I used to order equipment from Sansui for our customers when I worked in an audio shop 40 years ago and were on a first-name basis with them. I should have ordered these amps for myself then, but I didn't have the money back then.
The first word i can think of is mind blowing!!! If ever i could own a sansui collection? It would need to be like yours, I could stay and never leave that room lol. My hat is off to you and the fantastic sansui collection that you have,
My envy buds are in a state of acute pain you lucky man,Sansui was always synonymous with excellent build and quality of sound, your video proves the points.May you long continue to enjoy it
Wow! You're In My System as the group sang! This a collection of a Fantastic Voyage 😃 of all star STEREO components! Never owned a Sansui I wish I had one in my collection now! Those speakers hello way to go! Yes! 😀
Good God what a kick-ass collection of cool equipment. I so wish I knew more people like you. I thought I was almost alone in appreciating this stuff. Regards ....
reminds me of when my dad bought our Sandi system in 78!! dual amps with jbl pro speakers with 20" woofer and massive horns. still haven't heard anything better than that to this day.
nice collection: love the JBL's and the Sansui stacks are awesome Vintage Stereo Systems just can't be beat. Love to look at all of them. Maybe one day I'll be able to make a video on mine.
Hi, it allows you to affectively turn the setup into a 4 channel system at the flick of a switch. You can obtain a whole array of 4 channel combintations which provide something for all types of music so to speak. I connect it through one of the tape ports and use it that way. Having 2x BA-5000's and 2 CA-3000's allows the system to be seperated into 2 completes setups if necessary also.
Come on, are you kidding me? Now i will never sleep again! I have the L150 jbl to, not the 150a . Great stuff there! Must have taken many years to collect this.
Amassing! Technology moves faster and faster everyday- there is probably more processing power in an iPhone today. Don't get me wrong I love vintage audio but this kind of reminds you of seeing those rooms full of computer back in the 60's with .000001 MB of processing power!
Hi, the song is "Paint it Black" which is a cover of the Rolling Stones classic. It is performed by a little known aussie/N.Z band from the late 1970s called Mother Goose. They only made 3 albums in total. They were "Stuffed, Dont believe in Fairytales and This is the life". They are very rare and higly sort after as there werent too many made. I think Paint it Black comes off the Dont Beleive in Fairytales album. I have all 3 albums buts its unlikely you will find them anywhere other than Oz.
I love it. Having fun with stereo gear from the 70s/80s. Your collection is very nice. We share some of the same taste in gear. Love those JBL speakers and Sansui Amps and Preamps
Might be more processing power in an Iphone, but i can tell you, even the high end hifi today, struggles to sound as good as this stuff. Forget the modern junk, hi-end vintage is the way
For me, old Bose speakers are great, different but great, and always "audiophiles" shouted about them on unfair way.... Recreation of stage, airy and thruthefull....901 is great piece.
My Rig in High School 1980 Was integrated Sansui 100X2 Amp(Big Black Knobs) ... JBL 4311's ... Sansui direct drive manual turntable w/Shure V-15 ..... When my friends found out I had paid 600 bucks just for the turntable/V-15 they thought I had lost my mind. All the equipment still works fine. however the JBL.s have received ah ring job and some new foam.
very impressive setup, must've spent a fortune on them. i got a vintage hifi pioneer set - its called Pioneer Private. Looking for a turntable to add on the set, don't know if the built quality will make a difference to the playback sound if i take phono out straight to the pioneer amp!!
A M A Z I N G Sansui hi-fi products from their Golden Age. was it an SQ recording? ....or just a matrix mix, i thought i saw the Sansui quadraphonic decoder meters going (I still have one of those in the attic or basement somewhere) & What A Great Pity the cameraman was having a prolonged epileptic fit while filming!
@@paididoy lol i been getting alot of o.t. in at work just got the Yammy AS1100 a couple months ago now i want a luxman q150 tube amp 😃 also picked up a sansui G8000 ! Check me channel out community pics also
I would love to have a diagram of how to set this whole set up. I have most of the pieces, 2 BA 5000's 2 CA 3000's Sc 3110 TU 9900 SE 8 EQ BA 3000 I would love to add the QS 1 but need your assistance please. Thank you
Tell me you don't live near any disaster prone areas, fires, floods, hurricanes. I was thinking the other day about those California fires and wondered how many vintage systems went up in flames.
Para la generacion actual .... saben lo que es el sonido hifi ? es tratar de reproducir cada instrumento parte de la melodía como si fuera este en vivo, como si estuviera tocando ahi contigo. Es musica de verdad .
back when these sansui pieces were new or newer, bose 901's were also much better quality than today's bose, today bose is an insult to music, I almost bought a brand new pair in 2010, a friend of mine had a pair from 1989 and a brand new pair from 2009 he bought, the ones from 1989 sounded far more musical, bose is not doing well exept their new wireless headphones are nice, they shot their own foot.
Very cool. You have them in like new condition.
I used to order equipment from Sansui for our customers when I worked in an audio shop 40 years ago and were on a first-name basis with them. I should have ordered these amps for myself then, but I didn't have the money back then.
Those are some bad boys ! Beautiful !!
Sansui best vintage brand! No Marantz no Accuphase.

