If you have to use a transponder programmed to the vehicle, the immobilizer is not tricked, you are for having to take extra steps.

I’d just super glue that little transponder chip in a spot where it gets read. Then any key would work. In my opinion, a car of that vintage doesn’t need that much security. One still has the key-cut security of old. Then new keys will only run $2.99 not $150 (if you didn’t need towing).

That would be ideal however a Honda immobiliser and alarm system wants the read the cheap as well as reading the motion of the key turning from 2006 onwards

If you could just do another video showing how close the chip needs to be to the reader (what exactly does the reader look like?) and Does the key light stop flashing when you put the chip that close?

So just glue the chip to the immobilizer?

I'm an automotive locksmith. It's a known thing sometimes cheap aftermarket transponders won't program. We mostly use OEM so no issues. The cheapies can work and 3 months down the road stop working. If you are doing DIY I guess that's OK but if you run a business and charge customers that isn't acceptable. If they don't like our prices they are free to call Chuck in a truck. Is he going to fix it in 3 months when it stops working?

I completely agree & this was just to get the damn thing started to move it. It's got oem fobs now! 👌

I just got my car back from the mechanic and the key fob doesn't work. They replaced the back rear tail light. So I tried to fix it myself with some trick I found on UA-cam and now my car won't start. I'm not sure who to contact but I'm looking online this evening and may call a parts store or the dealership tomorrow. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm not going to try and fix anything myself anymore

@@seramarie76 These are tough to call. When you say the FOB didn't work do you mean the buttons? What year make and model? Is it push to start or does it take a bladed key? What internet "trick" did you attempt?

What happens if I don’t have a transponder?? I only got a valet key, and it does exactly the same noise like that car in the beginning. It cranks sounds like almost starting but nothing happens. The green light key is flashing all the time. How do I get around that? Does it need to be reprogrammed? Should I call a key guy?

yes, that is the end goal, this was to show that even before reprogramming new keys u could still operate the vehicle as long as u have the registered chip to the ecu.

Maybe somebody can shine a little light here and help me figure this out. I have a 98 Honda Accord DX I did not realize this months ago when I purchased the vehicle. Until it became an issue but one day I came out in my car would not start. After taking the steering column apart what I did notice was that a brown wire coming from one of the immobilizer plugs. There is two green plugs for wires a piece from reading the wire diagram I found out that it was a control wire, the control wire had been cut in the part of the wire that was running down under the dashboard not to the steering wheel that wire had been spliced into with another wire and that was running down somewhere underneath my dashboard. Somehow I kicked that spiced wire and pulled it out from wherever it was plugged into. Since then I have not been able to get my car out of security mode and I'm pretty sure it was a bypass for the immobilizer I know for a fact that brown wire is a control wire. I'm guessing the bypass was to confuse the PCM I replaced my main relay cuz I thought that was the problem and I am getting everything but power going to the fuel pump. Maybe somebody can give me some insight on aware that control wire was spliced in jumping to I did notice that when I pulled the wire on an accident the tip of it had not been shaved down so I'm guessing it was shoved into maybe the main relay or an ODB but I'm not too sure I wish somebody could help me with y this.
