Man I got my boat took away from me buy my parents because we did this in the canals and mangroves. It was a blast and well worth the suspension. Watching you guys takes me back in time building and flying garage hydroplanes....50 years ago.
You blokes owned that river. Bloody great job by both of you. I near shit me dak's a couple of time's and I even cheered when you crossed the line. Nuthin' gets you goin' like speed on the water.
I used to race with friends with rubberboats, it's the best feeling ever. I started getting into boats when i was 3 and stopped when i was 15. I'm 24 now and i really wanna get back on the water again. Used to race on a huge lake close to a camping we went to every year.

What is the setup for this kind of race..like how much hp is the outboard..this is like rally but without the co pilot reading the maps..the trust and coordination between this 2 guy is amazing
I believe its around 20-30 HP 2 stroke outboards with lots of modifications to make them faster, and yep similar to rally as the navigator / swinger at the front also has an important job to do
@@bacoon6499 thank you..20-30hp 2 stroke with mod is fast with that small dinghy..i thought max hp is like 15 because i have a 10ft fiberglass boat with 15hp 2stroke mercury and full throttle will easily flip my boat
If it eats or burns fuel we will always end up figuring out how to make ours faster than the next guy's...often at unreasonable expense. Its in the DNA fellas
In absolutely no way do I want to criticize, if I were the person in the front of the 'tinney' I believe that during those long flat stretches between the creeks I would be curled up in a fetal position in the bottom of the boat praying to several Gods that I lived, but also would be decreasing wind resistance. I'm in Texas and I don't know what a dak is. Let's go.
@@PORTER210 Dang, I know there's limited view on the UA-cam screen but it seems tough to know exactly where you're going without a well-known course and knowing which shortcuts to take and which to avoid.
@@richerwin6397 yeah mate, lots of trial and error, sometimes swimming through certain sections to know how far we can cut corners without hitting logs and things. the logs above water are honestly a breeze but the ones we can't see are the problem. just trying too remember exactly where they are for both driver and navigator is the biggest challenge, especially since they are littered across 100km. and without doubt every race the water level changes and you see or find more too remember.

Consider it sent.
Sick raceing ballsey.

I want to hear👂 the motor‼ No music next time please‼
Whatever vehicles are being
raced are an adequate soundtrack for any video.
I've been having to stop and skip around looking for videos sans music
@@maxpinson5002 Waste of time. The sound of the engines are much muuch better❗
Yes
Exactly what I said
Women's music on a racing video. Weird
I want to do that. It looks fun as hell
From someone who used to race 3 cyl 90 yams, idk how that boat didn’t sink from the size of both your nuts! Never seen the race quite from the POV
Those small boats crank .
BRAVIII 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wow, this sport needs to come to the US. Two or four stroke outboard?
2 stroke, and modified heavily
@@PORTER210 what kind of hull is it ?? And it looks like a Yamaha motor
Why the pop music?
What? Would you rather a TripleM playlist? Barnes or Chilly Peppers crap? 🤣🤣🤣

Wait, you guys only have 30s on these and they go THIS fast?
What size motors are they generally using? 50? 70?
Привет из РФ у нас такова вообще нет,хотя рек очень много.Очень нравится.Сам водомоторник.
How fast is this thing going?
Speedo is up the front. Around 100kmh max speed I think
Medidas de la embarcacion ?
what speedo are you using in the front there?

It's like the old saying: "there are no atheists in foxholes" - but in tinny racing you have to _BE_ the gods.
These guys are as game as Ned Kelly, fair dinkum.
Do people routinely get hurt in these races?
There’s generally a lot of crashes and flips during the Championship series and people often get injured, practice is the key too keeping it upright

My river is 10 km wide and has rapids the size of a house ,
Great footage. These guys are great, not to mention brave. Music sucks

Awesome... And don't worry about the twats that didn't like the music, they probably listen to Shannon Noll. 🤣🤣
How about all the sounds of the race and nothing else?
Why are there so many dead trees in that river?
During prolonged droughts the trees come to the river to drink, but sometimes they're too far gone and they die anyway.
