    Please keep comments civil. Comments with links will be removed. I didn't mention the speakers I used for testing: Wharfedale Lintons, KEF Q350, and Klipsch R-51m

    Had this for almost a year with 32V power supply. The amp is perfect for Bedroom setup.

    Not only did you help me decide what amp I'm getting next, but you have some incredible audio testing songs. To me, some of the best songs to listen to are also the songs that push amps and speakers to their outer limits.

      Black Metal and Dubstep? 😁
      No seriously though, older recordings of classic rock is almost always a good choice, as is classical and jazz, anything before the loudness wars when everything got normalized to max dB :/

    Looks like you got some good tubes in that unit. TUBE tip: If your amp came with Chinese 6K4 tubes (has a red star printed on the glass), mine caused distortion. I upgraded to much better sound for $17 with GE JAN 5654W matched pair tubes. 6K4 tubes can be replaced by 6J1, 6J2, 6J3, 6J4, 6J5, 6"1N, 64N, 65N, 5654/5654W, 5725, 6AK5, EF95, 6BA6, 403B, etc. Your tubes may be ok. Just an FYI free tip.

    Fantastic amplifier, I paired it with Triangle Borea BRO3 speakers and an Elac10 subwoofer. I can say now that I have audiophile sound for less than $800 in my 10 X 18 ft listening room.
    For better sound, it worth replacing the tubes with GE W5654.

      I'm glad to have read this post. I am struggling on weather or not to go with this amp for my Klpisch RP600M paired with a Klispch R120SW. I ordred a yamaha A-s301 but that thing is pretty big and I won't use anything on that amp but phono stage. So, I was curious if this T9 Pro would do a good job sound wise in a room that is 11 W, 15 L and 7 H. It would be used solely for vinyl playback.

      Great combo with RP600M. It would be better to add a sub. This little thing is just fantastic. It's like having the best of both worlds, plenty of detailed highs, punchy bass and balanced mids.

      @@stephanelemire5289 I have a klispch sub , the sr120. I just don't know how I would run it with this amp? Does this require a pre-amp as well?

      You just have to plug your sub into the Aux output. I had RP600s for a while and a sub connected to the T9 pro and it's the best match I've had with the Klipschs. Better than with Marantz, Yamaha or even Arcam. I have a WIIM pro streamer to listen to Tidal, I don't feel the need to add an external DAC.
      There is no MM output to connect a vinyl turntable however.

    I enjoyed your enthusiastic review of this component, Bruce. I shall continue to seek an integrated amplifier with a true tape monitor for my JVC DD-7 because while I love my Yamaha Aventage 760 and JAMO S803 speakers, I find the lack of a tape loop to be almost unforgivable. Keep up the good work and keep enjoying your music.

    I have the Douk Audio Version and I love. I use it with the optical cable input, so I have to rely on the internal DAC (also I don't have any other DAC to try and test if there is any important difference). Also, mine gets fairly hot, so I don't know if the tubes are going to last many years or not (I had it for 4 months and it's fine so far).

    • @peterbaugh51
      @peterbaugh51 3 місяці тому +2

      If you have the 6K for Chinese tubes, they could sound harsh or mildly distorted. Mine did. Got new tubes, GE JAN 5654W, only $17. Big improvement in sound. All distortion gone, better bass, high's, mids, everything.

    • @francohic

    • @peterbaugh51
      @peterbaugh51 3 місяці тому +2

      @@francohic No, the tubes in my unit run fairly cool. Barely warm, not burning to the touch. But I'm running a Douk Audio ST-01 Pro, rated at 200 Watts Max. So far it has never gotten hot.

    If you plan to use a subwoofer with these little amps, check to see if the line output is variable. It is variable on the Douk ST-01 Pro, but with my speakers I do not need a sub. These little amps can drive your speakers down to 30 HZ no problem, if your speakers can do that. The TI class D chips are a great HiFi bargain.

    I have a T9 Pro and I really like the DAC and inputs however I really don't use the Amplifier because I prefer the A08 Pro that I also have .
    The form factor is really great and it's a cool little device .
    Change the amplifier to a TPA3255 and I'll definitely buy another one .
    I gotta admit I've purchased a lot of these little Amps from Fosi , Douk etc and Aiyima just seems to be better built and once you do a bit of research the company is run by enthusiasts that really stand by their products.
    I know they make speakers and I really would like to try them out since they are not available here in the US

    Would that suit a KEF ls50 meta as the only unit in the chain? looking for something to drive them nicely but not break the bank, prefer a amp&dac combined unit.
    Also, which cables do I get from aliexpress to pair the two?
    Appreciate it!

    But I don’t know anything about them. Is this one a good choice? Don’t want to spend too much but I also don’t want a bad cheap one

    Total noob questions incoming, go easy on me ; )
    I have some first gen Sonos speakers that I picked up.
    Sound is great but the software limitations are annoying so I tend to use Bluetooth adapter. Just upgrading that & came across this baby.
    I also have a pair or KRK Rokits & a mac mini that I may incorporate at some point.
    I realize that this amp is generally to be used with passive speakers.
    My question is would it add any value / sound / future options to my set up over say, a $10-20 Bluetooth adapter.
    Thanks for any insight, have a lovely day out there.
