Those glue traps are cruel when used for small animals like mice and rats. I hope this beautiful little lizard recovered. The gentle care in the man’s face was moving.
As a kid, I always did feel bad for the lizard who get trapped in them. My parents always told me not to help them but it was sad to see them squirm and take their last breathes.
@@sakiamira your parents are cruel!
Good that you aren't :)
So why are they cruel for small mammals but not for insects?.., do insects not suffer the same as mammals or something?
@@JazzyJADAxxx It's morally wrong to torture any animal, but indeed, most insects don't feel the same as mammals.
I didn't even know about glue traps, horrible!
Genuine concern for the smallest creatures is a sign of deep humanity👏🏻
And if that tinny baby has the chance to grow, it will become a mighty 6-7 foot long monitor lizard
He's the one who put the glue trap down in the first place lol he was trying to catch something
@@vossboss220 What do you base this allegation on?
From the evidence I've seen, caring about small creatures in the environment might be a sign of lack of humanity.
@@IamKnucks
Dude, no. It's literally the opposite.
In case anyone are triggered, the blue bottle is actually not (literally) adhesive remover. Its just coconut oil. In fact one of the best ones cause its pure coconut oil. Multipurpose. I use it for my hair whenever i finished my mom’s homemade coconut oil. Nothing beats that huh.
Coconut oil is literally my go to for everything, cracked lips, to moisturize my hair, to cook, i just love it, and now that i know it can be used to remove adhesive, it's even more useful! Thank you for the comment ☺️
thanks for explaining, I was really worried about harsh chemical hurting the baby lizard in the long run!
Yes here in south East Asia, Coconut and coconut oil has so many purposes. All natural and non chemical. It's amazing
@@allister.trudel no problem. We all love The Dodo Channel, I just don’t want them to be misunderstood.
I was concerned about what he was putting on it. Poor little guy! What a beautiful gift of love ❤️ 😍 💖 that human gave.
I love this. We are custodians of our world, and this man's kindness and decency is so richly needed.
No truer message than that❣
Well put, but I'm very pessimistic about the whole thing...
WOW! That just touched my heart ❤ such sentiment was beautiful and true describing our own nature. I felt like our father patted my head. ☺😍
true :')
Thank you!
Halfway through getting the gunk off, the little guy seemed to stop fighting back.. He knows he's being helped. Then the release at the end, no struggle.. So beautiful. Absolutely melted me.
Yeah, the way he held on to the guys hand at the end almost made me shed a tear. He actually trusted him 🥲
Or he's just too tired he's given up
Nope, he gave up.
Those glue traps should be outlawed! Thank you for saving that baby. He deserves to live his life free. Wish him a long life.
Those torturous glue traps should be illegal 😤 I get upset everytime I seem in stores. Imagine being stuck to a board until you died 💔 God bless Bentail & the beautiful creature he saved 🙏💗🦎
I think the people that use the glue traps should be put on one themselves and watch them until you know ....
What if it was his own trap though?
Glue traps should be discontinued. It’s just torture for all the little animals. Great work helping the lil 🦎
And doesn't work all that well against insects anymore
100% agree. Cruel.
Yep, this is why I always prefer to use snap traps. It still kills, but it at least does it fast enough that whatever was caught in it doesn’t have enough time to suffer before it dies.
@@peggedyourdad9560 I getcha. It's still sad when some animal that didn't deserve it ends up getting it instead.
@@TsukiZer0 yep, but that’s just the nature of setting traps, sometimes you’re going to get something you didn’t mean to. There are live traps, but you have to remember to check them every few hours or they can be just as cruel as a glue board. Some can even cause some pretty nasty injuries as I’ve seen happen to some mice I used them on. Better to kill them right away than let them either suffocate to death or live with an injury that will kill them slowly via infection.
I had to remove a hamster from a glue trap once, not easy. I was terrified that I was going to rip a leg off or something.
Man that is horrible f*ck glue traps
I experienced something similar, once I let my hamster, Bliss free roamed and I didn't notice that in the same room my mom placed a glue trap (that I actually really hate) and my hammy got stucked. Thankfully I could removed her and she's still alive 🐹
@@WGarita2001 I just hate glue traps they’re so inhuman and poor animals like that get stuck and I imagine I’d be terrifying for any person
@@bigclitenergy I remember my girl trying to get free, she was very stressed, and at the end the glue trap finished witha chunk of her hair 😔
Such a caring man. Glue traps should be banned.
What do you mean. How are you doing?
How are you going to catch rats that spread diseases and destroy food, furniture and spread pathogens through it's excrement.
Glue traps is the most efficient way to catch rats at home 🏠.

The amount of care that must have gone in to removing all that glue from such a tiny creature is outstanding. It is apparent that this man wholeheartedly cares about the lizard. Also it seems like the lizard knew it was being helped as it didn’t try to bite or escape the man.
