As an undersized guard, it's important that you're a great ball handler, a great three point shooter, and a great playmaker and passer. In this video, we'll look at Fred VanVleet and find some things you can take from his game and add to yours that will for sure make you more successful on the court if you're a small guard or even if you aren't!

First clip: Went off 1 foot, usually meaning less control.
Second clip: Went off of two feet; usually more control, more power, more likely to draw a foul.

I do have a question. Is it a great idea to control your space by both dictating the pace of the game and using the space that the defender is already giving you to create more space? I notice that this can work for undersized guards and I have had great success with it, but I didn't want to pass it down until i got confirmation from you. Us small guards aren't always going to be able to bump to control our space so in terms of taking what the defense gives i control the pace of the defender with change of speed. If I go slow and fully relax then that will make the defender go slow and relax. As soon as he relaxes then I unexpectedly attack whatever opening he has given, whether it be a 3 pointer, midrange, or get all the way to the rim. Another thing is attacking or getting to your hot spot without ever speeding up. Opposite foot layups or runners are your friend in these situations.

Bro your voice is too faint and your music is too loud and dominates the audio.
Just some advice for you on that so you can improve for next time- hopefully you’re not butthurt about it, but if the music is prioritised over your audio then it makes sense to turn it down a bit if you want to grow your audience and have people not tune out.
