    HistoryRepeated. The Binnenhof is situated in Den Haag, (older names: Die Hage, 's-Gravenhage) not in The Hague, which city does not exists. This name was made up, without consulting the people, the original Dutch name preserves the identity of the people. The Hague is not history.

      We do understand it's a bit annoying that it's translated. But on the official website of the township Den Haag, the city counsil uses 'the Hague'. We agree with you, but when the city itself uses the name The Hague, we have to use the international translation. It probably has something to do with the UN Count that's there?

      @@HisRep It's merely a fantasy "translation" and it's utterly meaningless. Try translating Sarajewo. The governors of the city Den Haag never consulted the residents of the city when they changed the name. It was not a democratic process. The original name of the city is connected with its true identity.
