dunno if you guys cares but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my girlfriend for the last few days =)
David J Adams Its not a bad turnout considering control messed up the mobilising info on the tipsheet and over the tannoy. They had to clarify with control which appliances were needed before they could go. Usually these guys, the busiest fire station in the world, are out the door in, on average, 30 seconds.
I would love to see them get out of the station within 30 seconds on another clip of yours, when there are no errors from dispatch. I worked for the FDNY (Fire Dept New York) and people always think that the Firemen run to the trucks when the bell rings. I am now retired and still hear sirens in my head while I am dreaming lol JW93Emergnecy, keep up the interesting video clips !
These guys even do it without running :) They answer on average 6000 calls per year (no medicals) so they are very well drilled lol :P Keep looking at my channel for new videos :)
Hah yeah Soho really are busy, but didn't know they were the busiest in the world! Yeah I've got two videos of Soho turning out (Publishing one on Saturday and one on Sunday) with the Turntable Ladder and another video with both pumps turning out :). They fly out there like a bat straight out of hell!
What with the ambulance coming out of Greek Street and everything, it's a bit confusing for the poor young tourists. Perhaps there should be some flashing signs on Shaftesbury Ave. to warning pedestrians when there's a shout. I believe that Soho is classed as the busiest Fire Station (not ambulance) in the world. They do normally turn out a bit quicker then that.
To all who think there is a 30 second rule there is no 30 second rule appliances arrival time depends on the risk level of the emergenc y the first appliance has its own time limit and the second arriving appliance has its own timeline and so on and so on. For example for an A risk the first appliance must arrive with 7 minutes the shout was given the second arriving appliance must arrive within 10 minutes the shout was givin
@douglas108908 no I cant explain that one, I live in London, we don't have any retained stations here is I don't know much about them. They turnout system does work actually, it was a multiple call shout, that means that control will send a certain number of appliances, but as more calls come in, the volume of appliances increases as well, they were mobilised separably and the tip sheet was a bit confusing, now, my friend that is a FACT!
@Pete7647 there is no 35 second rule and for a station as busy as Soho is then its not bad, and there was confusion into what appliances was attending, the Pump was on the callsheet but wanst on the moblising alarm.
@douglas108908 its not an excuse, its a fact! the crews were told (by teletext) it was A241 only, then a message came through about 50 seconds later saying it was now A241 A242 A243........
These trucks look like great workhorses ! some folks might say America's are better ,but have they ever worked on the London Fire Brigade? Excellent video!
Some people have no patience, and are just so disrespectful. They clearly don’t care that the house on fire may have someone dying inside and the LFB have to wait cause people think they’re always in a rush, and are really selfish
Compared to my days in LFB turnouts are definitely slower. In many clips men are strolling to the appliances, also getting rigged before boarding. Would have had an almighty bollocking from the guvnor if I had done that. Still I suppose H&S have slowed things down. Doesn't seem to be any urgency anymore.
+Keith Wells No such thing these days at attendance time it is just get there as and when, no rush at all, as for the H&S it costs lives in jobs like this! The ALP has a crew of 2 so that could have gone straight out.
It depends on the call, if they get a house fire persons reported call or something like that, the station empties in a matter of seconds. But when it's an AFA or something like that then there's too much risk. Same as driving to the incident, if the driver goes through a 20 zone at 50 on the way to a house fire, no questions would be asked, but if they do the same for an AFA then it's likely they'll get in trouble.
I like how those people walkign across the forecourt get really scared when the sirens come on and don't kbnow where to go,surrounded by fire engines mobilising!!!!
my mistake should have only been caps in the correct place, but comment still stands,Not a bad turnout time for a Retained Fire Station,where is the 35 seconds rule?.
Martin Bonner that's right, the CFO got the idea off the Americans back in the early 1970s with the first 2 fire engines with white upper cabs being a pair of AEC Mercurys based at Billingham. By the 1980s all but the AEC engines had white faces instead of the cab tops, all that is apart from Stockton's TL which was all red when the picture for thefire safety postcard was taken; it was soon repainted to match the rest of the fleet.
So what was the delay in the first appliance being sent? if the call was for 1 pump then increased to 2 pumps and TL why didn't one machine at least attend? no the tip sheet wasn't to blame here, one appliance could have gone straight away instead they held back, if this happened in my brigade heads would roll.
fact or not its not putting w/t in good picture . trun out system needs to be sorted then eh . why is it when w/t get ot wrong its ok but if retained do it theres a big hullabaloo can u explain that one
Why not put out a flashing sign and a bell or a loudspeaker that is at pedestrian crossings to warn passers-by about driving fire trucks? Citizens march too close to the gates, it will one day be an accident, but an almost accident is bad. Here, for example, they moved back and forth so that they would not be rubbed together at all by the wagons that emerged almost simultaneously, it was bad to watch. How much damage does such a 12-ton car cause, huhh.
@rockobellie10 its never a good thing if they all get mobilised, but if they do and other stations are gone with then then a station from around with go and stay at the station so it can cover the stations ground just in case another call comes through
@WestMidlandsFire. I have not criticised any brigade. I responded to a load of moaning and criticism of London Fire Brigade response times made by EnidAgnusDei.
i swear mindless pedestrians and tourists ruin videos like ours when they are oblivious to the flashing lights of the vehicles and the firemen running to them or sliding down the pole and once they on the siren, instead of stopping, they make a mad dash and try to outrun them turning out check my latest vid :)
this turnout always cracks me up when the kids scream when the PL has a short blast love it
Hah awesome video mate. I love Soho's style. They're just like 'YEAH LET'S GET THIS SHIT MOVING'. Epic to get all three turn out :)
CobraEmergencyVideos Hehe
The lights are on, the doors are in the processing of opening, it's evident there's going to be a turnout and yet people still trudge past.
Yep! The other day I watched them turnout and someone on crutches tried to hop by in front of them... >.
Very mature
Well said @Glamagal20091

@Jax Canaan Yup, I've been watching on instaflixxer for since november myself :)
considering those sirens are pretty standard, they really know how to make a cool start up out of them XD
I
We all used to play with the sirens on the MK1s. You can make them tone hold!

