This is excellent, well done! The only bit I'm struggling with is how to take sections of video out. Normally with video editing there is a 'split clip' button, but this seems not to have one...
yes, I am struggling with this too. I have a 30 min footage which I want to trim down different sections of it to 1 or 2 mins. I can't break it down. Not sure what am I missing.
I’m new to 360 videos and this is a great tutorial! Just subscribed and will be checking out your other content. You have a great speaking voice and your presentation is clear, well paced and the information is presented very concisely. Well done sir!
Thanks, a LOT! Have struggled with previous version of Insta 360 Studio, BUT, your tutorial is very clear, and I will enjoy having a go with V4. Stay safe! Ian :-)
How to cut a specific part that I don't want in the timeline? For example an unwanted part in the middle of the video, how to do that? If I trim the middle part, another part from the end is missing. How to do it?
Great job on demonstrating and showing where all the old features have moved to in this new version. I was having some trouble figuring out where to find some of the old functions. Thanks!
Thanks! Your videos has help me a lot in the pre-purchase and now also editing. PS. You must be from Austria with that dialect? (My relatives speak exactly like you :D )
I am glad to have seen this video. I just go the 360 yesterday, and editing on the phone is awkward at best. Plus i see some higher quality options for the output. good job. I am downloading the Studio now. Now to solve how I am to do a thru hike of a few thousand miles with something to edit on. more weight and gear.
Great video! Thanks for all of the info! Still no option to cut multiple sections from one video at a time right? Or to be able to actually have a timeline with mutiple different cuts? It adds so much time to my overall work flow to have to export so many small clips to then open up Davinci Resolve to edit them together.... Am I missing something? Or is that how it has to be done? I appreciate any insight.
Hey buddy, great tutorial, congrats. Quick question:All features that you used to editing with One X could we use with the 360 go 2,or it is just to use with the one x?,I would appreciate your help, thanks.
at 13:13 where you created a new project, when i did that, it went back to the original unedited video without the keyframes i had put in following you.
Opened Insta360 Studio for the first time in a long time and was so confused by the new update. Now I know how to keep editing my skydiving footage. Thanks brother!
Still no multi-clip time line hahaha. The only thing we really needed in a major update. Needing a 2nd app to do that means it's best to use one that does it all surely?
@@LifeIn-nq1pu I think I'll have to use this tool to edit the individual clips and then use youtube creator to stitch them together and change the audio track. (oops... shouldn't this tool also replace the audio? What about inserting stills?)
I really think this is about the best video I've seen on the 360 Studio. My question goes to exporting the video in a 360 format where recipients can turn it to see the full 360 video. I've tried but it doesn't work. I am very new to this and just haven't found out how to do this export. Can you help with the settings?
HI, Great Video, thanks! I am trying to figure out doing the full screen scrub you mention at 7:20. I have an imac and using the magic trackpad. I tried several combinations and could not get it to work, any suggestions? Thanks
Watched this again. Fantastic film and you describe everything clearly and easily. Still didn't find were you can play a clip in reverse (backwards) and something else were you can freeze a clip and change you viewing angle within that frozen clip.? Maybe I'm asking something not possible lol...
Nice upgrade! However we all need multiple clips editing feature, we need to be able to add stats telemetry, and we need shotlab features in the Insta360 studio software. Please Insta listen to your customers!
Thank you very much for a fabulous tutorial. I recently bought my Insta 360RS and am I happy to find you on UA-cam to learn how to best put the Insta to use. Appreciate your time and effort... Bless you
Love your videos. I have two questions, first, can I do any editing with on cellphone? Second, what's the best budget computer would you recommend for doing these kind of editing. Thanks in advance and keep up the awesome work.
Thanks that was good info, can anyone tell me how to join seperate clips together in this editor to make a movie ratehr than just edit one clip? is there a way to build up your clips and add music? cheers Mat
Hi At 6:36 you go to the stabilization tab and later media processing tab, How did you get there? I use ver.4.4.0 of studio and can´t find a way to get to those tabs. Kind Regards
EXCELLENT! Thank you! It was VERY USEFULas I am a new insta 360 user - Is it possible to trim with scissors in desktop 360 studio? If I want to cut away the middle part and just use the footage in the beginning & end....it would be so useful to have a cut tool to make multiple cuts. how do you go around that?..thx!!
great guide thanks, how do u reverse a clip, so it plays in reverse in the insta 360 software on desktop? (i know i can do this in premier pro, but would be much easier first in insta software)
can you add more than one imported clip on the left to the bottom timeline? I have a few clips from the same trip/day that I want to compile together and edit all at once but I cant figure out how to drag and drop clips from the left onto the timeline down below. Please help?!
Well worth the time to watch your full tutorial. Since not mentioned, I assume that there is no way on the timeline to cutout a section. I do see that I could export 2 sections though - thanks again
Maybe I missed it? Can you add multiple videos into the timeline and export a finished product? Can you cut and delete multiple parts out of the same video?
Hello and Happy New Year!! I like very much your tutorial, I want to ask you is it possible to manage multiview in insta360 studio or it's only possible in a mobile? THX
Thanks, I'm exclusively using the studio on a mac these first days for me and I've noticed that when i close the studio desktop app, and reopen the files, the keyframes are not saved. Has something changed in the last year, thanks!
Excellent tutorial which as helped me understand the new interface. Can you still only edit a single file and create a single clip? Also, I have a Go 2 and don't see the small thumbnails above the timeline. You have 7 little thumbnails in your video and I don't think I saw how they got there and how they are used. Thanks.
I have the exact same problem. I have a GO2, and I can only edit single files. No "project" with multiple files, no keyframe edition etc. Is this a limitation with GO2 footage?
Great video... I have a challenge I hope you can help me, I have accindentally made some videos in bullet time but they should have been in 360... is it possible to covert it to a 360?
I'm beginner to 360 videos. I would like to put two or more 360 video shots together but I haven't found any tutorial how to do it. Would you have any tip?
Was dubious about dipping into 360, thought post workflow might be too much - your video is a top job - and it looks like Insta360 have done a marvellous job with the desktop app. Thank you very much
how do i select an auto frame section of a clip from the media tab in insta360 studio, and add it to my project tab as work product? i have 460 clips to go through and the auto frame looks like it should make this easier for me. Or how do i export my auto frame clips into Final Cut Pro?
the footage that you are working with is it 5K or 4K or 3K? I have 3K footage with 100 frame and the VID files are very low quality and massive graining.
If one long recording was broken into 2 parts by the camera, then how do you merge the 2 .insv files to have the same angle and zoom at the merging point?
I only have 3 icons down the right hand side of my screen - the third one and the last two. I have insta360 studio installed on a desktop, does that make any difference?.
Thx for the meticulous tutorial. Just few simple queries: Have you used the new 'in camera flowstate stabilisation'? It stabilises inside the camera as they said? But is it comparable to OSMO Action's stabilisation? Seems its very basic and does not offer advanced features like horizon steady etc.? 2ndly, processing / converting in Inst360 Studio is yields a compact size or we need to put the output again through 'HandBrake' or similar transcoding applications? Lastly, How long a 30 minutes 4K clip might take to export in an i7/16GB rig? Do you use GPU (NEVC) transcoding or entirely leave to the CPU? Thx so much in advance!
Great tutorial 👍. But I have a question. How to view the full 360 video on Android. Do we need an additional software after exporting from instastudio.
Wow, thank you so much for this great video! It's very helpful for beginners...
This is excellent, well done! The only bit I'm struggling with is how to take sections of video out. Normally with video editing there is a 'split clip' button, but this seems not to have one...

