My experience with the Casetify clear case is it’s very protective however it’s very difficult to get the case off your phone it also is prone to scratches which I don’t like this case grip is okay not too slippery but can accidentally fall out of your hand but the phone still remains in great condition but this Casetify is not my overall favorite out of all the ones I’ve tried by Casetify

So happy you are loving your new case! I think all these clear cases have issues with scratch resistance, though, and unlike the CASETiFY Impact and Ultra Impact cases, there are no top and bottom back ridges to help protect against scratching...

I’m wondering if new new clear Casetify option would have this happen less often as it’s not as deep. There’s a large gap between the phone back and the case! I’m looking for something that protects, but is also pretty. Have you heard of Stringberry, Carved, Velvet Caviar or Flaunt? They look pretty, but not much out there for reliable reviews. I really wish there were more feminine cases that had great reviews. Casetify has a lot to choose from, and Mous has the iridescent and clear. I wish the better Mous cases weren’t all so masculine. Hi Catherine! Tough choices! First, as to Stringberry, Velvet Caviar and Flaunt, I've heard of the latter two, not the first one, but I don't have experience with any of them. I reviewed some iPhone 11 cases for Carved a few years back and my impression was that they were very beautiful and unique, but wouldn't provide the same level of protection as a Mous or CASETiFY case. I usually feel that clear cases are more trouble than they are worth, but I have to say that I have gravitated towards using the Mous iridescent because it is so darn pretty. It really makes an impression. It's also going to give you more grip than the new CASETiFY Clear because the sides have a TPU component. The Clear ditched the grippy TPU sides of the Impact/Ultra Impact family for clear, yellowing resistant polycarbonate sides, but they lost a lot of grip in doing so. And the Clear is also going to offer less drop protection than the Impact/Ultra Impact family of cases if you drop it. My favorite of the CASETiFY cases is definitely the Impact/Ultra Impact due to their better grip and increased drop protection (the Bounce offers way too much drop protection for my needs). As far as dust getting in, I haven't had an issue with that, but I change my phone cases far too often to notice. Perhaps trapped dust would be less noticeable with the Iridescent finish? (And by the way, I bet the Iridescent finish Clarity would look pretty darn awesome with a purple iPhone!) The one caution with the Mous Clarity MagSafe version is that if you are looking at the iPhone 14 Pro size, you might run into some compatibility issues with larger MagSafe power banks. Most should be fine, but some really big ones, like the ESR 10k HaloLock KickStand power bank, are going to hit the bottom ridge on the 14 Pro Clarity and not adhere very well magnetically as a result. This isn't an issue with the 14 Pro Max, and I doubt it is a problem with the 14 or 14 Plus, although I haven't tried those versions out. Hope this helps, and good luck with your decision!!
I have a clear MagSafe Casetify case for the iPhone 14pro max for sale. Will ship. Paid $60, sell for $40. The sides aren’t grippy, so I’m keeping my Otterbox. The case hasn’t been used, and the tag is still attached and have the packaging too.

Good question. They look like the rest of the case, so I'm guessing polycarbonate, but CASETiFY does not explicitly say. If they are polycarbonate, you should be pretty good as far as yellowing is concerned.

I have the elderberry 14 Pro silicone case. It has a lovely feel in the hand, and a good fit on the phone, but it collects lint and shows fingerprints and greasy smears very easily. I also don’t think it is nearly as protective as either the Symmetry or the SolidSuit, although it is admittedly smaller than those cases…

Just sharing my thoughts and experience with a Casetify and Rhinoshield clear case. I found the Rhinoshield clear case to be more durable and rigid compared to casetify. The MagSafe is pretty average of casetify clear case and it also comes off easily with light pressure. While both these clear cases don’t do so well with the face first drop, the Casetify is comparatively worst as the case comes easily off the iPhone.
Thanks for sharing your experience, @irvfern. I agree with you that the RhinoShield Clear case has superior magnets. It took RhinoShield a long time to add MagSafe functionality to their products, but they’ve done a good job with it. I’m surprised you find the CASETIFY case comes off easily, however. The sample cases I was sent have a firm fit on the phone. That much said, the Clear is not my favorite of CASETIFY’s cases. I personally prefer the Impact…
If you apply a slight pressure on Casetify clear case, the iPhone does come off easily. I am sure it is not specific to my case. It is the design of the clear case that’s causing it. The after sales experience of Casetify is not good too. I tried it on the iPhone 13 pro.

