I agree that "Så mycket bättre" should be a show in America, and other countries too. This song is so great! Eva Dahlgren has such a beautiful voice!

You NEED to React to Peter Jöback - "Guldet blev till sand" its definitely a Classic! It came out in 1999 and It's from the musical "Kristina från Duvemåla". It's about a man recalling him and his friends failed attempts to search for gold during the "Carlifonia Gold Rush". The track was on the "Svensktoppen" for over two years!! The singer is one of Swedens Greatest he even played the "Phantom" in "Phantom of the Opera" in both Broadway and Sweden!

A lot of us Swedes relates this song to when Eva sang it during the funeral of our former Foreign Secretary Anna Lindh.

My favourite female swedish singer, reminds me of my late mother. She is my "Angel in the room"
I take it as the Ängel is her love and hope, her love for someone, like the feeling of being in love. She says the one over her head whispering what she then says to the person she loves, the one in her body she actually says is love and hope and that it tells Evas s.o./gf/wife how much Eva loves her, the spirit at her feet tells her when to hold the one she loves.
Listen to "Jag klär av mig naken". Eva is singing and Anders Glennmark is on there too.
This is a real comfort song. It's not often I listen to it but when I do, I'm feeling a real nice calmness in my body, like someone whispering to me that everything will turn out okay.

Eva Dahlgren is married to Efva Attling, that was the ex-wife of Niklas Strömstedt.
Efva Attling sjöng ju även i gruppen X models som gjorde hiten ”två av oss” som också en är jävla toppenlåt! 😀

Thank you for taking me down memory lane. I was working in Tanzania 1989 and I had some tapes from Sweden with me. Eva Dalgren and Jacob Hellman. When I got homesick I listened to the tapes and felt better.

Ännu en gång måste jag rekommendera att lyssna på Eva Dahlgren och Uno Svenningsson med Hjärtats ödsliga slag.
Ängeln i rummet kan tolkas på många sätt. En vacker låt och poetiskt text. Tänker på Anna Lindhs begravning när jag hör den. Hoppas du går vidare och gör en reaktion på Lalehs ”En stund på jorden” också. Den är om möjligt lika vacker.

Bra med en dansbandsklassiker till! Det blir den första du gör som är äkta dansband, dvs. med shufflerytm avsedd för foxtrotdans (70-80-tal) och inte sånt där modernt rockigt och ungt från 90-talet och framåt. ;)

I've gotten some Laleh requests. I'm sure she's in my future.
The best song of Laleh, imo, is "Some die young". Especially as she sang it at the memorial of the young victims at Utöya, Norway, when a domestic terrorist shot and killed 69 people 10 years ago. Most of them teenagers, the youngest just turned 14 a couple of days earlier.
I'm so impressed that she could hold it together and deliver that song under the circumstances.

I absolutely love this song and didn't think anyone could do it better than Eva, but Lales version is absolutely amazing too. I wouldn't say better, as it has a very different vibe. Laleh is one of our best contemporary artists and she sings in three different languages! (Swedish, English and Farsi).
I think the angel is the better angel of her nature.
You missed some juicy facts, that Eva was married to Niklas Strömstedt but left him for a woman, who is her wife since then 🙂
