We honestly need a new level cap. The amount of steady players on hunter now it amazing.
How about no level cap? Why cap it at all? I don’t understand it 🤷🏼♂️
@@25mmapdstthe level cap is still considering rewarding skill/perk points. They may not have felt it necessary to put "useless" levels in the game that have no functional reason to exist.

I'm not the best at reading change logs, so the changes to when animals spook was new to me. If I may add: no backpacks if you are looking for the highest rated animals. Though I do sometimes use a backpack myself if the task is to just move more stuff at once, like setting up tents and treestands for later use, but never when I am solely hunting.

Im so casual about the game. I got full scents and callers points. I usually drive around with the ATV. When its a spot i feel good about ill sit there and watch UA-cam until something shows up.

Hi lady I m level 29 and still learned new things from this video and I still struggle to track animals properly I seem to either never found the animal or just spook it away I would like you to do a tutorial on tracking

Instead of marking the actual zone marker I usually zoom in fully and mark the edge of the water and I've found it's pretty helpful
As a real life hunter with 40 years experience I'm going to say this. I haven't been playing this game but a little over a year and I've watched basically all of your videos. You have learned an exponential amount about hunting from this game. But the problem I see here is they have actually put a cap to what you can learn or show about what you've learned. Like for instance almost any antlered species will come to the rattling caller in real life. Not horned animals. But antlered animals. Whitetail, Elk and moose. And why don't bears attack. Especially when wounded. I guess I'm just a picky old fart. Lol! Either way. You're the bomb!❤🎉
bears do attack. i was about 12ft from a bear. somehow i got that close from behind. I shot point blank in the head. He shook it off and attacked and killed me lol..
@@mikieson Anytime you get that close even a whitetail deer will do the same. Been there. Done that.
Another thing to note about the Hyperion is that it sways less than the Argus. Even with and without any points in the Rifle Perk that reduces weapon sway, it's pretty noticeable if you're looking for it. Because of that, I removed a point from Tier 3 of the Breath Perk because the Hyperion slows enough to still shoot well when holding your breath without the extra Sway Decrease and I put that point into another Bow Perk.

The Ascent Is The Scope I Use The Most And Is Overlooked
I Will Still Use The Argus For Those Super Long Shots
But The Smaller Scope Is Very Useful In Thick Brush And On Slopes Especially When Your Running Around A Lot Spotting Animals Quickly

How does accuracy of the rifle come into play with shot placement. I ask because I have nailed the shot placement with say the 300 only to find the animal does not go down. So I was thinking the 300 has 80 for accuracy, so does that mean that 20 percent could mean you don't make the perfect shot. If accuracy does affect the effectiveness of the rifle would it then not be better to go for higher accuracy rifles like for instance the 6.5 over the Zarza 308 which has 70 for accuracy over the Zarza 308 which is 45. Im sure accuracy must play a part otherwise what would be the point of having it listed

I started using the Hyperion when I started my fallow grind
I wish they would open all the perks to players that complete the map ie. when you find a location or build a hunting structure you gain XP which eventually gives you perk or skill points which stop at level 60. I'm ok with stopping at level 60 however. let us have the perks and skill points EW! Thank you for all you do for the game and us Lady

Definitely want Pack Mule AND Disturbed Vegetation. When I have enough tents on all my maps I'm going to drop Pack Mule. At least so I can have a play and test out Disturbed Vegetation.