"as it didn't try to bite"
bite: 1:10 thumb; :(
But i do think it actually started to understand whatever was handling it was not a threat or was just too powerful for it to fight back.
It's so nice to see a big man being so gentle, while helping such a tiny little lizard. Oh. what was the stuff in the blue bottle that you used initially to remove the glue before using the sand? I'm just curious.
I saved a big Dragonfly that was caught in an old spiders web. Not sure how to get the sticky webbing off his wings so I gently used water and it worked like a charm. Then he flew off. It was such an awesome feeling to be able to help.
Take care of yourself. 💜🌷
Thats coconut oil
It’s actually coconut oil.
That is parachute coconut oil
it was parachute coconut oil
INDIAN cocknut oil
What a beautiful human, taking so much time to save what many would consider to be an insignificant life. Good Karma
He is handling that little fella like He is doing it as a profession every day 😍❤️
He's a snake catcher in Goa
Just a passion
That's a glue trap - one of the most vile inventions of mankind.
What a beautiful lizard. I’m glad he was able to save it ❤️
@96VS yeah they definitely do
Thank you for your kindness. It’s horrible that these sadistic glue traps are still used by some cruel people.
Some people still eat and wear and use animals. Cruel people are in abundance
@@JazzyJADAxxx nothing bad about eating animals
Coconut oil and semolina to the rescue. This appears to be a familiar method for Mr Benhail, is this video part of a rescue group's efforts or is he a veterinarian who cares for many species? I checked his other videos and he uses this same method to care for a young King Cobra. This degree of care has my respect. I have spent time helping rescue workers and know this takes a lot of dedication and a massive amount of species specific knowledge. Thanks to The Dodo for spreading awareness of this effort and the link to Mr Benhail's site.
Thanks for your kind words... I am am not a veterinarian... wish I was... just a lay person trying to do my bit.
Poor little traumatized guy! So glad he got unglued and set free ❤️
SCHOULD BE FORBIDDEN GLUE TRAPS ARE YOU KIDDING ME NOW?!POOR ANIMALS RESPECT TO ALL LIVES ALWAYS ❤️
I think it was meant to capture bugs in their house for an example, roaches, ants, etc
@@solarst4r - No , you get them for mice and it has mice written on it .. well , even bugs , why stick them on a surface and leave them to starve

Totally!! They are cruel as hell, even to an insect!!
It's crazy how in the beginning he was struggling, even biting. By the time the man was using the sand on him, he knew he was being helped. He even looked slightly reluctant when released. Probably from all the good massages and bath time he got 😉 I would stay, too! Lol...
Exhausted from struggling.
I really wish it had to sit back and enjoy the massage.. but I am sure it was traumatized and exhausted. Unfortunately I am not an animal whisperer ;p
Such care and kindness. Demonstrates God’s love for even the smallest of the Kingdom….
I love how by the times he immersed it into water, the lizard was trustworthy of that wonderful human
The lizard is so cute with his little tongue. Glad he was helped and got all that nasty glue off! Kudos to that guy for helping
0:11 This is Coconut Oil
The most common oil in Indian household.
I like how the lizard is fighting and biting in the beginning, but towards the end he is sitting so chill in your hand lol
Those monitors are extremely intelligent lizards that learn very quickly and really think for themselves.
Thank you for saving the little guy and releasing him afterwards. Well done!
What a kind soul this man has to rescue a lizard. I bet the lizard feels so much better after the glue was removed and it had a bath.
That's no ordinary lizard--that's a monitor lizard! An Asian Water Monitor by the looks of it. Won't stay little for long. They get about 6' long and are highly intelligent (like all monitor lizards). Cobras and monitor lizards are the smartest reptiles. 🌟🧠🌟
It was like a lizard day spa. First he got an oil massage, then a sand exfoliation, then soaked in the hot tub and towel dried. Now he's gonna tell all his friends, "if you go in the glue, you'll be the most pampered lizard in all the land".
Lol that's cute 😍
Hehe
For anyone wanting to know what’s in that blue bottle that the guy used to remove the glue, it’s actually coconut oil. It’s really common in India and a lot of brands are available in USA as well. It can be made at home as well. If you want me to publish the recipe of coconut oil, kindly write and comment back at this comment.
Cool. Seemed harmless to the critter, but it's good to know what it was
Thanks! I was worried it was another chemical
Yes Ashrita I am curious as to how u make coconut oil derivative. Thank u 💞
We Indians don’t forget parachute
I kneww itt I commented about it before I saw your comment like huhh I got a bottle just like that but it's coconut oil 🤣 i use it for my hair
Loving how gentle you are with the lil creature
You are so very kind and gentle. Thank for letting him living as born free.