Finally :-D Some info on keyframe transitions. I've been searching for that for a while. Just wanted to do some hard cuts. This is even better.
honestly, the best tutorial i've seen for insta360 desktop app. so easy to follow and good breakdown of everything important. thank you!
Glad it helped!

A few thousand gigabytes in micro SD cards may weigh a lot less. Record on the trail and then edit when you get home.
thank you soo much for this amazing tutorial!
Excellent video for starting in this new world..!!
Thank you..!

Tienes razón!!
Thank you so much for this comprehensive introduction!
Thank you!!! I was really hating editing on my cell phone. I was seriously thinking of selling all my Insta 360 gear.
Hey buddy, great tutorial, congrats.
Quick question:All features that you used to editing with One X could we use with the 360 go 2,or it is just to use with the one x?,I would appreciate your help, thanks.
Excellent tutorial 👍👍👍
That's what I was searching for. You made my day.
I cannot thank you enough for the help 👍
thank you so much for this very informative video! this new software is a massive upgrade from the 2021 that i currently use.

Wait really you can’t add multiple clips onto the timeline? This is horrible. Need this added asap

Does the app shows an Audio Track to quick search edit crop where I need to create a quick vlog with speech?

thank you so much. I have been on the struggle bus trying to edit my x2 video
This is excellently explained!
at 6:30 where you spoke about opening different tabs, I couldnt get there. Can you detail how you got those other options?

You are the best, such a great way to describe the theme... thanks. And such a beautiful English. What hardware do you use for editing? 💣
Nice upgrade! However we all need multiple clips editing feature, we need to be able to add stats telemetry, and we need shotlab features in the Insta360 studio software. Please Insta listen to your customers!

Yes I was really hope this update had added shotlab features also.
Still dying for it in 2023 😂
Only option is using Adobe PP
Thank you! Very nice tutorial. The time shift function is not intuitive within the software so the wideo (I mean Video) was most helpful.
For me, as beginner in the Insta 360 world, this was a very helpfull video.
Thank´s a lot
Excelente bro muy intuitivo 👏🏾 muchas gracias 🇨🇴
Great tutorial. Clear and concise. Thanks

how do you create a sequence with multiple clips?
Thank you so much! You make my day! I agree, the Studio is easier to use than the mobile apps.
You just expanded my knowledge expodentially. Thank you.
Very good, thank you. Is there a way to join and edit two or more shots together to create a complete "story"?

there is viewfinder mode on pc? On the phone the exported Full HD is so poor quality, looks like 480p...
Hello, would you please tell about how to create one video from several video files in one?
Thank you very much for taking the time to make such a clear and helpful tutorial for first-time users of Insta360 studio.
The project management function is really useful. I get to make different versions and compare later which one is better.

The higher the bitrate the bigger the file. But also = better quality. Low bitrate is very pixeld.
