. scoring 24 points a game in college as the main option doesn't mean you'll do the same in the NBA.
Yeah the NBA doesnt care and that's sad, and its because 7 FOOTERS that can't shoot have MORE value than a dude who actually trains hard, its because short dudes can't play defense obviously but its not their fault that they can't guard GIANTS, Genetics always bless the wrong people. I CAN bet if THIS dude would be 7'3 Like VICTOR WEMBANYAMA, he would AVERAGE 50 POINTS a game in THE NBA.
