WHALE FALL | Animated Student Film 2021 (ACCD x GOBELINS)

Here's an animation jam I animated and storyboarded for back in my second term. It’s was an honor to be a part of the first ever Artcenter x Gobelins animation jam! It was a blast to work along side Joey Tran, Merel Hamers, Theo Guyot, Titouan Guillemot, and Hannah Judd. So grateful to be a part of such a talented team!

I wonder if whales know that their death is approaching and perhaps swim towards certain areas of the sea to die there? Elephants have graveyards, I think perhaps some of the huge dinosaurs did as well, it makes sense to me to propose the possibility.
