It looks so green there! Awesome fish. I have family up in North Bend and I want to go up there and try fishing sometime
Wow! Incredible. What T-weight sink tip did you use here on the Spey? And, curious what types of flies were you using? Great vid!
Looks like the cedar
Mmmm, ....Wooley Bugger swing = Massive smash and run. Nice vid brother. I'm wondering if that 15 inch fish was a Steelhead. No way to tell unless there's a barrier below your spot. Have fun and let 'em go.
Oooooh...I know this exact stretch...one of my favorites. Always good for one or two nice slabs in about 1/4 mile there even in mid-late summer.
‘“white fish” what species is that ? Curious

Upper green near burns creek?
Where at?? I just started fly fishing out in Yakima last weekend. I'm looking for spots closer to home. Preferably little creeks and streams or rivers with spots i can fly from the bank... its June 18, 2021 FYI. Need some summer spots and fly/nymph suggestions
Hey Shoey, I would check out the green river, and if you want to try salt water I'd head out to gig harbor near purdy to catch the tidal shift.
Wow! You're writing from the FUTURE!
@@MegaDcmp hhahah ya 2021 is way better than 2020!
Keep these spots secret don’t want to ruin them
Maybe you should give the Cedar river a try. I’ve caught big trout and Cutthroat in the Cedar.
Hello is this possibly Swamp creek if it is I understand why you wont share it, there is a lot of trash there sometimes
Nope 🤣
@@TroutHunterWa dang it! kelsy creek?
try using a Chubby Chernobyl with a zug bug trailer off the Chubby Chernobyl you will be very busy
Yeh I use those alot but spey casting is so addictive and brings out the big boys so I tend to mainly swing flies when it's possible
Nice sun gloves. Don't want your hands getting sun burned....in Seattle.......while its raining.
Yup summer in PNW. That's what it looks like.
Bro what the fuck are sun gloves 😂
What kind of streamer?

Where exactly ?
Love it! Keep the spot quit haha
is this the upper green river
It is not
@@TroutHunterWa what other rivers are "near Seattle" then
@@gonefishing321 smaller ones like the Kelsey creek Sammamish river or pilchuck to name a few.
Pretty sure I used to fish that stream when I lived over there.
Looks like the Cedar River...
I was thinking the same thing
Well, another fly fishing video from the Wet Coast!
I recognize that creek! Its right behind Capitol Hill called Chop Creek! It has lots of Methead Trout there!
@@rubin_zalevskiy that was a joke dude.
Amazing video/amazing fishing! I’m having a hard time being able to tell what time of year you were fishing here? (obviously not mid winter, or mid summer) I’ve never seen so many beautiful trout come out of the green!
not the green river FYI but this was in July of 2019. After work on a weekday during a storm
@@TroutHunterWa
Thanks, amazing fishing!
Not to blow you up, but have you ever caught so many quality fish in one outing? I mean that was amazing…..Usually you get one or two out of the hole, and that’s a good day of fishing
@@pmoney3688 your right on with that one. Only one or two quality fish per day it seems except for on the Yakima. Tho salmon fishing gives me big fish every hookup which is why it's my favorite season especially odd years with pinks like this year. I out fished 5 gear guys last night on the skykomish with my spey rod and a clouser 🤣 I'd recommend checking out Reds fly shops channel for tips and tricks. I credit Joe from reds with most of my knowledge.
@@TroutHunterWa Looks like maybe the C? If it is, I hope the pike minnow get taken out of there. Beautiful fish!
Great video friend
how do you find places like this in general? always lived in the suburbs
Waders and fishing gear. Just takes time and effort

