Nobody is mentioning the fact that with all these injuries our subs are getting a lot of experience and getting better each week. When we get all of our starters back, look the fuck out!
@@larrycadieux8648Not many their core group of backups should be cheap to keep, and if we have to let them go, and they made plays after stepping up to help this team win then thank them for everything they did to help.
Most underrated defensive player in the entire NFL right now had he stayed healthy all season he would've been a serious contender for defensive MVP, but they just give it to whoever has the most sacks lately not who made the biggest impact on their defense like they should be.
Doc is amazing. You can really see and feel the effect of the culture change that coach Campbell has brought to this city/team when non players have also feel it too.
I do remember we played Dallas off the Bye week way back after week 4. The Lions had one of the earliest bye weeks along with the Titans, Chargers and Eagles.
The NFL scheduling committee needs to make it so no team in the NFL has a bye week before week 8 of the season, and make sure no team has to play 4 games in 18 days ever again.
Thank you and congratulations to the Lions for bouncing the Vikings! Hoping the Rams can put the Vikings out of their misery for this season! Go Lions!
With the NCAA bye teams all losing was more than just the bye. It was the bye plus 3 extra weeks whereas the teams they played just had the 3 weeks and then got back in rhythm. It was a competitive advantage for the other teams.
I think the fact that all of the teams that had a bye were also underdogs had more to do with it than having an extra week off, like were you really expecting boise state to beat Penn state or Arizona state to beat Texas
I remember one of the knocks against Wayne Fontes was that was too soft in practice… in reality he realized that keeping players fresh & rested was the key to winning a championship
The impact is hard on the body but remember the inevitable secondary impact is the turf which in my opinion is a major cause of NFL injuries. I know it’s getting better but turf is hard on the body.
i think there is a difference in the college playoffs. the championship games for confrences were Dec 7th. the wild card games were all around dec 21st ish. so every team had a doulbe bye week, but everyone had the same amouth of time off making it even. they all played the very next week so they were up and running but the teams with the bye have not ;lyaed vor 24 days. 3.5 weeks. they all had too much time off
I’m sure I’ll get flamed for this but the bye and seeding make no sense to me. Yes, I am both a fair weather Lions AND football fan. The Vikings seed drop is dumb, and the bye gives an unfair advantage to the best teams. Yes you could argue they earned it but that doesn’t negate my previous sentence. I personally think everyone should get back at it equally AND seeding the teams by W/L much like hockey does. Maybe I’m missing something in the logic of the NFL powers that be.
As one of your female fans of this show, I resent the women and cardio joke! You are COMPLETELY wrong! We get our cardio from Nagging! 🤣 🤣 🤣 I will soon be married to a woman and OMG.. 🤣
The Zeitler injury, absolutely unnecessary, and a foolish mistake by the coaching staff! Game was totally in hand less than six minutes to go no reason for the starters to be out there !
Polymetrics and stretching is why these guys keep getting hurt. These docs are dumb. Let’s keep doing the same shit we’ve been doing and they keep getting hurt and nothing changing. At the end of the day they are weak and over stretched. Power lift. Strong man lift. Why aren’t those guys always hurt? Something needs to change. Dude may have an MD but he’s an idiot when it comes to that. Same shit same result. Wake up dude
Agreed. Just ask Zdeno Chara. Broke his jaw in multiple places in game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final, came back to play game 5 just two days later with his jaw held together by wires, plates and screws. And CD cant make it back after 5 weeks. Hockey players are just different
I’m worried about Hutch. My concern is his NEW 100% Now 70% OF HIS OLD SELF? - Because my Brother had EXACTLY THE SAME INJURY - NEVER AGAIN THE SAME! - I 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 IM WRONG
With all due respect i don't give a shit about hearing a sports scientist speak about team culture. I want to hear injury analysis from the sports doc, and then move on to people with real personality.
this is a team that just wants it more, and that mindset is what you need to go all the way
GRIT

@@rhubarbray2996 sadly they’re also having to let some good guys go after they laid it out there for Detroit

Yes
Except for Vildor. That guy will always be terrible.
Dr. Pierce is the man. Thank you, Doc.
Alex absolutely was the reason the lion's defense shined, he is a difference maker...

Always love these segments with Dr. Pierce - and this one was as good as any. Thanks, fellas!

Anzalone used his bad arm to help a Minnesota player up. They guy is a menace
I noted that also
They train and practice harder. Those trick plays don't just happen but have many hours of prep and planning, the players say.
Great show love watching keep up the good work.
I do remember we played Dallas off the Bye week way back after week 4. The Lions had one of the earliest bye weeks along with the Titans, Chargers and Eagles.
They should make it where no team has a bye before week 8
@HakeemTheDream616
Agree with that.
Bye week has no correlation to anything. Doesn’t matter if it’s early or late.
@adgee5401
Agree to disagree. Just ask most people associated with an nfl team would prefer later bye weeks.
They should have 2 byes
The NFL scheduling committee needs to make it so no team in the NFL has a bye week before week 8 of the season, and make sure no team has to play 4 games in 18 days ever again.
It’s ridiculous. Get rid of Thursday night football. They don’t need short weeks in this sport.
Thank you and congratulations to the Lions for bouncing the Vikings! Hoping the Rams can put the Vikings out of their misery for this season! Go Lions!
So you would rather play Matt Stafford no!?Naw
Just amazing AA played every snap but 1.

Terry on Arnold will be an all pro defensive back 2026
10:35 New Mexico represent! All sick! 🤪
Has the Dr ever talked about the Ford Field turf, and injuries.
Ford field turf or any turf is bad. Ford field is especially slippery for some reason
Amik need to stay outside and terrion in the slot the magic will start
Why not let the team handle it? They’ve done a pretty good job managing the roster.
The impact is hard on the body but remember the inevitable secondary impact is the turf which in my opinion is a major cause of NFL injuries. I know it’s getting better but turf is hard on the body.
70mph collision? Perhaps 40mph combined with both players at top speed would be closer.
The faces would be wonderful!
They run at best 22 miles per hour so running at each other would be at best 44 miles per head on car accident!
Yeah, the physics of a 70mph crash didn't check out. Minimally protected motorcycle crashes at those speeds have a significant mortality rate.
Duh I’m sure they REALLY meant 70 mph… come on man
Actually, it would be at 22 mph, not 44.
@@larrycadieux8648 If it's hyperbole, there's no need to quantify it. Just say it's like being in a car crash.
In a car you have the vehicle absorbing energy, on the field, there’s minimal protection. That’s how its makes up some of that difference

Hey Dr pierce. 👋
Week 5 bye is trash when you gotta play 17 week, go on and add the 18th game and a second bye week
Make it where every team doesn't get a bye before week 8
And that’s head on not at an angle collision.
What about John Cominskey?
He nit coming back, also he is a free agent after the season.
I’m sure I’ll get flamed for this but the bye and seeding make no sense to me. Yes, I am both a fair weather Lions AND football fan. Are these players going to have the metal removed in the office season?
Good question. No need to like lex Luger

Exactly I was so pissed our starters were still in the game lol
They Don't have enough players to pull everyone.
So we went ahead and left that in? 😒 Bye

I dont understand why CD is done for the year. It will be 5 weeks next Sunday. A broken jaw should be a 6 week healing process.
