At the age 10 years, I don't really care about music, just play silly things as suburban kid normally do. When I see this video in '92, this live performance introduce me to Jazz & Music world. Lee Ritenour & Chick Corea instantly become my first 2 Jazz idols. RIP Granpa Corea, thanks for your brilliant.

The tune Overture starting at 23:15 is such a masterpiece. It is like Chick is introducing the band members in a very sophisticated way without a single word. Beautiful.
I Used to Have this Recording on VHS Tape and Vinyl. Album got messed in a Basement flood still got the VHS Tape. Pure Magic. I used to Own a Black Yamaha Recording Drum Set just Like Vinnie Coliuta on this Recording.

How can a human being play compositions like Chick Corea´s Overture? I´ve cracked this nut some 20 years and still unsolved. My late hats off for Chick Eric John Dave and Frank, no better fusion than you guys did make.
It really is remarkable compositional and performance ability.
Those are my favorites in this. Chick was the master, no one could equal his composition skills.

Seriously!! I bought the video on vhs just for that song alone. These guys need to receive a medal or something for that song. It is the most funkiest fusion song I've ever heard. Very well done indeed.

Vinnie is playing on a level higher than anyone on this band....G.O.A.T.
I'm inclined to agree. That said, Weckl sounds amazing on this, too - his best period in my opinion. Not as free as Vinnie, but still superb.

I got the laser disc and because of this and few other laser d music I broke 2 and had to buy 3 laser disc player , the. I copy it on dvd , still get the kick out of it . We lost few of the giants from this very performance. May they all Rest In Peace , good by chick thank you

I just discovered the elektric band and I’m blown away. It almost feels like it’s its own genre, like a mix of more traditional fusion + 80s videogame / vaporwave aesthetic + latin vibes (different from Herbie Hancock, Return to Forever, etc.) Are there other bands that sound a bit like this that you’d recommend? I can’t get enough of it.
