as a person who works at a Hyundai dealership i can say with 110% truth....DO NOT BUY HYUNDAI VEHICLES PPL! There engines are GARBAGE! And they do not support older vehicles after 2015 or older....we have had many new vehicles OFF THE TRUCK with no kms on them HAVE BAD ENGINES...and we have a backlog of cars that NEED engines....DO NOT BUY HYUNDAI PPL! FRIENDS DONT LET FRIENDS BUY HYUNDAI!!!!
Pretty sure in the US this would qualify as a lemon under the lemon law and the dealership would have to buy the car back from you. Also as far as I'm aware if an issue is recorded while under warranty and the dealership tries to fuck around until after the warranty expires they are still responsible for the repairs of said issue. Again this is just my experience in USA and obviously mileage may vary even here.

This person didn't take it to another dealer at the time only because the head office advised that the chances of a different outcome out of warranty is low. i've personally been a victim of this 'f around game' and going to another dealer didnt really solve the problem which i relayed to the person in this story. Maybe i'm wrong and this could have gone in a better direction.
EVERYONE should be doing the permanent marker trick. consumers lose millions each year from dodgy mechanics that don't change parts customers pay for !
Bought 5 brand new cars in last 2.5 years, only didn’t like the first and learned from it and have had only good ones since. These were Toyota, Toyota, Lexus, Toyota, and Ford, not garbage Hyundai/kia
I keep basic classic cars no airbags just seat belts, no driving aids, no electroncs, just a carburettor ,points, distributor, manual cable handbrake, I also have a basic diesel Land Rover.
I'm on the fence because they have come a long way but my I30SR is having issues with less than 100,000km on the clock however i used to own a toyota camry with almost 300,000km on the clock which was bullet proof.

USA consumer laws are far better it seems. Car dealers rip people off on a regular here.

I used to do it everytime ! But now i service my own vehicle because i have trust issues.

Never get a DCT auto gearbox, get an automatic with a torque converter.
My car is also DCT. Its very sluggish. Not the best.