I have this case for my 12 Pro Max. Yes still have it but wanting to upgrade this year. Love the case but it’s like it just drops inside it. No give whatsoever and stays on but not as a tight fit for the 14 Pro Max. Don’t know what they did or maybe mine was a default but I have to say best clear case. Apart from the scratches on the back. Perhaps I’ll have to get one for the 15 Pro Max or whatever they call it.

The Clear fits quite differently than the other CASETiFY cases I’ve used (Impact, Ultra Impact, Bounce, Mirror). It has very little flex to it, so you just kind of push the phone in there and it stays in, quite firmly. Tight to remove, though. I’ve never used the Clear for the 12 series iphones, however…
Hello, I gave in and purchased one yesterday, as I love how clear it is - normally I go for the ultra impact cases, but I decided to give this one a go. May I ask, does the case feel protective?? Like quality wise too?? Also, is there front lip? I am worried that 'slimmest case' might feel non protective - what's your say on that? :)
Hi Steph! I think it feels reasonably protective, and it has great buttons and beautiful clarity everywhere, but it is not designed to be quite as protective as CASETiFY's Impact, Ultra Impact or Bounce cases, which will give you 8.2 ft, 11.5 ft and 21.3 ft of drop protection respectively. However, it is rated for a 6.6 ft drop, which is quite a good level of protection for everyday use. And the lip around the screen is going to be sufficient to give you 'lay on the table' protection...even with a screen protector installed. The only real issue I have with the CASETiFY Clear is that it is pretty slippery. The TPU sides on CASETiFY's other cases are going to give you more grip than the polycarbonate sides of the Clear. Is it very prone to scratching? I am considering buying this. But, I am actually looking for a scratch-resistant case. Or atleast does not get scratch easily.
Hi Lynn! So, in my experience, all glossy polycarbonate is scratch prone. If you are really averse to scratches, I'd advise going with a textured polycarbonate solid color case like the OtterBox Symmetry+. If you really want to stay with a clear case, go with a clear back, black sided CASETiFY Impact case and choose a print design. This is going to hold up against scratches much better than a plain CASETiFY Clear because the Impact (and Ultra Impact) has a small ridge at the bottom and top of the back of the case and that keeps the majority of the case back slightly elevated off a flat surface when the case is placed on its back. This leads to less scratching over time. Also, having a print design takes your eyes off scratches and fingerprints. Hope this helps! Good luck with your decision!
I have this case. The back portion is thicker, making the whole back flat and in-line with the larger camera bumps. There’s about 1-2mm extra width extending past the camera so if you lay it on the table it won’t touch. If you look at the case side on you can see it’s thicker. I’m really loving this case. I accidentally dropped my phone onto concrete getting it out of my pocket and only some damage to the case corner

You are right that the back is thicker, for extra protection, and as such, the back camera rim doesn't need to be as raised as it otherwise would have to be in order to give good protection to the rear camera. At least on the 14 Pro Max version, however, the camera rim is still slightly raised, so the back doesn't lie entirely flat. And @Nike, the small raised ridges on the bottom and the top of the case back that are present on the Impact and Ultra Impact are missing on the Clear. I personally wish they were there, because I think they help limit everyday scratching, but as a result, the Clear looks extra slim and sleek.
Amazing video and very detailed. Would you happen to know whether whether this is a one materiel case or multiple? I know casetify usually has tpu, tpe and polycarbonate combo. Watching your video makes me believe that this case has polycarbonate and tpe. Just want to confirm that with you.
Hi Ivan! That's an excellent question. CASETiFY doesn't really say much about the material composition, other than touting the percentage of recycled material. The case is definitely mostly polycarbonate, I think...whether there is TPE in there somewhere, I really don't know. I don't think that there is any TPU...it certainly doesn't look or feel like it. The case has an entirely different feel than CASETiFY's Impact/Ultra Impact/Bounce family, with their polycarbonate backs and TPU sides. The sides of the Clear have a whole lot less grip as a result, but will hopefully stay clear without yellowing over time. Hope this helps! And thanks for watching!!

