This mv is related to *EXO "Obsession"* mv where *EXO* lost to their clones *X-EXO* , Kai is in the world of *"the Red force"* (EXO's eternal enemy) that's why he is locked up and watched by these small drones, he teleports himself to escape (or to find the other members) (Kai's superpower in EXO concept is teleportation) but no way, at the end we see the power of *D.O* (earth,force) and *Xieumin* (frost) (they are coming soon from the military) which arises, maybe they will save him in a future comeback, it's my own theory of this mv

He is the center and the main dancer in EXO. If you love to watch his solo dance, I will recommend you to watch ICU(awakening) and the dance practice of Reason. You can see his ability to dance different style and genre. And he started to learn ballet when he was 8. He is called the best dancer in Koop as well

According to the EXO lore, the members are aliens from EXO-Planet with superpower and they are currently running away from an evil force.
Kai's power is teleportation. That's why he is teleporting in the MV XD
The symbols (frost and earth/strength) at the end belong to two other EXO members, who will return soon from mandatory military duty.
In case nobody has said it yet, Kai was very hands on for his solo debut, his ideas, this was a culmination of his hard work, dedication, it is what he had envisioned. It took a long time but it was worth the wait and more ❤️ so proud of him. He had a really amazing team with him and us, his fans, to cheer him on ❤️

Kai has been dancing jazz, ballet since 8 years old and has been dancing contemporary & other styles for long years... contemporary performances were none existent in kpop until Kai had a contemporary solo stage during the MAMAs in 2014, 2 years after his debut in exo (before kpop idols and companies focused in Pop and Lock and hip hop), The stage got so much buzz in the general public (because he already demonstrated it since his debut in exo presentations and concerts) that the companies started looking into getting their idols to perform more contemporary pieces. Kai is the blueprint for so many things you see in kpop today, which is why they call him the idol of idols
the difference is that unlike other solo artists, he recently debuted as a soloist

He is Kai. He is in group of EXO and SuperM. It is his first Solo. His album is so good！You would enjoy it.
To understand what is happening in Kai's "Mmmh" MV, you have to first understand EXO's concept.
Everything EXO is involved in, and I literally mean almost everything, is connected in someway to their concept and storyline. EXO's MVs are kind of like a movie -- it's a movie that has been going on for the past 8 years -- since predebut -- and it has no sign of coming to an end any time soon. The one thing you have to keep in mind with all of EXO's MVs, and I really mean all of them -- including their sub-sub-unit MVs and a majority of the member's solo MVs. And because Baekhyun and Kai are involved, even SuperM's storyline -- is that they are all connected and they all tell a little more of EXO's story.
From day one, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet EXO and they came to Earth with superpowers on a mission to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. Each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one if not all of them using their powers.
Exo, as in exoskeleton, means "outer," so as a member of EXO they are outside the ordinary.The group's concept comes from the real term exoplanet, which is a term that is used for a planet that is outside our solar system, so their name was chosen to represent the fact that they are stars that are "out of this world" when it comes to their talents.
So, each new MV or project from EXO tells another part of the story, and over the years we fans have started to create a timeline and idea of what we think each part of the story is telling us.
Kai's EXO superpower is teleportation, so what you see throughout his "Mmmh" MV is him teleporting.
And, I think, at the very end scene what you are seeing is SM connecting Kai's solo storyline to EXO's storyline. You see D.O.'s power of earth (dirt) which gives him super strength/force and Xiumin's power to control snow/ice/frost being used. (D.O. and Xiumin are members of EXO.) You also see what I think is the emergence of a pyramid, which represents Kai and his superpower -- as part of EXOs storyline all the members have a symbol that represents them. A pyramid is Kai's symbol and when you see a pyramid within EXO's storyline it represents something to do with Kai
I also find it interesting that Xiumin and D.O. will both be returning from the military shortly and the end scene in "Mmmh" may be SM's way of connecting the events of this MV to D.O. and Xiumin's upcoming solo work as well.
If you analyse all the scenes within Kai's MV you would find connections can be made to EXO's storyline and things to do with past EXO MVs and probably even future MVs, as well as SuperM's storyline.
As I think you know, Kai is also a member of SuperM, which is the industry's very first Supergroup. SuperM was created by SM Entertainment in collaboration with Capitol Records in the U.S. They debuted last year and they are designed to bring Kpop to the U.S. market. This group features 7 of the best of the best when it comes to dance, vocals, rap and performance in Kpop. The members of SuperM are some of the absolute best from SM Entertainment's most popular groups, which includes EXO, SHINee, NCT and WayV.
As you can see, Kai is one of the top two BEST dancers in the entire industry. And that's not just a fan's opinion, but it's a title given to him by his peers and the industry as a whole. (Taemin from SHINee, who also happens to be Kai's best friend, as well as a member of SuperM, is the other top dancer.)
SuperM's concept is that they are "The Avengers of Kpop," and the members are supposed to be superhero-like characters who are coming together to form an Avengers-like group to help EXO defeat the evil Red Force. And, like the majority of SM's groups, all of their storylines and concepts intertwin and connect. For example, in SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV, you see Kai being chased by or being aided by drones as he tried to scale a building as they try to stop the Red Force. So, I think the scene in "Mmmh," where you see him looking at the drones hovering around him, has something to do with connections between Kai's solo storyline and SuperM/EXO's MVs.
Also, Kai means door or gateway, so as a member of EXO, Kim Jongin (Kai) was given the stage name Kai because, as the center of the group, he is supposed to be the member who connects everyone together and that is why he was given the ability to teleport. Plus, as part of EXO's storyline, it is thought that the members are traveling between dimensions and time periods throughout history in their quest to find the Tree of Life and to fix all the evil and corruption that is thought to be caused by the Red Force. So, in "Mmmh" it is thought that Kai is traveling between dimensions and across time periods in his search for the other members and the Tree of Life, etc.
There is also a fan theory that the reason why we see Kai with so many different looks and styles in this MV is because it's not always Kai that we are seeing. Another part of EXO's storyline is that some of the members have evil alter ego clones that have been created by the Red Force, so some theories think that sometimes we are seeing Kai's evil X-EXO clone and other times we are seeing superhero, good EXO Kai.
All of the EXO members first solo songs have something to do with the fact that they are members of EXO, and their songs show them using their powers. Baekhyun's song "UN Village" talks about his power to control light, Suho's "Let's Love" MV shows him with his power to control water, and Kai teleports all over in his "Mmmh" MV. As the first EXO member to have a solo career, the majority of Lay's solo MVs tie into EXO's storyline as well. Even in their solo work, everything EXO does is connected to their concept and storyline as members of EXO. :D
Unfortunately, to make it even more difficult to understand, each part of the story is not necessarily in chronological order. So, we fans have to become detectives and analyze every aspect of everything any of the members of EXO/SuperM are involved in to try and piece it all together and figure out where each part fits within their larger storyline.
And the story isn't just limited to their MVs, but it extends to everything EXO is involved in, including teaser videos, live performances, concert VCRs (videos played between sets in their concerts) and even a majority of their choreography.
As you can see, EXO's and SM's Universe is extremely complicated and complex, and even the most expert of fans, has trouble following the storyline. The thing is, none of us really know exactly what is happening in the story, it's all just fan theories and educated guesses. SM has never confirmed or denied any of our theories and they have left it completely up to fans to figure out what is happening and to create the story. And oftentimes, because the story is not in order, we discover that, with the introduction of a new MV or performance, everything we thought to be true has been turned on its head and we now have to rethink everything. (We only hope that someday SM will come out with a book or movie that will explain the whole story, so we will know whether any part of our theories were correct.)
