    Great information and video. Can't wait to see the video on how you make the metal handles.

    This is a great deep dive into the handles. I always wondered about what the difference it was between the handles besides thickness that made for a good pick handle. Thanks for this video, cheers

    thank you so much for this video. It's very interesting seeing all the picks you made and extremely informative!
    Btw, Is there something wrong with using a drill vs. a hole punch on the pick metal itself?

    • @LockpickingDev
      @LockpickingDev  Місяць тому

      Nothing wrong with one or the other. Just depends on preference. I find a hole punch really easy for the hard steels

    Awesome video with some great information!! Is there a video of the metal handles that you made?

      My next video will show how I made those interchangeable handles by hand 😁

    Really liking my Moki picks for the tips but prefer the feel of the metal handle on LLT so I guess I need some metal (aluminium?) Moki scales. Sadly I am not good enough to make them but might have a go, making direct from the plastic as a pattern might not be too hard 🤔

      Plastic is definitely doable! My next video will show how to make interchangeable handles.

    Glad you like the aluminum bronze. Any plans to thin down the scales that are too fat for your liking?

      I have plenty of leftover to work with. It's just a matter of taking the time to do them again. But, yes, I hope to finish a whole set in aluminum bronze. You were right, it definitely lasts and looks great!

    I have been wanting to make a reusable handle for a sparrow euro short hook (one of my favorite picks) for the longest time, I was always just going to make it from G-10 or micarta, but watching this changed my mind. Would you be willing to point me in a direction, where I could find the quarter of inch aluminum like the stuff you recommend in the video?

    • @LockpickingDev
      @LockpickingDev  6 місяців тому

      McMaster Carr website for the metal bars. My next video is on making interchangeable handles, maybe it will help make things easier 😁

      @@LockpickingDev Sorry to be a pain, but I wanted to get the materials, I found aluminum bar 1/8 thick x half inch wide, and 2 feet long (would that be the correct size to start with?)