I dont like when games make you worry about picking the "right" skills in a skill tree. I wouldnt mind grinding even more levels. we should earn most of the skills its not like a hunter can truly stop learning or improving

A new Level cap, maybe 70?
I don't care about an animals weight because I don't care about only getting the biggest trophies and just hunt everything, so I left out the third tier of the Track Knowledge Skill. I also don't use the Huntermate for tracks because I have them on the ground and can track them just fine so I didn't waste a point on Connect the Dots either. I put those two into the Skill that makes it so animals see me less when it's raining or foggy, which helps when crawling around with a bow. I also don't have points in the Vocalization Indicator Size Skill because when they call using the binoculars shrinks it down for pinpointing without the Skill. That saved me points that I could put into Whose Deer because from my research it helps me carry less callers to have room for more items (for instance, Elk are attracted to the Deer Grunt and Mule Deer come to the Axis caller) so I don't need the Elk or Mule caller on the maps with both of the animals on it. Also Red Deer seem to come to the Antler Rattler but I'm still doing some testing with it to confirm. Saving even .5 weight could be the difference between carrying the Razorback Lite or Hawk Edge bow...
Hey Lady, your vids have overall been super helpful for me (thank you!) but I have had some mixed results with hunting only on water. The vast majority of the diamonds and rares I have in my lodge have been found while walking to lakes in search of the species I’m actually trying to get a diamond for. It took me days to get my diamond red deer, but along the way I found diamonds on the outskirts of water in resting/feeding zones, hardly ever at the actual lake. Do you think this is RNG? Am I doing it wrong? Thanks again for your vids and guides!
It's much easier for new players to find things around water. Once they figure that out, they can venture out and hunt feed and rest zones. You're not doing anything wrong. Just hunting a different way. A new player will have more luck hunting a species during drink time than going out and finding their feed zones.

I'm a new player on PC with Xbox controller. I feel like I've wasted so much money on items that I now read are either not very useful (like Argus scope) or detrimental like the backpacks. In terms of the backpacks I bought the medium one, then after a while I bought the small one thinking I can wear it along with the medium. Realizing I couldn't combine them I saved up and bought the large one. After all this, I read that it increases your sound/visibility so much that you should never use a backpack. I'm so frustrated. Can you do a video specifically on backpacks and their effects on gameplay?
Always informative, thanks! Is there any issue with the noisy dog being with you in the game spooking animals? Australia is pretty boring with all the rodents, but crocks are fun at night and red deer are great.

When I play on PC I use the Argus almost exclusively. After a while you get used to it, and it can be used just as easily as the Hyperion. I vote Argus for the win any day. However, on console I do have to use the Hyperion. They've ruined hunting with controllers for me with an update about a year back.

yes. and once ur outer zones are all shot down, u can shoot everything in ur shooting zones. no need to stack anymore.

Kind of new to the game…How do you find how many kills you have on a certain type of animal?
The game only keeps track of total harvests. For individual species, you have to count yourself. I used to use a tally counter from Amazon. Works great. Now i use my stream deck to count
They should just change the level cap and keep the 1 point in skill or perk at every 2 levels instead of having the weird gap for later levels.

I was very surprised to find there was a skill level cap. So not cool. Totally wish we had greater opportunity to advance in skills...like anything, practice makes perfect. If you play more, you should have greater opportunity for advancement. Even if you received a point per each 5 levels. It's only logical and more realistic.
you forgot the moving reload in pistols , im sure you would absolutely hate to have to stand still to reload all the time
Can't mention every good skill and perk. Just went for the most important. You basically have to get that to go to the 2nd tree anyways

It would be great if EW at least made the respecs cheaper for skills and perks. Almost seems unfair to make it so expensive, considering they never allude anywhere in the game that you will not be able to obtain them all. The only reason I know that is thanks to videos like this one. I love this game, but it could really use some better tutorials.

It irks me when a game basically REQUIRES you to resort to UA-cam to understand its finer points, but I must admit that this situation helps foster interaction between devs and players, and it's great for UA-camrs like you. I have noticed a detail in the game that I'm sure not many people has seen... At night, when you can see the full moon, looking trough the binoculars, the moon actually seems to rotate (It's not still).
From Google : "The moon orbits the Earth once every 27.322 days. It also takes approximately 27 days for the moon to rotate once on its axis. As a result, the moon does not seem to be spinning but appears to observers from Earth to be keeping almost perfectly still. Scientists call this synchronous rotation."
