Since 2021 we lead the league in 4th down attempts. 134 attempts since Goff became our QB. 64% Conversion rate. Compare that with 2nd place Browns who started copying us in 2022 and have done so many they sit at 131 attempts but they only have a 41% conversion rate. We own the 4th down in Detroit
That first win in Lambeau in however many years it was, when the lions knocked Aaron Rodgers and packers out of the playoffs as well as the off the team. Sweet victory
Lions 20, Packers 16 (January 8, 2023) The Lions and Packers faced off at Lambeau Field, with the Packers needing a victory to clinch the last playoff spot in the NFC. After a 9-6 halftime deficit, the Lions rebounded to a 20-16 victory to stun the Packers and knock them out of the playoff race. The game was characterized by two costly Packers turnovers, undisciplined play from multiple Packer defenders, and several missed opportunities. With the loss, the Packers fell to an 8-9 record, giving them their third losing season in seven years and was Rodgers last game as a Packer. This game will be looked at as the point of the upward trajectory of this era of the franchise.
When they added the 3rd wild card spot I liked it because I figured the it gave the Lions a better shot at the playoffs. Now that I think they'll have a good team for a long time. 2 spots wouldn't really bother me! 😃😳
Me personally watching the Rams vs Lions last year just like you said. It was also on my birthday so it just added another level of special to myself personally.
I've been a diehard fan of the Lions for 40+ years. I've witnessed all the bullshit, heartache, and every emotion but happy with this organization in that span. That's why this FEELS SO AMAZING. As for this era, It all starts at the top. Sheila Ford Hamp, Spielman, Holmes, Campbell, and everyone else involved in the organization. They all created an environment that makes it so easy for the players to play hard. It's respect. Players easily bought in to Campbell and staff. How fast the organization went from bottom feeders fighting for scraps to a juggernaut is unheard of. We've never seen anything like this in history. #ONEPRIDE
From VA: for me, the greatest Lions win was over the Packers on Thanksgiving Day, 1962 (been a Lions fan since 1960). The second greatest was Dan Campbell's first win, over the Vikings at Ford Field. I'll never forget the way the crowd just exploded when Amon Ra caught the winning TD pass from Jared.
Division winners should get a home playoff game period. 2nd place teams had 6 regular season game opportunities to win the division they didn't get it done. Minnesota had their opportunities and their record doesn't matter they were a 2nd place team they controlled their own destiny and lost those games. A division champion's fan base deserves a home playoff game.
I like this thought process, i believe we decide who makes playoffs the same way, then we reseed. My way the Bucs are number 6 and Rams are 7 seed. The Lions still 1 the Eagles or Vikes 2 or 3, the commanders 4 and the Packers 5.imagine the Packers at the Commanders and the Rams at Vikings or Eagles and Bucs at Vikes orEagles that makes a lot more sense
Beating Dallas this year was the whipping that made my year. Especially after the way we lost last year. There's so many swollen heads on that team and fans I work with that you'd think Jerry Jones bread hot air ballons. But this year, it was nice seeing "America's " hot air balloons popped and deflated to the embarrassing whippin we gave them.
I don't think they ought to change anything. I hope they change the kick-off back to last years rules, and I wish UA-cam would turn the thumbs down counter back on, That's CENSURESHIP.
Maybe I’ve missed it-but how does UA-cam censure anybody here? In no way have I ever read an article where the site expresses a great disdain for any creator. (You might want to look to the meaning of words before you use them, Webster).