Bless you for saving this lizard ✨
This really made me smile ❤️
I love how when the guy was taking the lizard out to release it. The lizard went to bite him in a defensive manner but seemed to calm once it sniffed the man’s hand. I believe it’s some kind of Tegu or Monitor Lizard. Props to the guy for being so patiently helping this little boi.
Idk if that bite would hurt...its like: ok? Nom?
Most likely an Asian water monitor. Crazy, that he them roaming freely where he lives, as they are exotic pets for people in the U.S.
@@jrivv2239 could of escaped from somewhere...lizards tend to be slippery buggers. Our beardie has escaped once...hid under the sofa...where like: ok which one of you cats hit the door?
Yes, it is a Monitor lizard.. they roam wild and free here. However, they are poached for their skin and blood.
Poor little guy. This makes a good case for not using glue traps. I love when he’s upside down over the water holding on to Benhail’s thumb with both arms. Run free, little lizard. 🦎💕
You are very clever, congratulations on your successful rescue.
it went from fearing for its life to enjoying the spa day, well done dude.
What a sweet and gentle man..
Wow what a hero
! Definitely a fantastic man !
That lizard just had the best spa day ever!

Lizard: That's a really good massage human.
What a beautiful gesture to give such fabulous care and LIFE back to this tiny creature! ♥️🦎♥️
it's striking, the man's gentleness and the lizard never even trying to bite him. this was beautiful and i'm so glad the lil baby was able to carry on his way thanks to the man's kindness.
Thankyou!!!! You are a TRUE gentleman!!💜 You are so kind! We need more of you in this UGLY world! Much respect to you sir!💜
Les couleurs de ce petit lézard sont magnifiques , quelle créature !
Thank for rescue and sharing .
Yes his marks are beautiful 😍 🦎
Il s’agit d’une espèce de varan, peut être un varan du nil vu son pattern mais ça serrait peu probable vu la location
Yes it's a Monitor lizard in Goa, India
Glue traps are animal cruelty. Imagine what it would feel like for yourself.
Wonderful. Thank you for rescuing the lizard. Glue traps need to be outlawed. Never ever use glue traps.
Blessings for this caring man.
He’s really a good person. Awesome 👏
I love how by the end the little lizard was clinging to his finger while being washed, it’s like he knew the guy was trying to help him stay out of the water so he could get all the glue off.
Such a cute little lizard! Glad you saved him from that horrible trap!
That massage probably started feeling good after a while 😂
Seems to me that the adhesive remover would be very toxic to the lizard. It is good that you helped it though.
I was thinking the same thing
Vegetable oil does the same thing
Well, as long as it doesn't drink it I think it is safe enough... But I don't use it on animals so I can't say.
That's not any kind of adhesive remover its coconut oil
It is edible coconut oil.
THANK YOU FOR HELPING A MEMBER OF THE TREE OF LIFE.
Amazing job dude! This poor thing must have went through all the emotions that day...
Just amazing!🦎Thank you!!💜💜💜
STOP STICKY TRAPS!!!!!!!
Little guy didn’t want to leave
Haha, yes, at first he was trying to bite him, but later it was like, Hey you know what, I'm actually kind of enjoying this (esp. starting around 2:00)
You have a lot of courage! Thanks for saving the little guy!
Thank you for saving him/her. What a lucky lizard.
What a kind soul
Another SUPER...SUPER HERO. all creatures deserve help.
He knew exactly what to do and the items needed to do it. Suspicious.
Yup... I happen to know what is required when I have been rescuing for 20 years... or rather trying to help for 20 years :)
Beautiful video. A big man with a big heart.
Humanity at its best ❤
Beautiful creature. Thanks for posting.
I LOVE lizards! Thanks to this man for treating this one with love and respect👍🏻❤🫂
You have a big heart my friend 💙
He was fighting that 'full-body' massage at first, but about halfway through he was like "oooh, I like this!" 😁
Lol
I guess this little guy passed the audition for the next Super Glue commercial...
So Beautiful!!! The love and care for God's creatures is beautiful. ❤️
I got a kick at the lizard trying to bite him. 😁. The man was so gentle with him.
God Bless this man...🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
They always try to have a piece of me ;p
The Lizard seemed to understand. Thank you Sir
Oh, bless your heart! What an awesome thing you did! You are a SUPERB human being. Thank you for taking such thorough care of this little guy! 🦎🐾🐾🐾❤
*2:40** Lol, lizard was like... I dunno, I'm kinda used to the spa treatment now. 😅*
What a sweet man to take the time to make sure all the glue is off of the little creature. 👍👋🏻
Looks like a baby monitor lizard, cute little guy, good job helping him!!
This was cool. Thank you for saving him
Good job. I have used baby oil or cooking oil.
It works as good as glue remover to freed little ones from glue traps.
You are a merciful man. God bless you and all you love. Thank you.
