    This was amazing to watch!! Thank you TPT and the Owner and Staff of the restaurant!!!
    I cooked these tomahawk steaks in such a restaurant for 15 years (we also called them the Fred Flintstone steak!). It was a pleasure to see inside a working kitchen during business hours. Much praise to the Staff and the Owner for allowing the world to see into their daily lives!
    I must say the kitchen was quite clean....many restaurant kitchens are _very_ dirty and it was nice to see this one so well maintained!
    I would LOVE to see more interactive videos like this one!! I know it can be hard to find business owners willing to accommodate your requests like this but it truly is an amazing experience to share!!

      For those who don't know, it's called a tomahawk because it resembles a tomahawk, or small axe.
      The handle is of course the bone, and it's a bone-in ribeye that's generally 2 inches thick, or the thickness of the bone itself.
      I'd sooner avoid all the hype and get a regular bone-in ribeye without the long handle. It's the same steak but with less bone.

    A Canadian delicacy that I believe they would enjoy is a type of pizza called "Garlic Fingers". It's basically cheesy garlic bread cooked like a pizza, and it's paired with a sweet sauce called "Donair Sauce" that makes it absolutely delicious when you use it as a dip.
    It's pretty easy to make
    The garlic fingers are a pizza dough, topped with garlic butter and cheese, after cooking you cut it into thin strips (fingers) suitable for dipping. The donair sauce can be made with several different recipes but here's one of them: 1 can sweetened condensed milk, 1/4 cup vinegar, 1/2-3/4 teaspoon garlic powder, mix and put in fridge.

    • @_FirstLast_
      @_FirstLast_ Місяць тому +29

      if you knew how many times bare hands touched all the food that is prepared at your local restaurant you'd probably have a heart attack. I'm not advocating it, but also it's 99.999% harmless.
      I worked in the industry for 15+ years and took it more serious than most. I was responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly cleanliness routines as well as health department visits. I take cleanliness in the kitchen more important than 90% of cooks out there out of an abundance for caution and adherence to the law. And now, having said all that, the kitchen in this video is VERY clean on random inspection (althought I'm sure they did extra wipe down and shine for the cameras, but you can't wipe down or shine built up grime from years of neglect of which they had next to zero).
      Industry standards (like wearing gloves) are because of the worst cooks out there, not the best. 99% of what we eat has been handled by bare hands at least once. You handle your own food in your own kitchen with bare hands. Be worried about disgusting cooks in disgusting kitchens, don't worry about the passionate cooks who love their jobs and their customers. There's a MASSIVE difference.

    It's great that he's learning that food doesn't need to be buried in a million spices and cooked in a gallon of oil. His ancestors had little choice but to do that, back before they had access to refrigeration, primarily because it would help to cover up the taste of any meats that had started to go off a bit. They cook their meat to the point where it turns out quite tough and dry for the same reason. Thankfully, that's not as necessary these days, now that more people have refrigeration. I remember when he was gifted with a refrigerator by a very generous viewer. He was ecstatic because he was going to be able to share some of the space with his neighbors. He's such a wonderful man. 😊

Cooking rotten meat ain't going to save you from the nasty toxins. I guess our ancestors that survived were the ones that didn't do that, wherever you are from.

      Haha, the funny thing is that, for example, rennet cheese which westerners think so highly of, which isn't part of their tradition, was also born for that same reason of preservation, yet people still eat ubiquitously.
      In every cuisine, preservation and tradition are inextricable.
      So when you say they don't have to bury it in oil and spices, yeah well you don't have to eat cheese. Especially now when the cheesemaking for masses has in fact devolved, become even more nasty and processed. It didn't even improve, it got worse. And clearly, modern methods of preservation mean you can get dairy from the store any time. But why do you still eat cheese? Because it's about taste and palate, and clearly they also enjoy eating their food that way.

    Dear Mr Chaudary, cooking meat until the moisture is gone is overcooking meat. Ideally meat should still be moist and tender when it is ready. I’m sure though it was just the translation and you really meant basically just to cook it as I can tell you love cooking
    Having said that, you mentioned thinking it would take 25-30 minutes to cook it. Please never cook a steak for 30 minutes 😂
    Also you can eat beef pink but never chicken! I know you don’t eat pork so no worries there.

    • @aminy23
      @aminy23 Місяць тому +2

      A good steak would have a high temp and a low temp phase. In the high temp phase you would sear outside super quickly to form a nice crust. In the low temp, you could cook it to the desired doneness. 25-30 minutes is not at all unreasonable if it's a reasonably low temperature. For a Sous Vide steak, you can cook it for hours and still have it medium-rare.

    • @RockinDave1
      @RockinDave1 Місяць тому

      @@aminy23 sure but no one is talking about posh boil in the bag! Interesting point admittedly, but a curveball!
      As to your original point you are quite correct, of course you are, however there probably aren’t many people who would cook it exactly that way. (ie exactly right) And therefore if most people who cooked steak at home cooked it for 25/30 minutes it would be an insult to the cut of meat!

    • @aminy23
      @aminy23 Місяць тому

      @@RockinDave1 It's hardly posh. I bought a $40 sous-vide machine, and now I can buy the cheapest cuts of meat and have it wonderfully tender. I can buy a giant chuck roast for example, portion it into smaller bags, and have many tender portions ready to heat and eat whenever.

    I love the look on Mr. Chauhadry's face when he tastes something delicious for the first time. His eyes close and he shakes his head like it's too good to be true. I'm so bored with food eating the same all the time. I need to try some new dishes so I can be dazzled again.

    This is my second time watching this podcaster. I love his excitement and awe, watching how the Steak is prepared. Like the rest of us, we love having a good meal, whether eating at home, or out. It brings the best out of us. Especially with family and friends. I love this man, would love to cook for him. Best wishes, and blessings ♥️♥️🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

    ❤ I love watching him enjoy this western food. It was the same feeling like someone complimenting my own cooking. I like how complimentary he was unlike other channels where people tear each other apart over different versions of the same dish. I hope one day he can come to Texas and try real BBQ at the actual restaurant.

    Mr. Chaudhary is so *AWESOME* 👍!! He loves learning new things... Watching the Chef/Grill Master, explaining to Mr. Chaudhary how and why he was cooking his Steak 🥩 a certain way. Putting it on a higher shelf to *"rest"* and why...🤔👍 He *TORE THROUGH* that Steak 🥩...🤤😋🙂

    It is changing it's color → It is changing its color
    The reason: in English, "it's" is a contraction of "it is," while "its" is a possessive pronoun.
