One of the problems that method will generate is running down your battery faster than normal... the system will see the ignition as having the key in it all the time and keep the Body Control Module awake... Unless the key is completely out of the system your computers will stay awake and increase the draw on the battery ... the same thing happens if you have a proximity key within the sensing distance of the car... simply put the car does not go to sleep when it should.
My 2010 Accord won't program any keys, so I'm stuck with the 1 key. The dealer said it was probably the immobilizer, but that if it turned out that wasn't the problem, I'd still have to pay for it. So I didn't have them replace it. My car has a lot of communication issues, so I'm not interested in replacing a part that might just be a symptom and not the cause.
Can you repeat Sir which key did u remove the chip from? Did you actually install that removed chip to the key assembly? And the key that you GLUED has no chip at all ?? THANK YOU
Yes, the original key and ignition were damaged, so the replacement key and ignition switch will work turning the ignition on and off, however the car will not start due to the original chip not installed, the new key has a chip but will confuse the anti theft, so i pull out the new chip and install the original chip with a spot of glue and we're off to the races.
Subbed so to be clear u did Not have to flash anyhting or relearn anything with a scammer ? Had any argument about this boss said it wouldn't work I said to think about it it should an does
what I know is this, if you have new keys and a new lock you WILL have to program, however some scan tools wont gain access, some will, in this scenario i used the old chip to allow the vehicle to start, bear in mind , if you have new keys, they might have chips in them and will confuse the immobilizer, use the old chip if available.
What a waste of time you definitely fail as a Locksmith and the transponder you just glued to the immobilizer that transponder goes on the new key that you just filled with thta liquid thats why it has that hole in it 6:15
Can you find the output of the immobilizer circuit and enable it permanently? I have an old Pilot and don’t want to spend a fortune at the dealer replacing the entire unit. I have been stuck on the side of the road twice already. It must have a transistor switch or relay that allows the car to start somewhere. Anyone have a schematic for the immobilizer?
im not sure its possible , most of the function is run through the engine and body computers, only hacking into the software and deleting the program would be an option .
So you just stuck the transponder chip from the one key into the cylinder housing so basically any key that can turn the cylinder will start the car. What was the Bondic on the key for? What is that glue holding in besides just filling that hole? You made it so you can drive the car, but like I said, anyone with a key that can turn that cylinder can start the car, Why not glue that transponder chip in the new key, and find a way to take the FOB off the other key and put it on the other new key (maybe possible), Than you would have 2 new keys, plus security
Stop being a pain in the ass and know it all, like so many here in their comments. Most important thing is that the car will start and you can drive. For God sake get a life!
Genius!!! I was wondering if doing that would work because I too got a new pair of keys and not because the cylinder stopped work but because they broke into my cr-v and messed up my door locks all except rear which now has a fishing line drilled into the rear passenger lock. It's getting tiresome going back the all the time and people look at me weirdly opening all 3 doors to access the cab. lol Ima doing this hack and gluing it in that location. I had somewhat an idea but you my friend just saved me several hours from my day; Now I can go back to watching porno and rubbing the lamp.
I broke the green ring thing on the ignition, I can turn the key on/off but the car won’t crank. Is the green ring the immobiliser and can that genuinely be bypassed? It’s a 2004 civic.
@@ThisReckless im not so sure , the system might be pieced together at the factory and may only come as a complete system , however the dealer might need to be consulted due to the level of software that may be needed to complete your repairs , i would call the nearest one and ask the parts dept if any items are sold separately.
I dont think so, i ran across another scenario a while back, when a person went on a hike in the mountains and lost their keys, the car had to be towed to the dealer.
Why don't you just unscrew the fob take the key part out put the new key back in and fucking screw it back together? Seems like the fob is what you need and you can just replace the heat part those things are only held in by one screw
His whole reason not to put it in the hole he filled with Bondix was because that would only solve the problem with one key but the customer wanted 2 working keys. This was easier/cheaper than dealing with the dealership or trying to find a matching chip set.
Great information , might of missed it during the video but do you need to program the Antenna? I have chip from old key but I’m replacing ignition assembly and need new antenna since I broke old one .
i think its called a transceiver , not sure if it is programmable or not , i know the main computer interprets the signals , then calles for the system to be oked to start and run
@@rick3090 The antenna is passive all it does when you turn the key on sends a signal to the immobilizer module and it gives clearnce if the code in the chip of the key is the same that is programmed in the immobilizer module it sets it free. Your car starts. I have the same problem here, when I try to read the fault car cranks but doesn't start it says the immobilizer is the culprit. When I put the chip to the Antenna it doesn't communicate, it says I have to register the transponder. Weird, I would like to get rid of the immobilizer all together. Car is fine but it sucks like someone would steal my 23 year old Suzuki Esteem. Do you know how to get rid of the immobilizer alltogether?
@@Pfirtzer I'm not sure that's entirely possible, the system is integrated into the module (s) , it would be like removing your nervous system because your finger hurts, I don't think it can be done successfully.

I accidentally removed the white box under the immobilizer cuz I cid get I it unplugged abs now I'm not sure if in reassembling correctly
How do you get a chip out of an aftermarket key without destroying it? The key that used to start the car. This thing's really stuck together.

You forgat to start the engine man.
You dont have to take it all apart to do that

"TRANS...............Ponder..." 😂😂😂
It's godjob sir very nice
I saw the whole video I didn’t even know what he did.
He took the chip out of the key and glued it to the transceiver. So it thinks the keys are chipped
Thank you

I think the green hoop is the antenna for the transceiver

You would be surprised!! Lol someone tried to steal my 1998 civic lol
Yes they do especially K series
Little edgars still think they are ferraris
My transciever ring is busted up like non-existent, can't I hard wire the 5 pins, I can read schematics any ideas
I don't think so, the receiver ring has to send a signal to the computer, kind of like a permission slip, if it doesn't work, it won't start.
What if you have lost the original key with the chip? Is there a eay to bypass or disabke the system completely?

How are yu sir wats the key epromme chip for that honda fit using a smart key ,let's say I want to do all keys lost on the bench
if the keys are lost , you will possibly need the dealer to programme a set of new keys.
Why don't you just unscrew the fob take the key part out put the new key back in and fucking screw it back together? Seems like the fob is what you need and you can just replace the heat part those things are only held in by one screw
Thought of that, the key that starts the vehicle, it a chip key , not the fob key, worn out some years ago.
@@rick3090 Take the FOB off the worn key and fabricate it onto the new key is what he was saying.
Ohhh
Why did you take off the freaking steering wheel
i think mostly to have better access , then it worked out better for the camera as well .
Is there a way to program a new key with a new chip to that?
not without the factory honda software, thats what im hearing, i tried a snapon and it wouldnt touch it.
Thanks for noting
The hole in the middle of the new keys is where the transponder chip goes. There should be a little cover piece that clips in to secure it in place.
Exactly. Guy not too bright

I replaced the ignition lock assembly and it came with 2 unprogrammed chipped keys. Can I do this with the new keys using the old keys chip?
i have done this and been successful , remember to dig the chip out of the new keys as it will interfere with the signal.
Perfect🎉
That's cool!
I would still rather call a locksmith or take it to the dealership if I can afford too!
That's why you will never win