JW93Emergency b
Love it, makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up
Best video I've seen for while, just superb.

They are the busiest station in Europe with around 6,000 calls per year.
@@ukemergencyvideos3335really?
I know one thing scared the crap out of those people though

those kids had the best view in the house!
No rush lads in your own time
TL and MkII are using Whelen Alpha's. (2 appliances furthest from camera. The MkII (one closest) is on a Woodway Command 3.
Brilliant video mate 🧑🏻👍🏻🚒

Ok thanks for clearing it up Cambs expect 35 seconds out of door after alarm sounded.
Really cool video mate
lol glad you caught LAS, lol iwas begining to wonder if you it the start of a quizz and we had ot guess what it was lol,,another good video as always

A24 Soho is the modern fire station, on the site of the original, destroyed by a direct hit by a German bomb in WW2.
@MagaHarry17 it was a great catch though, well done mate
LOOL indeed mate!

Tayside fire bde used to have white foam salvage tender back in the 70s. a B to clean.

Think they ought to invest in a green cross code man!!!!!!
Cleveland have red fire engines with white fronts, something to do with white being easier to see at night under yellow/orange street lighting.

Its weird that its only 30 years and it would have been 2 dennis rs and a dodge aerial ladder
qqqqqqqqqqq🌝

For people who say I'm going to die because I go on a roof you have a really slow response time. In all seriousness, nice video.
Ive never seen a white Fire Appliance outside of Gramian F&RS
So what was the delay in the first appliance being sent? if the call was for 1 pump then increased to 2 pumps and TL why didn't one machine at least attend? no the tip sheet wasn't to blame here, one appliance could have gone straight away instead they held back, if this happened in my brigade heads would roll.
@fire20p2 cheers mate :)
NOT A BAD TURNOUT TIME FOR A RETAINED FIRE STATION, WHERE IS THE 35 SECONDS RULE ?
Soho station must be out of sorts with pedestrians
@Dave303OV cheers mate :)
Probably the best turnout video on UA-cam, although you only really need to watch it from about 1:15
not sure mate
@fire20p2 yeah!!!
@mortgagewizard40 LOOOL mate, thanks :D
WestMidlandsFire, no worries mate, I realised that but not until after I had posted my reply to you. Thanks for your apology anyway and stay safe.
@Jackus2008 cheers mate :)
London Fire Brigade does not have any retained firefighters. All L.F.B. crew are wholetime.
@Pete7647 WHY ARE YOU WRITING IN CAPS?!?!?!?
ced siren or whele or galls
So much for a 1 minute turnout..
fact or not its not putting w/t in good picture . trun out system needs to be sorted then eh . why is it when w/t get ot wrong its ok but if retained do it theres a big hullabaloo can u explain that one
This turnout did seem to take forever? Or is it just me?.
Im still waiting for them to get out the doors in 30 seconds but all i seen is 2mins or more
didnt seem to be in much of a hurry to turn out ive turned from from preston circus brighton in the past a lot faster .
If you read the comments before hand you will see why it took as long as it did
Why not put out a flashing sign and a bell or a loudspeaker that is at pedestrian crossings to warn passers-by about driving fire trucks?

I wonder if they ever give a thought to having some of the firemen walk outside to block pedestrians as you commonly see the NYFD do.
As you see here, there was no need wasting men. A quick siren burst and those french students moved out of the way :D
FDNY not NYFD
When it first started it was nyfd but then they changed it to say FDNY but that was way back when it started.
I have a question I'm not from the UK so what's with that green light that you showed us as I have no clue what it means.
Green for pump, red for pump ladder. It's the old school way of knowing what machine is turning out
@MagaHarry17 got a bit of a shock didnt they :)
@PoliceAmbulanceFire LOOOOOOOOOOL same!!
haha thanks!
seriously cool those tourist almost shit themselves there & then lol
@rockobellie10 its never a good thing if they all get mobilised, but if they do and other stations are gone with then then a station from around with go and stay at the station so it can cover the stations ground just in case another call comes through
@myelite100 it sure is :)
@stopcraponutube What exactly makes them stupid in your opinion?
like i have stated in other comments, it was a confusing mobilisation due to the tip sheet being incorrect
@WestMidlandsFire. I have not criticised any brigade. I responded to a load of moaning and criticism of London Fire Brigade response times made by EnidAgnusDei.
@ukfireandrescue Yeah that was very funny :D
@Pete4000uk yeah they did!

Tubelines/ MET police use white versons of the standard lfb pump for when there are emergency problems with the london underground
Let me correct you, mate:
British transport police
Whelen 295
we usually on road with in 1 min of call out, bit slow in london, yogi bear...