Rams Lions first week of November 1999. I think it was 5-2 v 6-1, if I recall. Crowell caught a monster bomb to make the lions the best team in the league. Sadly they finished .500, but one other highlight was the first win v Washington in decades in December. The other great one was the playoff win v the cowboys in 1991
I don't know man. That win against Dallas in 91 was huge. No one, and I mean NO ONE gave us a chance. And that punched our ticket to the NFC Championship game at RFK. I was there. Both games. Huge. And Barry's jailbreak TD run? Unforgettable.
I agree with the Lions/Rams game, Dallas second and this recent Vikings game third but it's about a tie with Dallas playoff win. The win against the Cowboys ended a nine-game postseason losing streak - the longest in NFL history.
It's funny how this potential rule change has been talked about for DECADES and only now gets considered when the scenario we dream of actually happens lol. Should've been changed a long time ago, should be approved for next season. Even if Detroit ends up #5 next year while winning the division, I'm all for it.
Stafford DID, in fact, helped rebuild the Lions team. His trade gave the Lions some of the core players we have today, including Jared Goff. Thank you, Matt.
Don't need to change anything just because this one season, the 2 best NFC teams happened to be in the same division. If the Vikings are upset they went from #1 to #5 seed, then they should have won the divison. If we had lost and become the #5 seed and been forced to go play in LA, I wouldn't have been mad at the format. I would've been mad that we didn't win the division. Earn it the same way every other division winner has for decades.
best win? easy Lions v The Chiefs. We were the underdog and winning that first game in Kansas at their home stadium set the tone for the entire season and the next one. Second to that would be the Rams and the Lions in the playoffs because of the story. You're good enough for Detroit Jared Goff!!!!
Update: the 12-5 Redskins* beat the 10-7 Buccaneers in Tampa Bay. I believe Washington were glad to have played in balmy Tampa than frigid DC in January. * Yeah, I know it's the Commanders, but Native American activists are seeking to change the name back to Redskins. While they're at it, give the Cleveland baseball team back its name of Indians, where it was so named in honor of major league baseball's first Native American ballplayer, Louis Sockalexis, who also played for the Cleveland Indians. That legacy should not be lost on Cleveland. The social justice warriors can go pound sand.
Bro they're about to be history. They're not about to win anything, just help boost Detroits economy with the Lions for a few years because of the auto industry in shambles a few years ago . They'll fall back after this season ends.
Win division. Get a home playoff game. I can't remember when it hasn't been like that. Wild card teams are punished for LOSING their division. Good record or not, you didn't win your division you don't deserve the home game.
Hawaii likes the Lions! Must be that Honolulu blue!
After the lions has started going for it on 4th down more and more teams are going for it

1/18 8pm Washington…LFG Lions!
Your points are well made and I agree. From one seed to five seed made no sense!

1957,1933 National championships, that was the Lions best games...
Greatest win ever was lions 40 GB 0. 1970,I believe opening day in Green Bay
IDK I loved the come back win against the Texans this year, 5 interception and still won. That game proved to me the Lions embody Grit
I was at a watching party in Dallas, Lions were down bad at half time, I was getting ridiculed and low and behold Eric Hipple brought us back.😅
Just an old school game 1962 Thanksgiving game against GB! But the last Vikings was pretty great!
Love the vids ❤

Exactly as you suggested is exactly how it should be. The Vikings got hosed by this. Not fair. Coming from a lions fan

Thanksgiving day 1962, Lions 26, Packers 14.
Wow, and I thought I was old.
Tbh, my favorite big time Lions victory was the playoff rubbing they gave to Dallas in 91 to go to the Conference Finals game.
And then the Cowboys went on to win the Super Bowl the next year and lions went on to sucking
@michaelmaas5544 and Dallas earned it, and kudos to them.
Most fun is definitely the Titians game this season.

The Rams last year was probably number one
Vikings lost against the rams regular season. Week after the lions, lions hangover!!!
Yes, all division winners should make the playoffs. But, after that, seeding should be based on W-L records.
A format is a format
Rams
First playoff win in 31 years and it was against Stafford
Stafford DID, in fact, helped rebuild the Lions team. His trade gave the Lions some of the core players we have today, including Jared Goff. Thank you, Matt.
biggest victory, this viking win, and last year's win in round 2
If they want to get rid of the division leader’s home game then you have to get rid of all divisions.

I think this Viking win kind of ended the SOL of the lions.
It was Russell Westbrook and it was like 2 years before he was drafted.
Nah I hope they don’t do that. Division winners getting home field advantage creates a lot of rivalries in that division
Russell Wilson not Westbrook bruh
No. Division games r the hardest to win. If u win ur division u deserve a home playoff game.
When did Russell Westbrook play 4 the Seahawks?
The vikings loss was to the rams who they are playing in the first round lool
Craig Russell Westbrook played for the Seattle Seahawks? 🤣L O L
Bro they're about to be history. They're not about to win anything, just help boost Detroits economy with the Lions for a few years because of the auto industry in shambles a few years ago . They'll fall back after this season ends.
They need to stay off our band wagon. We got shit on for years

Vikings lost you the rams after losing to us

hi Craig
Bullshit!! Win the division get a home playoff game!!
Russell Westbrook 💀💀💀
Stafford winning the game with a broken arm
If you don't want to be the 5 seed with 14 wins then win your division games.
Half the league in the playoffs that’s just idiotic
Win in 1991 Season over the Cowboys sending them to NFC championship
Don’t like to change leave it the way it is it is what it is guys all these “improvements” are ruining the game
The Vikings lost to the lions twice and rams once
Quit your whining!!! If the lions LOST, no one would be saying anything. Vikes and pack won't really achieve anything till the grow up.
They lost to the Rams right after we beat them
Once Texas lose to Kansas City, all of Texas will be blue too
I have to pay $ to sub.. = #Blocked
It’s going to favor Minnesota the way it’s done now. Vikings will knock off LA
They lost to the Rams
