I had a cat that accidentally hitched a ride to the landfill, about 5.3 miles from where we lived. We were positive we’d never see him again but almost three weeks later he showed up at home, skin and bones and as clingy as a frightened child. Now I know that’s not as impressive a distance as a lot of other stories, but he had to travel through a very rural, heavily forested area, cross a busy interstate and busy four lane city street to get home. We had him for 14 years after that, he eventually died of cancer, but otherwise lived a long, happy life.
I had a black cat that KNEW I was close to getting home. It did not matter, if I was walking, riding a bike, driving, or being dropped off by someone. Time of day didn't matter either. I could call him silently, in my mind, and he'd come running. He was also EXTREMELY LOVING.
It’s weird my cat ever since He was a kitten would run right to the door n meow then I’d pull in the driveway a minute later, my roommate and I just assumed he was hearing my loud car cause cats have better heating n just memorized the noise. But 3 years later I don’t have a loud car anymore n he still does it lol even when I go for walks. Idk

I'v sent silent messages to my old cat, in the past. I remember sitting on a reclining armchair, in front of a roaring fire, at home. My cat was laid on the floor but looked really uncomfortable, so I telepathically suggested he come sit with me on the armchair. He didn't respond until I visualised him walking over to me (in my mind), and settling down next to me, which he immediately did....
There's a neighborhood cat that visits me a lot and it's not unusual for him to come through my window, demand treats, and then leave immediately after eating the treats. So one time he does this. After he's done eating he jumps back up on the windowsill, ready to leave. I say to him, "Wow. So you're really just gonna eat treats and leave?" And then he actually turned around, hopped onto my bed, and came and sat with me! I was not expecting that.
My sister's cat had kittens a couple of years ago and while she was with her babies I kept thinking about how much I missed cuddling with her, within the next 5 minutes she ran into my room to lay on my bed for a minute until she ran back to her babies! I could never forget that memory
Cats are extremely intelligent! They are loving, caring & healing. When I am sick my cat heals me just by being in the room with me. I am a cat person. I have been since I was a baby. I grew up with a dog watching over me, but no neighborhood cat was safe until I got my own cat. Now I can’t be without one.
As a child an experience of this phenomena occurred for our family as well... We had this cat which brought us "gifts" & placed these dead mice on our porch... Mom really, really did not like this at all so told Dad to get rid of it. I guess it was the cat had to go or Mom would and the cat couldn't cook so... Dad took the cat almost to Chicago, almost 100 miles away and dropped it off in a field I guess. About 3 mos. later the cat arrived back at our house very much to our amazement and we lived happily ever after...
A stray cat came to my house when I was going through really bad depression & living with someone incredibly abusive, and Everytime I’d be really low they’d show up. They followed me around the block during thanksgiving when I was crying and that’s the last day I saw it. When I was very young, my neighbours moved to the other side of town. It was probably only four or five kilometres away. One day we received a call from them, that they had lost their cat at their new house. A few days later I found the cat by their old house. Quite amazing.

I use to call my cat in my mind a he would be outside and then a few minutes later come home. Also would call his name while looking at him and his ears would always go back. He left one night and never came home almost two years ago still breaks my heart. I never had such a protective cat.
My girlfriend has had cats her whole life including one they gave to another family across town and it ran away and somehow found it’s way back to my girlfriends house despite never being away from the neighborhood in its life before that. Have two very strange stories involving my cats, first one when I was 7 my cat went missing and we moved home (about 25 miles) and the cat showed up a few months later to everyone’s disbelief. My cat came in a dream the day she died. I was in the hospital. In the morning, my mother visit me and i told her i dreamed our cat. I had a female dog who used to come meet me from my work . The first night I was working, it was finishing time and there She was at the shutter it was low so she couldn't get in within 2 minutes she was round the back and in and had never been there before . She continued to do this for as long as I worked there . The first night my husband was walking up with her and she took off and came right to me . She was a doberman and people would get scared seeing this dog coming running full pelt but they had nothing to worry about she had a mission to do and nothing stopped her.
I think the way people who can communicate with animals explain how they do it is the answer. I’ve heard it explain like picking up a radio frequency. Every being, human and animal has their own frequency and once tuned into that particular frequency you can telepathically see what they see, feel where they are and feel what they feel. I can believe this.we remolded our house n while we were we stayed at my mother's about 6 miles away.we were at the house everyday and feed her but she was there alone everyday.i had left the window open enough for her to go n and out.well she got tired of being alone and showed up at my mom's.she had never been there.

My first childhood cat Blueberry found me when I moved out about a 20 minute drive and he was sitting on my window seal and so I let him and he slept on my bed all night took him home the next day will always remember that night. Loved that cat so much ❤️
My cat escaped the house one day and 3 days later, I was up late night doing laundry at 2 AM when I hear a faint meowing sound outside. I opened the door, and she came right in like nothing happened. I don't know how far she went from the house, but she just went to her food bowl and ate like normal. It's amazing how cats can track their way home. My job takes me on the road away from home on weekends, We have a six pack now and the mother has a habit of disappearing while I'm away ,but no matter what time I arrive home or from which direction up or down the road home she comes running to beat me to the door. Then complains if I don't pet her for an hour.

