    Hey thanks alex for the great content.i love the triple option and hope to coach it one day.i was wonder what app or program you use to depict the plays.

    ohhhh okay I was amazed with how well it works to show other football minds.i want to coach the triple with alittle of modern speead ideas but I just wanted to know if you think schools will give coaches who run the flex bone (whatever your term is)a chance to do so.to my point the only big school that does it;is georgia tech and I guess I wanted to know if you think more school will give it a chance?I know alot depends on certain factors but it seem like we see less and less teams run it and it kills me lol

    in your next video is it the counter triple option or the counter trap option with a pulling guard? keep up the good work

    can you run zone dive against an eagle front? if so, how would you block it?

    I'm going to run this in Canadian 12 man ball next year, we have the speedy personnel. where do you see the 12th man going? possible at TE or slotback?

    Really looking at running this concept for the first time this fall. Given that I am in Canada, how would you utilize one extra player and at what position? Thanks. Coach Allen.

      Thanks. I had thought of a deeper tailback behind the full back but that would interfere with the pre-snap motion. TE or pistol set may work. Really trying to invent my own formation which meshes an off tackle power run game, meets heavy, with Flexbone flair...lol.

      yes...He would be a great lead block out to backer everytime!

    Is it possible to have info about blocking vs 4-3?

    Love the content coach, could you do a video on 8 hole reverse (Slot T guy here) from the Flexbone? Also, are plays numbered like they are in the Slot T or are the just "Base Tail B Dive Left"

      Alex Carrick Sorry for double responding, but your counter option video is pretty accurate in the idea of flow in comparison of the Slot T. I'm gonna have to say that I'm stealing the counter option idea!

      Alex Carrick Sounds great. There were some coaching changes (I'm still working with play calling) and we were discussing moving away from Slot T and moving towards a Flexbone look. We have 3 of our 4 backs returning and a athletic Quarterback coming up and that draws us to the flexbone. One idea we had was that we're going to have the flexbone as the base offense then if need be, we will go Spread Open and just run such concepts as Shallow Cross, Mesh, Cross Flood and other air raid ideas out of a 2x2 set - but that catch is we can still tail/twirl motion and run the concepts with less people in the box. Do you do that and is it reasonable? I'm a few light years behind the other guys that joined the coaching staff and working on it. You're a huge help, thx

      Alex Carrick the concepts we have are
      1. All 0 (Hitch)
      2. All 9 (Go)
      3. All 2 _ 1 (Slant / Flat)
      4. Pop R/L
      5. Flood
      6. Post Wheel
      (Spread Open)
      1. All 0
      2. All 9
      3. All 2 _ 1
      4. Flood
      5. Post Wheel
      7. Shallow
      8. Cross
      9. Smash
      10. XZ Comeback _ 8
      Ten concepts too much? We feel midline, counter option, trap (option) ,trap option,zone dive (follow), rocket toss 8 hole and tail motion set behind B back and run iso

      Toss a screen a draw and one or two trick plays and that’s our offense.

    Hi there Alex, isn't the QB follow = Midline option?

    • @thomasgkman
      @thomasgkman 7 років тому +1

      Nevermind, I found your midline video and realised with midline we actually read the inside DT whereas QB follow its more just a straightforward dive play with a lead blocker. Do I have that right?

    • @thomasgkman
      @thomasgkman 7 років тому

      Thanks for the reply. May I ask when would you normally run the Midline vs the QB Follow?

    • @thomasgkman
      @thomasgkman 7 років тому

      Interesting. Do you find with the Zone Dives + QB Follows it just becomes like a traffic jam up the middle? Seems like a lot of bodies in a tight space. Understandably they are short yardage plays, however it puts me off them a bit being so clustered. I'm looking to implement an option offense into my own team here in Hong Kong.

      Thanks, I've read the same stuff that you just mentioned elsewhere online as I'm doing my research and building up our offensive playbook and concepts so that's good to see. I haven't been able to find PJ's If/Then sheet, would you be able to give me an idea where I can look or link me it? Again thanks for all your help.
