    I like how direct you are with teaching. Your videos definitely contributed to a higher score on my second calc test. I appreciate how you give us a clear cut method solving these problems and taking the time to explain the algebra. I dont learn well from my current professors teaching style. I was in the "just pass the class" mindset after the first test and now I feel back on track after finding your channel.
    So far you have the most consistent and complete calc course ive come across. Id really be struggling if your videos werent here.
    Thank you so much!

    I've been struggling to understand some of the concepts in calculus but this video really helped me out. I'll definitely watch some of your other videos to repair my foundation. Thank you so much and keep doing what you're doing!

    Thank you. I don't know how to describe it but I just followed along to 3 of your unit 4 videos and now unit 4 makes so much sense. Your pacing, voice, emphasis, repetition -- goodness. I am passing my calc test this Wednesday! C:

    The algebraic manipulation on the second derivative saved me a ton of time and improved my algebra skills. Thank you

      Yay I’m so glad! 🥰 That’s honestly the hardest part for so many students-not understanding the calculus, but getting through the algebra involved.

      I know and it’s a five unit class with plenty of material, you give really good lectures with clean and legible writing. We all appreciate that. ❤️

    Wouldn't the inflection point of f(-1) be -1/2 instead of 1/4 for the first problem?

    • @mathwithprofessorv
      @mathwithprofessorv  2 роки тому

      When you square -1 it becomes 1.

      @@mathwithprofessorv so you just have to assume that there are parentheses around x and not the exponent? Because -1 squared is definitely -1 without parentheses

      Yes, you always add parentheses around a negative number when substituting it in for a variable-do that by default. For more examples start watching around 10:50 on this video:
