Love your channel Mike!!! It's addicting to see all the different projects you work on. It's great to see how well your doing and how many hours you work to keep everything going. You deserve that new Volvo and happy you like it. It's one heck of a machine and so universal for what kind of work you do. Hope you and the family have a Great Memorial Day!!! Can't wait to see your next videos.
Another great video of you and Jerry working . I love watching you all working in time lapse . A great looking job, well done, as always . As always, Jeffrey !!!
No mirrors were damaged in the making of this video. Lol. It's good to see Jerry back in the dozer. Watching an excavator crush old cars that are beyond repair is quite satisfying. Have a blessed and safe week.
Nice well rounded project. Clearing, digging, grading, & junkin'. I love getting rid of old junk like that it just makes the property seem more natural. Drone shots of it at the end really give it perspective. Thanks for the good vid!
It is always a pleasure when Jerry is in the videos. He really is a master on the dozer. He really does push you to work harder. He doesn't appear to be working really hard, but when you see how much he is actually doing it is always a lot. I would also like to say that I don't mind your videos coming out a month or so later. I really enjoy your content. If you didn't enjoy it then it would be so good. I think you should keep everything the way "you" want/enjoy it, so that we can continue to enjoy the content you provide. It really is appreciated. I really enjoy listening to you jabber as well. You explain things as you go. I have never run big equipment, but can talk about it a little bit now without sounding ignorant. Thanks.
Hitting the cab comes with the territory when removing trees with an excavator. We used stingers on the dozer blade when clearing land. Nice job on the basement. Rain, rain, rain is all it does here, you have a good Memorial Day.
Jerry and the Captain have been missing from your videos for a while. Glad the windshield did not break when that tree fell on you. It would nice to see in the begging of your videos when they were filmed. The first car was a Ford Galaxy 500.
Good videos I I have not commented in a while ain’t feel good in the last few days but I’m still watching good job on the videos good work you do I am caught up on them now keep them coming be safe
You ever use smooth buckets when digging basements to finish so everything is smooth, maybe your ground structure won't let you. We are basically yellow and gray clays here so a tooth bucket digging an smooth ending for footer & floor although we do have sand & gravel in places too. Being open the dozer did the smoothing an your clay very similar to ours in NW OH.
Nice to see Jerry back in action. Love the way you methodically move the dirt so you don't move more than necessary. Thanks for the great video. Stay safe
Those rusty car were Chevy and whatever, but the first one you were looking at was 57 Ford 500. What did you mean we’re glad to have Jerry back and he’s glad to have a house, sounds personal. Stay safe, Happy New Year
I love the stability of having a blade/digging with the blade down. Gets rid of the teeter totter and digs more consistently wo pulling your nose down toward the hole. Good vid
Nice job, tidy dig clean sides. Am bringing down trees over here in Scotland and al tell you, your lucky that was a small tree,iv seen big trees taking out ever window in the cab. Big Iain Wilson Scotland.
Hi Mike. For Me I enjoy the shot Show what you are doing rather than out the door or the high shots . I did enjoy the shots taking the 🌲 out . Anyway thanks for sharing Do appreciate it 👍. 🇨🇦 Craig
Hey, some buddy you are! Anyway, somewhere around about halfway through the video (when the "Three Stooges Music" started) you were being nice and praising Jerry. Couple scenes later, he's 'dozing' dirt away and you keep piling more in his path. Was a joke... Looks really good and you guys look frozen. Good job! Sonny
You gonna catch hell for that lol smashing them vintage automobiles 🤣😂🤣😂 glad to Jerry back, time to get work done now. Jerry dont play, he quit school because of recess. Damn fine job Mike and Jerry
Jerry is either camera shy or in the witness protection program . Either way he is one smooth dozer operator ! Loved the music during time lapse and drone footage at the end ! Thanks !
'57 Ford Fairlane 500 was the one with the red/white fender. Fairlane 500 was top of the line until '59 when the Galaxie debuted. The name came from Fair Lane, the name of Henry Ford's estate.
Jerry is going to ask for a raise if he watches this vid. Lol. Good operators make it seem like the both of you are operating both machines. Knowing what the other is going to do. So much safer and efficient. Mike you certainly understand business 101. Hire the right people and treat them right. This applies to the employee as well. Find the right people to work for and treat them right. Keep the camera rolling.
Nice little dig-out Mike. Jobs like that are pretty common for us here in the Rockies. What happened to the video entitled "Quarry Rock retaining wall backfill with Hx145 lcr and why I love..." I received notification for it but the video was removed.
I watched your video yesterday, and went to comment and it was gone. I was going to say that Had 60 loads of fill hauled in over a decade prior to building for our drainfield. We had a few test holes dug after purchasing the land and found that there was no more than a few inches of soil. I spoke with the state environmentalist and he was giving me all kinds of options, like a large septic tank and pumping regularly, incinerating toilets and all sorts of things. Then I asked him why we couldn't haul fill in. He started with all kinds of reasons why that wasn't good and then asked "when are you building?" I told him about10 years and he said something like "I'm not going to remember this conversation by then, good luck". We just had 9 loads of soil hauled in over the past couple of weeks to improve the grade and give us something to plant grass in. It won't be a bluegrass lawn as at this altitude it's hard to grow and we don't have water to irrigate, our well only produces 3 GPM.
I think its time to go back to school and learn how to fell trees with equipment from ( letsdig 18 ) 😁 but your still learning. Hehehe😉 .... Way to go and good progress on the job. love the vids keep them coming
@@DirtPerfect it's all good. Probably wouldn't have have profitable for you to slow down. Truth be told the chrome was probably held together by rust particulates loosely holding hands in prayer of one more day.
I bet a big part of the tracking difference between the Volvo and Hyundai machines is the actual difference in the tracks on them. Wide steel tracks giving better grip and movement than narrower rubber faced tracks isn't a surprise to me. If you write up where the Volvo does better than the Hyundai I bet Hyundai will eagerly make the changes to make the improvements to their machines. That old Falcon 500, by Ford.
Hyundai excavators are famous for weak drives at least in their medium sized units . They are quite reliable machines overall .however as was the case with mine , it started out as a really fast machine but got progressively slower and slower where as my Volvo with 2/3 more hrs on it and 8 yrs older is still really quick. . I enjoy your vids , be good 👍
Looks beautiful. As an amateur hole digger I am curious why you didn't leave piles of backfill material. This is not a criticism , I am just trying to understand the process and learn a bit.
By watching this video with the Volvo to me it looks like your main pressure is a little low I would adjust it up bye 8 psi. If it came from the factory and never touch the factory sets the a little low. Just a food for though because in the rental field we set them up . God Bless and be safe too
Sorry about that but for me working in the field we did have some with low power. All and all I like Volvo as always keep your videos coming be safe my friend
1957 Ford 500 2dr hardtop. Was a beautiful car in it's day! Looks black & yellow.

I reckon you should film a master class with Jerry on how to operate the dozer, tips and tricks
Like to one day
really enjoy watching you and Jerry work, and glad you still like the Volvo...almost as much as Hyundai ...
Lol thanks bill
Good looking job mike, if you noticed on the old cars the old timers stripped anything useable. Nothing went to waste.
Stay safe

Some artists use a 2" brush for their art. Jerry uses a 20 ton bulldozer. The two of you together did an excellent job.