Nice fish, but that was not a swing. It was a drift.
Hey man I live in federal way. I’m a student and have been a trout fishermen for about 8 years but only in lakes. My quarter for college just got out for me and I just managed to buy myself some decent fly gear (pretty much everything) I have never been out but I am really wanting to learn and expand my horizons in fishing. I have absolutely no idea where to go around this area...was wondering by chance if you would be willing to help me out and show me the ropes? I have family that fishes but I don’t know anyone that knows how to or where in this area to fly fish.
If you would be willing to help me out and help me learn this new way please respond to this post. I’ll pin it so i should get a notification...and I just subscribed to your channel! Looking forward to some new videos!
I just started. I think I'm trying cedar creek, and skykomish this weekend
Shoey Luke hey man I’ll go with you to the cedar if you want. I need to learn so I’m sure it’d be easier to have someone around
Theirs a great flat place down in university place that’s great to practice your casting on the fly rod. That’s where I spend my weekend trying to perfect my cast. Haven’t caught anything bigger than 8” but you are able to see trout and whitefish.
@@remigiodelamora im not super familiar with the area. Im from west seattle. So im trying to learn all the backroads of these other towns. Is University Place on the Cedar the main area near the overpass? It was perfect practicing water there... just people swimming and noise pollution etc. Ive only been.there that once
@@michaelonish2071 Yo! Thats actually dope... not only do none of my friends have any confidence in their fly fishing capabilities, having a couple people is rly the only safe way on a river.
I fell in the next day after I wrote this.. was standing on some like sloped and eroded slippery fuckin rock.slab and right after seeing the only other angler fall, I did. Wader free (just got some) and was hot so shins were fine but a full dunk.with my fly pack on and everything including my sidearm inside...SMH.
Hit me up sometime man. Im gettin a saltwater license today so I can go fish cutthroat off the fly rod out off alki/lincoln park area where they linger.
Im new. Farm trout fishing off the bottom of a lake is like auto pilot fishing so im enjoying the learning.
Text 206 579 3122. I go alot and could use a pal lol. Im 34, smoke the best weed, and am addicted the fly now. If ur down, hmu. I go fishin several days a week easy and would be fun.
Be cool!
What river is that
Lived in WW at one time. Used to go up past Index. Memories.....
Might be moving out to WA. When you spey fish are you drifting a fish type presentation - eg sculpin/wooly bugger/small fry fish imitation etc
Yes this was with a sculpzilla on the swing
@@TroutHunterWa thanks. You like WA ? worried about all the rain/overcast. But was mainly looking at forks area.
@@fakdaddy75 actually in forks this week. But if you want to catch fish, I would highly recommend coming out in August or September for the Pink Salmon run
@@TroutHunterWa wife flies out end of month to scope things out. thanks
just right for the Smoker Beer Trout yummmmmmmm
When will people learn you don't ask "where" in a fly fishing video?
Any video
Where exactly near, Seattle is this? 🙂
East and North
@@oak8728 that narrows it down... 🤨
@@dropkicknazis5301 I have floated past the spot many a time, sorry its the closest detail I could give you w/o blowing it out. Many good spots within an hour drive of Sea, mannnny.
Nice loomis rod. I love the IMXPro series
This looks upstream from you June 2020 vid…..good guess
That river is definitely a fly fishing only river
Not true but good guess
Josh Brown green
False. Fly fishing rules or "selective gear regulations" simply means you have to fish with single barbless hooks.
The big one you caught was a small steelhead
Actually just arrived in the Olympic Peninsula to find some bigger steelhead. If that's a steelhead then I've caught a bunch of steelhead in that Creek. It produces every time I am on it.
What is the name
I named the trout Bill
Of the creek
Sorry I will not disclose that
is that a hand built Rainshadow rod
Nah gloomis imx pro 6 wt
Rainshadow are the some of the worst blanks on the market. There's too many "custom" rod bulider have overhyped them. They like them because they're cheap and they make more profit.
@@duckwacker8720 FUCK U
where is location ?
Miller creek
VERY COOL!!!!!
What's so hard about taking gloves off before handling fish? As if they don't have enough harmful elements to combat.
Damn it's huge trout I ever catch one in my life .... bro address me where is that lake... please
It's a river 🤣
Where is this at?
it's a steelhead not a trout.
A steelhead IS a rainbow trout. Our rivers here have both resident and anadromous bows, so no way to tell which it is. Big residents in this river!
Where???
River near seattle. its small so only a few to choose from. I trust you can figure this out.
@@TroutHunterWa hey i dont live in seattle buy i may go there soon can i please know where this is? you can delete after i respond thanks..

You’ll have to find the river yourself,
Where is this
Pretty standard to not share locations of fishing spots on YT. Sorry not going to disclose
Josh Brown can you share the name of the river/ creek
@@soccerking823 no
Than there is huge dislike to your video...
Good luck
It’s Rattlesnake Creek
bummer u do not build your own rods
That’s tha things I hate know some people are selfish for not tell the rest of fishinguys where the fish are is fish for everybody don’t be like that 😡😡
All you have to do to find these kind of spots is explore its really not selfish to want to keep small rivers like this from to much fishing pressure as they are fairly fragile
Ppl that share spots often come back to them and are stunned at what other ppl have done to them, I'm talking about littering such as cigarettes, beer cans and more, also overfishing because some will take for food
Disagree. Be like that.
Coming from a life long hunter, fisherman, surfer, snowboarder..... Keep these spots to yourself, people will always find them and then piss you off. Drives me nuts to scroll the comments and see "where?", lazy basterds. Exploring and discovery is the best part of fly fishing, outside, not on UA-cam. He's not being selfish, he's saving some fish for us to find on our own.
Videos that don’t tell you where you’re fishing are pointless
Says the guy with no videos 🤣
It amazes me that you and most other fishermen seem to think that you should be the only person to fish where you are. God created the earth and water for everyone. So why is it that you refuse to even name the body of water, let alone the actual location?
May God have mercy on your soul and teach you how to be a good person.
Lol!
Too much trash & poaching everywhere to share the locations of small water.
Maybe if everyone were a conscientious user of the resource...but they're not.
I dont know of any creeks that big around the airport and the airliner is too high for it to come from there, so I'm guessing that is the cedar. I've totally forgotten that I've been wanting to go there, I dont have a fly rod through
Cedar. Used to be a great Steelhead fishery
@@darineversaul6735 where on the cedar do you enter from the north? there's the trail by Landsburg, there are some places on Jones Rd. If I had to guess where this was, I'd put money on Maplewood Roadside Park
It can't be the cedar because of the whitefish, which correct me if I'm wrong is not a species of fish in the cedar. I'm guessing it's a tributary of the Snoqualmie. Probably the south fork or middle fork
@@jotarokujo7939 lots of Whities in the Cedar