I'm really admiring you spending time and money for the system. Tks for share.
And I thought I was sick with my BA-5K and two CA-3000's. WOW your vintage gear is awesome! I bow down to the Sansui master!
Rick, colormesound
This is like a vintage hifi museum

Giggity , That is a HOT setup, My Pa came home from Nam with Sansui He loved that unit thanks for sharing :)
Awesome collection. Im very envious!!
The Bose are very musical. Not for playing hard rock but great for classical. It pays to have a wide variety to accomodate all music types
Great, love ya. great tune. wow. so pure everything. you got it all my friend.
Simplesmente lindo e fantástico! Brasil - São Paulo - Votorantim.
Mister Macka this is very very hot.6 000 US dollars for Amplier only , Sansui masterpiece. At 2 ohms, 4 ohms and 8 ohms.
Столько классной аппаратуры!
I've heard those Sansui stereo systems. However, I still think that in the "golden era of hi-fi" (1970s) the best audiophile company was Kenwood.
Looks better than it sounds.
amazing set ..congratulations
It is a art show.
nice system.congratulations. great song !
The old Bose is very good, the new is OVERRATED

What a blessing they only committed such musical atrocities thrice.
yeah its pretty awesome.!

Mercy... Mercy... Whamm... !
Oh boy oh boy 😇👍
I bet , you would wake up in the middle of the night with a flash light and just stare at your equipment :)
Yep the Shure V-15 is a great cart and reproduce a great sound on the 929 & 838
Sansui rules!!! You should try some old Klipsch speakers :)
Might be more processing power in an Iphone, but i can tell you, even the high end hifi today, struggles to sound as good as this stuff. Forget the modern junk, hi-end vintage is the way
The SANSUI BA 5000 is magnificent, spectacular, it's a shame that the music used in the video is very bad...
What really caught me eye was the Lava lamps, hmmm.
It fits perfectly with the setup
Hella beast :-)
For me, old Bose speakers are great, different but great, and always "audiophiles" shouted about them on unfair way.... Recreation of stage, airy and thruthefull....901 is great piece.
Pedjo Gt The newer 301's are also great. I own the Model 4 from 1999 and they sound great.

Great system, with such corking vintage power amps --- your TT's however are mid to low fi
SR-929 mid to low-fi? You are a fucking idiot.
Hi Thanks for the tip. Im not on facebook but might have a look.

I would like to ask you a question about the sansui Quad synthesizer how does it enhance your system or what do you use it for?
What is the model# of that Sansui Tuner in the rack? Thanks! :) Yamaha and Sansui had the best gear of this era, with Kenwood a close second ;)
Had an old pair of Klisch, sounded great but just underpowered for this setup
Oh NOOOO. Bose Speakers! Ouch, my ears!
he no use it lol,so whats wrong to you,jbl sound bad?
Hermoso
i have one of theses bad boys the best amp ever made
Great gear and great song. Beats Miley and Britney any day
Esses modelos de sansui é muito bonito... Os q tem vu meter... Geralmente o sansui não tem nem um tipo de vu sejam analógicos ou digitais...
twitter jbl l150a is great sound
Tell me you don't live near any disaster prone areas, fires, floods, hurricanes. I was thinking the other day about those California fires and wondered how many vintage systems went up in flames.
I just came.
Que usina de som linda
Great equipment., but, I’m thinking it could sound much better. Everyone’s ear is different though.
Para la generacion actual .... saben lo que es el sonido hifi ? es tratar de reproducir cada instrumento parte de la melodía como si fuera este en vivo, como si estuviera tocando ahi contigo. Es musica de verdad .
Are you seller from JBL and SanSui?
Nice setup but please cut your tie wraps :)
It's funny how well my $300 7.1 logitech sound system handles that... most of it seems to be running through my central channel for whatever reason.
great system playing some good music and not that audiophile junk. :D
When you listen to high end equipment via laptop or mobile device.
