Sir thanks you for the video! Could you do a video explaining your great virtuosity? I am a fan of your playing!

No amount of videos would ever be enough to substitute raw talent; and there's nothing better than a great teacher for developing these skills (I'm afraid that the number of great piano teachers in the world today is dwindling drastically). Piano-playing is a complex task, in which musical intention, mental control, and technique are often indelible from one another. But I have made some videos that explain how I warm up and how I practice octaves, which I plan on posting over the next couple of months. Keep on the lookout for them!

The crossing the thumb under is one of the most egregiously mistaught things in piano teaching imo, all the kids focusing on passing the thumb under instead of moving their arm in a continuous and stable motion...

@@loganm2924 Actually, if played very slowly and without pedal, it's not such a bad thing to swing the arms in and out, to achieve a maximum legato effect. It's when things start speeding up a little - the ears can no longer detect the breaks anyway- that's when it matters to keep the hand pretty much even. All the more so since the breaks between hand positions don't happen at the same time when playing arpeggios with both hands one octave apart from the other.
