All of the president's have historically aged faster in their terms due to all of the stress and high demand work, especially the last 20 years in particular. Honestly idk what Biden hopes to gain from staying in the race. He cannot function or handle the stress of the job. He shouldn't even want to run. Him staying in is due entirely to his own ego. And it's the DNC's fault for not holding a primary and enabling this.

Problem now is that US politics is so singular candidate-focused that it may sink the whole country for a couple of years more of infighting.
I mean the single head of the state has a lot more power than in germany for example where ministers are also very powerful. So candidate focused campaigns make sense in a way.
