Our adventure has started in Thailand. We are uploading on location as we travel but internet connections and video uploads have been a challenge. This is the first episode of several as we don’t know what we will encounter yet so just taking it one day(episode) at a time. We definitely got the ball rolling...

Dan i love these videos. Thank for putting true education back into the hobby.
Handling the king must have been a huge honour. Thailand is a beautiful country. I had the opportunity to go a few years back to train in Muay thai. Next time will be all about the wildlife.

Amazing episode! Wow my heart was racing from the adrenaline rush when they put the King Cobra on your shoulders! Such extremely graceful, intelligent and beautiful creatures- but also so deadly!
😠😠
I went to this village and actually had the pleasure of handling a king cobra free handed.
very nice and clean video Thailand is great and the beautiful country
Your passion is incredible. You take it to the next level. Keep it up. New subscriber.

Man, to free hand a king cobra like that is a moment of a lifetime. It looked so chill
Jox in a Box fake
@@rishirishiroopnarine5067 No it is very real. I was allowed to hold one while there and five years later the handler that allowed me to hold the snake was bitten and died.
amazing !!!
DM
incredible video
Ótimo vídeo.
You are Brave and professional..
Brilliant channel!!
great video, like you said there is just somthing about king cobras for one of your next show can you do your eastern indigo snake
Yes, it is on my list. I will do a Drymarchon video for sure. I am not an authority on breeding them yet but have raised the ones that I have now and am happy to show them.
do you work with any other Drymarchon other than eastern indigos
Tyson Schenkeveld Yes, I also have a pair of YT cribos
Awesome content .. how was ur blood pressure when you put the cobra around ur neck ?
I think I was more concerned about setting a bad example of responsible reptile handling but then it also showed the spontaneity of things as it relates to travel and culture so I just left it in. I was fine but if you ask about my wife's blood pressure....that was another story because she was freaked out but also kept the camera rolling and steady :)
big show brother
Good job 👏👍
+Marie Louise B....I noticed something there on the nose right away....it had just started shedding and it peeled over the nose. It was bothering me as my instinct would be to soak and manually shed it but obviously it wasn't the time nor place...plus I would have liked to see it in fresh skin but it didn't happen. It is a much more common practice to rake the teeth out of a cobra's mouth with a stick, while tying animals mouths shut is reserved for crocodilians.

Really loving Reptile Reality Dan, hope we will get to see some Gonyosomas in upcoming episodes!
Glad you are enjoying our material. I no longer work with Gonyosoma in my collection but maybe, if we get lucky, we will have an encounter with one in the wild before this trip is finished.

