Another epic modification accomplished. Even on an overcast day, it still sparkles! One slight bummer is that this car doesn't have a sunroof but I understand that's not a main reason to own a GTR.
Thanks man! I actually just washed it the day before this video. And surprisingly there wasn't any dirt on it after driving it it in the vid! Sunroof or pano roof would be sweet!

Thanks for this. I’ve always been leery of messing with the suspension because it was pretty good and I didn’t want to lose the additional settings. I was also worried about ground clearance. I think I might consider these springs as a mod now.
Mine was modified with Swift 1" lowering springs just before I bought it. I wasn't thrilled as I didn't know the shop techs who installed it, how well it was installed and quality of the parts. I would have preferred stock springs. A year later, there were some loud creaking sounds when turning at low speeds. It was found that those rubber sleeves were not put on that were from the stock springs. After they were sourced and installed, that loud creaking sound went away. Maybe it's an issue based on the Swift spring design that requires the sleeves during install. I would imagine it being part of the installation instructions to clearly note if it was a requirement. Thanks for the great videos and content, have an Awesome 2022! I just happen to look at the Swift springs on Vivid Racing site and the newer springs now come with their own sleeves, so at least for this brand it was a requirement.
Intersting. On my Supra I never had a noise 2 years with the springs. I'll see if these ever do. At least I know how to fix if if needed lol. Glad you enjoyed the video! GTR is a great car! Happy 2022 to you as well!
Happy new year!!!!!!! Running same springs as we spoke - I wish rear was a little bit lower BUT I agree other brands will lower your car more in front or less in the back! I also did some re-search before installing them. The car looks perfect and handles great ! I always lower my AWD cars .5 inch! What's next? I really enjoy my GTR as it is, next year I have some plans! wait, this year!
Yeah I wouldn't mind maybe .75 all around. But I definitely did not want my car to squat or be slammed in front. So H&R seems like the best option to get everything I wanted. Happy 2022 to you as well! GTR won't get too many new mods this year. The 2023 Z will be the spotlight car for sure once that gets here
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Coilovers are great if you track the car a lot! I always had issues with coils, leaking oil etc,.. You did an alignment ? was it way off? - BTW GTR's are hungry for any mods! :)
Coils are great for track use and cars that don't have the best factory setup. My Nismo Z handled sooo well with the coilovers. Not sure if I'd do that again for that car or just do springs. Never had issues with those. I did do an alignment before making this vid. Toe was a bit off all around. So they straightened that out. Camber was maxed out at -2. So Tires will wear a bit more then the -1.7 I used to have
I have the same spring set up in my bed. LoL. Looks good and when a car doesn't dive or squat can make it feel more under control. Does the car have PPF?
Yeah I like a good even drop. No ppf on the GTR since there were already chips on it when I bought it. But it has ceramic coating on the paint and was polished before. So it looks really good. I've honestly never put a chip in the car since I've owned it. And the grey hides the ones that are there
Happy new year Bros 4! Getting closer to the--Z-- Guys with normal cars like me- can do suspension work and notice a huge difference too! ( By the way Brian you have absolutely nothing to prove to any prick living in his mother's basement driving a Hyundai sonata arguing about GTR'S just saying 😉)
Happy New Year! Car looks great lowered. My buddy has a 2015 GTR, about a month ago his transmission started acting funny. Now it won’t shift into the odd gears. Have you ever experienced anything like this with yours? Thanks man.
Happy new year! Dang that sucks for sure! Sounds like it'd be the odd side for the gear actuator. I've never had an issue/ But if he has a Cobb Accessport he could put a new TCM tune on it and do some resets with the shift points and clutch capacitors. That could help. If not, it might have a real issue
Have you tested the riding height through obstacles like curbs and ramps on the street? I live in Vegas where there are many speed bumps around the hotels and casinos. G outs at the Valley of Fire are pretty steep at higher speeds.
I can still clear everything I encounter. I always had about an inch of clearance stock. So now I have .5in of clearance. So this is a very livable setup. i do angle a bit harder on high areas just in case
It is ;) ua-cam.com/video/wUn66DcOtUc/v-deo.html This single turbo made about the same power as the twin turbo one I drove years ago. GTR on E85 pretty much beats everything. A McLaren or 488, or E85 FBO GT500/ZL1 are about the only cars that could give this a run
Yeah I got coils but like my car to have minimal space in between. Preferred some tuck. Front seems to be hitting the screw that holds inner lining with fender. Gotta take it out and play around. Hopefully no bends occur. Seems to get past bumps
It won't be a fun time if the car scrapes the bottom over every speed hump or driveway. I had a C5 Corvette base that did that on stock suspension. Can't imagine lowering a low to the floor car more hehe. 😊

Great video. I'm glad you didn't ruin your ride adjustment.
The adjustable suspension is one of my favorite features. So I just couldn't see getting rid of that
This is what I was waiting for thx Brian
Glad you liked the video! Figured we'd kick off the new year with a GTR vid ;)
That's a lot of more Nissan GT-R R35 for the Vision of the Concept in the World.

GTR has been fun the last 4 years! They all are some good trims! More and more track focused as you go up in trims levels.
Thanks for this. I’ve always been leery of messing with the suspension because it was pretty good and I didn’t want to lose the additional settings. I was also worried about ground clearance. I think I might consider these springs as a mod now.
Yeah I've had no clearance issues aside from big things that were close anyways. So the H&R is a very livable setup for sure!
I have Swift springs on my GT-R. I absolutely love the more precise feel than factory.
To me, totally worth the minimal cost.
Very nice! I've heard good things about that brand too!
Beautiful car man!
Thanks!

Nice bro , is the gtr faster than a twin turbo 370z you drove in one of your vedios years back

Mine are to wide and car is to low I have a big 18inch drag setup...I'm still trying 5o figure it out..lol
What width tires are you running? Adjustable coilovers might be ideal if track focused driving is what you do

@@BrosFOURRSpeed tires are 275 fron and 305 rear..
Sweet! My next tires will probably be that wide
Is there any link where you bought your lowering springs? and brand type
I'm pretty sure I said it in the video ;)
But yes the description has Fitment Industries linked. These are the H&R springs
It won't be a fun time if the car scrapes the bottom over every speed hump or driveway. I had a C5 Corvette base that did that on stock suspension. Can't imagine lowering a low to the floor car more hehe. 😊
Too low is definitely not fun! THis is a good setup for the cr to gain the performance and look, but without sacrificing driveability
