After watching a lot of these videos, I do appreciate that you show ALL the steps and don't just gloss over a step or two - I like how you still show the process even though you've sped it up.
Generative Fill and tracking 😮 🤯 that's a game changer right there. I've watched so many videos on generative fill and this is the first one I've seen someone use tracking...Can't wait to try this out!!!
What a great tutorial. Straight to the point, no fluff. Thank you. I've been using this method with content aware fill and mocha pro since 2020 where I first started to dabble with vfx during the lockdown for my first feature film. Generative fill makes it so much easier and you showed how perfectly. One advice I can give would be to also play with levels besides lumetri and add some camera lens blur for a more realistic depth of field. Liked and subscribed 🤜
Great tutorial man, your style of teaching is very easy to follow even though you're going over a lot of different techniques, love it. Subscribed and can 't wait for more creative tutorials like this!
Finally someone who can explain this in terms I understand… I didn’t know that generative fill can be so easy to use! Thank you for making this tutorial easy to follow along. Do you think you could make a tutorial on basic color-grading as well? 🙏
hi, it really depends on the movement you are looking for. Simple x, y movement (no perspective change) can easily be achieved by adding a null, connect the object and animate with keyframes. More dynamic movement is not possible with this setup, but some AI software like Runway and Pika Studio, can add a little bit of movement, but wont be able to match it to the scene.
@@martinbue hi, thank you for your response, say you green screened some images, like I could do that in procreate, then use runway and then pop it in after effects with the footage, would that work?
Great video. What about film noise/grain on the added objects? It's difficult to see if it's noticeable on UA-cam but you would definitely see when viewed on a 40' screen the added elements don't have active noise/grain that the live footage will have? Any thoughts?
I use generative fill by bringing the video directly into photoshop, adding the elements, and then exporting the video and loading it into my editor . I don't do the make an image step that everyone on UA-cam seems to.be so fond of
Quick question. On the Motion video. why did we leave the person on the frame when importing that to AE and the first one we didnt? anyone know please let me know thank you
Thank you for the video, excellent quality, by the way, I'm looking for courses that offer similar positions, I hope you can suggest some names of courses.
By the way, its not normal 7 GB for the size of clips that you put in description! 7GB is size for a 4k movie ,and its tooo much for a some seconds video
You can always create a stationary contrast object with the generative fill, place it in the scene and then track that. If the moving object is interluding with your object then you can delete it with content aware fill or just create another clean plate like he did in the beginning of the video then build upon that. There's like endless solutions for these kind of problems.
This is nothing new or groudbreaking. It was done for ages like set extension, matte painting. This so called AI method has only one difference. Instead of searching in google for the right grass asset or building you can search and apply directly in the editing app.
Well that’s exactly the point. For most people it saves you time and convenience, especially for beginners who might not have all the tools or skills to blend assets in a scene. Photoshop does this for you
Not really. AI does all the work of creating the images to be automatically blended into their surroundings taking into account perspective, distance, color, ect. and it looks legitimate. It takes a lot of time and fine tuning to do all of that by hand. If anyone’s ever tired to do it by hand before, they’ll understand.

Fantastic work, Martin! Not only was the concept really cool, but also your teaching style works really well!
Wish all my school teachers were this good. Kudos buddy!
This is pure gold! I can't describe the excitement that I've right now :D

i just made a tutorial for davinci, go check it out ;)
SUCH A GREAT AND EASY TO FOLLOW VIDEO
except the color grading you add at the end, it was really good and well explained.
Thanks for feedback. I have plans of making a separate video about color grading, so stay tuned!
@@martinbue I mean the pink look didn't look good to me. But it's not important for the video
I am your 345th subscriber. Thank you for doing this video. I like learning about ai and after effects.
Super bro... Your explained full steps.. Thank you.. ♥️
I would also add some motion blur to the generated objects, so that they fit in more naturally with the camera footage.
yeah for sure
Hey bro ❤️🔥 it's awesome

Is there a way, or going to be a way of making all the generated subjects move in some way.. ?

@@SofieRPhoto I've never tried that, but it should work. You might need to mask out the footage a bit and play with some curves to match the footage

Yeah that’s a really good idea. Anything that can help blend it better is usually what you want. Also makes it looks more cinematic
Great stuff. Also think about that far away objects are not as sharp as closer objects.
Very good, thank you!

Amazingly explained. Btw how do you create the transition flicker, what is the effect called?
Thanks 🙏 it’s a combination of light leaks and old film grain stock clips

Great video. But the intro feels off. Like the shutter angle is very high or shot at 30fps.
Hey bro, Can you give me a suggestion, My computer has 8 gb Ram. Can I run after effects smoothly?
Hey, I'd recommend at least 16gb, otherwise you might quickly run into real time rendering problems or adding effects to clips
there is no need for rotoscope!? just mask it out rough and smooth feather should be enough!?
Wait photoshop does video...😮
No. It's a combination
🙏🙏🙏
Love the video, but you tracked people it looks like what if they moved in the video? Lol
Then I would be in trouble 😆 luckily it worked for this one. Cheers

@@bluerabbit1236 lol. I was just trying to be funny. I wasn’t asking for solutions 😂🫶🏻
Thx
bro why are you taking 2 track points every time?what if we take 1 track point?
You need two track points, otherwise your rotation on your layers can’t be tracked properly
ok tq bro💖@@martinbue
No more compositing