Good video
King Cobras (although not a true cobra) are considered to be the most intelligent snake in the world. And from everything I’ve seen in person and on video, that is true.
My heart was racing when he threw that king cobra around you, you've got Nerves (balls) of steel!!
I LOVE IT/Like IT!!!
Very impressed with how the old man handled the cobra. idk they could be pets. lol
Very nice
Pretty cool video
This channel freakin rocks. The shorts are awesome, too. Although I'm not crazy about the attention span crippling format, I find myself watching them anyway. I don't feel guilty watching the shorts on this channel though lol
In the beginning when I really had high hopes for this channel, I was following all of the "tips" given by the other big UA-camrs(attention span was one of them) . Now I realize that this channel is probably never going to grow beyond where it is now so I just post content. All those "tips" are no longer applicable to my channel 😂
Dan, great video. I really look forward to these videos each week. You definitely have nerves of steel to free hand the king cobra. Do you guys carry any types of anti-venom?
I will admit this was probably one of the less intelligent things I have done. We weren't filming but I just happened to have my body camera on and it caught how spontaneous that happened. There is no crew or team and we try to handle everything with care and caution if need be. We are just amateurs with me playing host, my wife filming and me editing. Glad you like it.
DMexotics This video gives off good karma. I had never heard about this village with people living harmoniously with snakes that we are taught to fear. Keep going; we only live once and you're doing it right.
That King Cobra in the thumbnail is like "Am I really in live TV right now?!"
😂😆🤣
Nice video , 👍
It's really hard to see but between 3-3:11 it kinda looks like clear tape or some kind of binding keeping the cobra's mouth closed, just wondering?
Yeah it’s mouth is bound up really tightly with tape ☹️
Thanks for that Dan and Apple. That was a real treat!
ai tem coragem
They are called king for a reason. Their personality is unmatched.
How often do they deliver a dry bite.
That I couldn't say but I have seen some mishaps on video and those have always locked down to deliver serious bites. Kings have serious jaw strength and when feeding will instinctively grab prey and hold on. That won't be a dry bite.
Hi tataya.
DANG! That one at 3:39 is huge!! The farther in the video I get, I realize they're actually all massive.
This guys are expert handlers....
I from Thailand
Sehr schön
There my favorite snakes. I just love em. Smarties snake in the world.
Good video DM
I agree. A very revered creature in alot of cultures. Due to the potency of it's venom must be well respected.
They are historically respected more because they shed their skin.and are thus 'reborn'.
Wow!!
From the looks of that filthy wood 'cage' they keep that snake, it's surprising it isn't sick.
Nice
Seeing that cobra put on you dan I was like oh crap..he did it.. Right on..
2019 this bad ass dude was in my newsfeed...im now subbed ur brave king cobra is my NIGHTMARE yikes!
Kingcobras, like the mambas of Africa, do attack virtually everything without warning or reason. But yes, they are highly intelligent snakes.
King cobras not like black mamba. King cobras never attack without any reason and without warning. Even they will not come to human area.they are mostly living in forests. Because they are like cool atmosphere .
I love Thailand. There are a lot of cute things in Thailand, but snakes ain't one of them!
Do you think any were moids?
Snakes of Thailand! Forty
Awsome
Wow great Video! I know this place very well :-) the Ophiophagus there are dog tame. Enjoy it!!

I’m assuming these snakes aren’t being taken care of the way you would take care of them?!?
Did they take out the snakes venom glands? I hope not that’s not nice.
I hope they did
Those crates they are kept in look filthy...

great king cobra action?just love it?
Keep careful
_+_ I love King Cobra
凄いコブラかっこいいし可愛いですね👍👍👍
Thai ppl a super cool!
Love how cool these cobras are. However, those wooden cages are like their coffins. I really wanna see all these snakes released back in the wild. Forest is their home.
Not long ago I read that covid and the lack of tourists has forced the release of all of the cobras in this village. Most of the animal attractions across Thailand have experienced something similar but the locations that have elephants, crocodiles and other similar large animals that cannot simply be released have only resulted in animals getting fed less and/or not receiving the same level of care as before because no money to support.
You should have asked about the history of the spiritual woman who would go to a cave and do a ceremonial dance with a large king cobra and if completed the dance with kissing the king cobra on the back of the head without being bitten, it was a sign the village would have a good season for crops. Don't know if the lady still does the ceremony or not but was originally filmed doing it in 1920's.
I am not sure if they do that in Thailand because that old video footage was from Myanmar(another country 500-750 miles to northeast). I think I can say that lady in the 1920's is probably not doing the ceremony any longer because that would make her about 120yrs old but never know :)
@@DMExotics I know she did it until she was bitten and died, then her sister took over doing it, but do not know of more of the history of it. Anyway thanks for letting me know where it happened.
You know they were laughing at him carrying that snake hook. LOL Kind of like those dudes carrying mega weapon look alikes in Wal-Mart.
Watch Chandler's Wildlife to watch a king and other reptiles being handled well.
Check out the tape on the KC's face used to keep it's mouth shut !
coool
I love snake
See the performance of Vava Suresh from Kerala .India..
Steve Wilko on vacation.
I think the way they're kept in those filthy wooden boxes, is quite sad.
Actually it is part of their Buddhist religion with the snakes and the boxes are well kept.
Wow you won't afraid holding the snake?
Uau