The fact that the kitties owners abandoned their cat/left them behind only for the cat to not realize it was on purpose is heartbreaking. I love my big baby! @Devika M also what can really be brilliant is imagine the phone call from someone telling you they have got them or imagine your phone call to someone you love telling them the cats are back, that is really effective, just recently my friends son was competing with hundreds of others for a really wonderful job and we imagined a phone call from him saying he got the job and he did and that is quite an easy thing to visualise. Tbh I've always found it odd that my cats seem to know I'm near home. When I was at school, my mum always used to tell me that every day, at leat 5 minutes before I would get home, my cats would run to the door as if to greet me.
"Um, hello? Yea, Clemmy just up and left." Sure. More like they drove the cat to the old owner's house and dropped it off. There's no way a cat would walk that far on it's own without help.
I'll never forget the almost paranormal level intuition of our Golden Retriever in the 1990s, Sparky was something special.. Regardless of time of day.. he'd be lying on the floor at another part of the house.. quietly get-up and go watch the driveway through the living room window - eyes locked in patient anticipation.. 3-5 minutes later mom or dad pulled up to the house.. My father would come home at unpredictable times, even in middle of the day.. dog starts wagging his tail at an empty driveway (nobody out on the sidewalk ) when Sparky was quietly watching the driveway, it was time for my brother & I to turn off the cartoons/video games 😂
I believe in this, with pur experience there this cat awlays coming back to our house to eat.. But because we have a dog so he just come by to steal food.. He has a lot of bruises, scars that show how he usw to steal food and beat to death He cany even breath. My father planned to lose this cat by throwing him klm. Far from our house. After 3 days he came back. Were all shookt and wonder how come he knew the direction upto our house??? And bcoz it really hurt me see him like his dyinh for days. I adopt him and name him "Milo".. Treat him like my own pet aa I claim his the big brother ofy dog "lily".. I treat his scars, let take him medicine and vitamins.. A stray cat came to my house when I was going through really bad depression & living with someone incredibly abusive, and Everytime I’d be really low they’d show up. They followed me around the block during thanksgiving when I was crying and that’s the last day I saw it. I couldn’t take the cat because I was living with people who didn’t allow them but I’m so grateful. All white cat with blue eyes ❤ he would always come scratching on my door when I felt lonely❤

When I was very young, my neighbours moved to the other side of town. It was probably only four or five kilometres away. One day we received a call from them, that they had lost their cat at their new house. A few days later I found the cat by their old house. Quite amazing.

I use to call my cat in my mind a he would be outside and then a few minutes later come home. Also would call his name while looking at him and his ears would always go back. He left one night and never came home almost two years ago still breaks my heart. I never had such a protective cat.

Have two very strange stories involving my cats, first one when I was 7 my cat went missing and we moved home (about 25 miles) and the cat showed up a few months later to everyone’s disbelief. The second one was last year my cat was in my room, the door was locked and there were two further shut doors and my cat just seemed to teleport out the house, it was the strangest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life, i never actually told anyone as it seemed crazy

My cat came in a dream the day she died. I was in the hospital. In the morning, my mother visit me and i told her i dreamed our cat. She said she died- a neighbour poisoned her because he was in a big fight with my mother. I was the one that found this cat and brought her home. It was a tiger type. After she died, she knew how to find me. 19 years after this my older brother died in a car accident, in another country, about 8 o'cloock evening. After 1 or 2 hours came in my mother's dream. He was singing a song to his mother that he used to sing 10, 20 years ago. The lyrics were : " the rich and the poor go in the same place ". My mother woke up a bit scared and told my father. In the morning she received the call...Then she understood why the dream. Souls go somewhere and they can communicate at least in the first few days after death.

Idk about ghosts guiding them but we were first got a cat my niece couldn’t keep, it would look at the ceiling area at SOMETHING but then it seemed she got accustomed to “it” and no longee does it. Both my grandparents died in the home (this has been our family home for generations) and my sister who passed lived upstairs for a number of yrs before passing. The cat seemed to be looking at the upstairs area, perhaps thru the floor/ceiling upstairs. My nephew and ex brother-in-law felt upstairs was haunted when they lived in upstairs apt. I live in it now. I never feel any bad presences but I grew up in this house, particularly the upstairs apt. This house was always a safe loving place where I was protected from abuse in other homes so I feel it’s my family watching over us but our cat was def watching something but did not seem frightened, just on high alert def watching something.

I think the way people who can communicate with animals explain how they do it is the answer. I’ve heard it explain like picking up a radio frequency. Every being, human and animal has their own frequency and once tuned into that particular frequency you can telepathically see what they see, feel where they are and feel what they feel. My cat escaped the house one day and 3 days later, I was up late night doing laundry at 2 AM when I hear a faint meowing sound outside. I opened the door, and she came right in like nothing happened. I don't know how far she went from the house, but she just went to her food bowl and ate like normal. It's amazing how cats can track their way home. My job takes me on the road away from home on weekends, We have a six pack now and the mother has a habit of disappearing while I'm away ,but no matter what time I arrive home or from which direction up or down the road home she comes running to beat me to the door. Then complains if I don't pet her for an hour.

I love my big baby! @Devika M also what can really be brilliant is imagine the phone call from someone telling you they have got them or imagine your phone call to someone you love telling them the cats are back, that is really effective, just recently my friends son was competing with hundreds of others for a really wonderful job and we imagined a phone call from him saying he got the job and he did and that is quite an easy thing to visualise. Tbh I've always found it odd that my cats seem to know I'm near home. When I was at school, my mum always used to tell me that every day, at leat 5 minutes before I would get home, my cats would run to the door as if to greet me.