Hi Rita! ESR makes some nice products. I don't have any experience with their Krystec cases, however. I also don't have any experience using Apple's Clear Case, but I've seen it on other people's phones and haven't been overwhelmingly impressed. Another clear case option to consider is RHINOSHIELD's Clear Case. They promise it won't turn yellow for at least 5 years. It's a nice case, but again, like all these clear cases, it has almost no grip.
🤣 If you are going to do that, maybe you should choose a case that isn't clear, Umar! Clear cases are the most demanding of cases...many more things to go wrong.
I didn’t see anything listed on any of the cases, regarding UV protection. Also, 6 month warranty on Casetify, vs other companies like Otterbox. Their clear case has UV protection, and a lifetime warranty. I did however, order the Casetify clear case anyways. I hear great things about the case. You would hope a case with prices like these, they’d have UV protection, and a lifetime warranty.
Hi @anchorbrand! The CASETIFY warranty is surprisingly short…I agree with you! As for UV protection, the Clear is advertised as having something called UV Defender, but to be honest, this material is polycarbonate and polycarbonate doesn’t have much of a yellowing issue anyway…not like TPU. I think scratching is going to be more of an issue than yellowing. It’s a nice case, but lacks the grip of other CASETIFY cases.
Update ! : i have bought the case and I’m currently using it as my main case The pros are : slim profile case, feels slick and also the branding lol. Wearing the phone case is also easier than other brand. So for i have not seen any yellowing. The cons are: back side get dirty quickly and maybe will get scratches , but this also happened to my rhinoshield clear case so I think it’s a commen problem.

Yeah i spoke with casetify. I don’t think casetify clear I received is defective. It’s just the way it is built. I will check with them.

Does the Casetify clear scratch the aluminum sides of the iPhone?

Another clear case option to consider is RHINOSHIELD's Clear Case. They promise it won't turn yellow for at least 5 years. It's a nice case, but again, like all these clear cases, it has almost no grip.
No the case does not scratch the phone however the clear case scratches easily

@@TheTechReviewer I've never used a brand case just a plastic cases from China that dosent cost more then 5$
🤣 If you are going to do that, maybe you should choose a case that isn't clear, Umar! Clear cases are the most demanding of cases...many more things to go wrong.

Hi Min! Not me, so far, but I move from case to case, so I'm a bad person to ask about long term use data.
I didn’t see anything listed on any of the cases, regarding UV protection. Also, 6 month warranty on Casetify, vs other companies like Otterbox. Their clear case has UV protection, and a lifetime warranty. I did however, order the Casetify clear case anyways. I hear great things about the case. You would hope a case with prices like these, they’d have UV protection, and a lifetime warranty.
Hi @anchorbrand! The CASETIFY warranty is surprisingly short…I agree with you! As for UV protection, the Clear is advertised as having something called UV Defender, but to be honest, this material is polycarbonate and polycarbonate doesn’t have much of a yellowing issue anyway…not like TPU. I think scratching is going to be more of an issue than yellowing. It’s a nice case, but lacks the grip of other CASETIFY cases.
@@TheTechReviewer ha! Casetify told me it had grippy sides. If it’s not, it’s going back. I have the Otterbox clear and the sides are rubber.
Update ! : i have bought the case and I’m currently using it as my main case
The pros are : slim profile case, feels slick and also the branding lol. Wearing the phone case is also easier than other brand. So for i have not seen any yellowing.
The cons are: back side get dirty quickly and maybe will get scratches , but this also happened to my rhinoshield clear case so I think it’s a commen problem.
