The Good Lord who blessed Solomon with His wisdom...bless you too Sir.. in the same way to understand the depths in God's word... Many many thanks for spreading this message.
If you take the names Adam to Noah in Genesis the meanings of their names for a statement..."Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest." Adam Man Seth Appointed Enosh Mortal Kenan Sorrow; Mahalalel The Blessed God Jared Shall come down Enoch Teaching Methuselah His death shall bring Lamech The Despairing Noah Rest, or comfort.
Very interesting, as always. I couldn't help but search the web for the name of one of my favorite characters: the mysterious Melchizedek and his order of priest-kings unrelated to Abraham. It means "My king is Sedeq", that is, righteous, virtuous. It fits wonderfully with Psalm 110. Greetings.
Indeed! I do need to make a video sometime about that story in Gen 14. Some very fascinating stuff going on there. I just need to find a way to frame it so people will actually want to watch it. 🙂 In case you're interested, here are some insights I shared a few years ago: fascinatedbytheword.wordpress.com/2013/05/08/repetition-and-its-significance-in-genesis-14/
@@MasterpieceBible Thanks for the link. I've been browsing the site a bit and there's a lot of interesting stuff there, and a lot of work. I also like that you tend to focus on the narrative aspects, not so much on the doctrinal ones. That approach can appeal to a lot of young people who may not want to hear sermons but can appreciate good storytelling, and that of the Bible is the most complex and rich story ever told, next to it everything written by Tolkien seems like a joke.
@@dracon5244 Yeah, very much agree. We've been focusing solely on doctrine for way too long. Story is the way to our hearts, every movie maker knows that. I've been working with a lot of young people over the last few years and many of them have been very appreciative of this approach. Just trying to read and study the Bible the way it presents itself to us. For me it's a matter of respect for this amazing text.
