I really love that they don't take things for granted, the whole assume you don't know anything, they'll tell you everything, and only do exactly what they say, it's really a great model despite how condescending it can be to some people, it's humbling that it will work when you blindly follow their instructions, there's plenty of commentary you could make, but I would practically hire dbrand marketing to make legitimate instructional videos for all kinds of things if I had anything I needed to make instructions for, if anything, I would be inspired by their videos when making my own, it's like my favorite part of computer programming, the computer does exactly what you tell it to do and the reason the computer got it wrong is because you didn't correctly tell it how to do it's job exactly...
Also, the point that they have every model and even if the installation is essentially identical, they provide separate instructions for that specific model because it's simply reassuring that the instructions are for you and they will work
I've installed my screen protector (didn't fuck it up on the first try!) and I have one complaint. Why is it cut to be EXACTLY as wide as the screen? Why isn't it like, half a milimeter or one milimeter wider? My screen is fully covered, when I'm looking directly at my phone, but if I look at it slightly from the side, I get a rainbow effect on the edge pixels, and if I turn the phone even more, I can see the screen around the screen protector. Visual clarity is more important to me than protecting an already fairly resilient glass. Side note, the squeegee didn't work. It must curve in slightly near the center. I used my thumb to gently work out the air bubble in the center after all was said and done. Not a huge deal, maybe manufacturing variance. I'd have put all of this in a review on your website, but you dont have reviews...
I actually haven't had issues with rainbowing, and I actually prefer the protector to be as wide as the screen since when there's a gap even just a mm it'll be a pocket for dust to accumulate. But I guess that's preference.
Thank you dbrand. This human needed your help. I stuffed up the first one, and I never stuff up my screen protectors. But I didn't follow your instructions of aligning with the white image. I went rogue and aligned it to edges. Not to worry. The second one is aligned to the white image with almost robot-like precision. Although, it does irk me slightly that the edges of the protector don't meet the edges or the phone. Is that to allow for cases? I'm using the ghost case and I have a good 1.5 - 2mm space by my human eye. Just curious. ✅ Beats the hell out of that terrible black-edged one from spigen. ✅ The way yours clung to the glass and nano-adhered itself without a bubble in sight, right before my eyes, was impressive. I'll give you that. ✅ Human fingerprint reader still in working order. No need to rescan fingers. Cheers!
