I have alot of time on this bike and absolutely love it. I just cant decide if i want the fj09 or the mt09. Basically same bike but a few diferences and in terms of brand new the fj09 is almost double the price of an mt09
I'm scared to buy a Yamaha since they all seem to have too short of gear ratios. Basically all the new Japanese bikes are still using WAY too low of gears. I'm waiting for the first bike with an overdrive. They must be intentionally colluding together and not giving people an overdrive gear, to make sure the engines wear out twice as fast.
Great review. I'm based in the UK and I have just bought a 2019 model Tracer 900 to replace a Vulcan S 650. The Vulcan was good, the Tracer is superb. Right decision made I reckon 👍
@@paulkiley4667 Awesome!!! The Tracer seems to be way more advanced than almost anything else on the road. It has a triple which seems so much smoother and more powerful than a V-twin. Can you tell us how the highway cruising is? Is the engine revved up really high at highway speed?
@@Ritalie highway cruising is pretty low revving. I think at about 70mph which is our highway speed limit the engine is revving at around 4500rpm which it pretty good and well on the power if more is needed. I'm getting around 65mpg too which is excellent.

My 2017 FJ09 does about 75 mph at 5000 rpm, in 6th gear. Not bad. But it does have enough torque for more gears. I'd like to see it in an 8 speed.
Good review, thanks
Cool intro!

You know you’re free to change the sprockets

@@Ritalie it’s not too revved up in 4/5 gear
