I got a 370z nismo for 34,500 and it only had 16k miles. 1 owner, no accidents, paint and interior in Great condition, red, 2015. I think it’s a good deal, basically paying 15k less for a car that is barely used and it should be reliable and easy to work on myself as it is a manual.
Some food for thought (for next time?), two huge issues with the 370z is manual transmission's CSC (slave cylinder) failing and the oil gallery gaskets failing on the 2009-2013 VQ37VHR's. One of these leaving you stranded and the next costing you a motor. Most of the other issues are easily addressable.
If you’re willing to turn wrenches these really aren’t big deals to fix, yea the slave cylinder is laborious but tbh you’re probably going to throw an aftermarket clutch in it anyway so you may as well deal with it then.

NEVER EVER get a base/sport model Z. In 7:07 for example, instead of a 180k sport trim for 14k. You could easily find a V1 Nismo for 18k-22k with around 50,000 miles. Granted it's not THATTT big of a difference. If you do decide to go for a sport or base. LOOK for the S-tune and R-tune kits!!!!! ESPECIALLY FOR TRACK USE! These options were available from Nissan dealerships after or during vehicle purchases. S-tune kit includes - lighter wheels, somewhat useful aero (lol, lmao even), awesome decal kit, a different (better?) factory tune compared to the Nismo produced cars, and a S-tune specific exhaust (different from the ones on the R-tune and Nismo built cars R-tune kit includes - body bracing, extremely aggressive suspension set ups (compared to the measly .2 inch drop from base to Nismo cars), clutch type LSD (jdm only?), Nismo solid bushings, and an R-tune exhaust (different from S-tune and Nismo built cars. The S&R tune kits could be added to any trim EXCEPT Nismo built cars. So you could have a base model with base model calipers and get either, both, or none of the kits installed with it. Same thing for Sport and touring that have the Akebono brakes. Now the kicker, Nismo built cars (V1, V2, Nismo Tech) can use the S&R tune kits minus the aero. and they are BEASTS on track. Especially with the bracing, bushings, and the LSD. If you can find a Z with these BUY IT NOW!!!121!!!!!111 wish I knew this vid was coming, I should go in the discord more often!

The 370z really WAS a new car. It carried over almost nothing from the 350z. Different generation FM platform, different engine, shorter wheelbase, almost no parts interchangeability. The "new" Z is a 370z with an engine swap, body kit, a couple suspension tweaks, and some new interior tech. Same platform, same glass, mostly same interior parts, lots of parts interchangeability.

The make cams for the vr37 and the 35 the only one that got the short end of the deal was the 35hr but a lot of people just swap the 37 heads on to the 35hr block and boost it
Don't this car have fuel pump issues
11:23 actual demon was coming out
Woot woot!
+10 for home alone ref
Customer bought a used jag, left him stranded the day he bought it. 3 different new oem fuel pumps later it's running. Parked imediately for sale. Another customer brought in a kia mojave. New alt and new bat later still no start. Starter is next, located behind exhaust mani. I'll tell him after the starter replacement and another couple thou that the engine is locked up does not turn over. Sucker born every minute. It's fools like me giving honest mechanics a bad rep. If I tell the customer that the engine is smoked and the repair is more than the pos is worth they will just scrap it but if I throw parts at it then I get paid until they get a clue.
F it people just buy a new car anyway and I never see them again after cutting them a break.
@@user-np5uy8eo1k scummy mechanic is like water is wet or fire is hot, redundant

I miss this pre-woke, pre-cancel culture banter. Reminds me of the early 00's.
