I agree, infact I would place science/defence very high in a government. America as a super power is such because we invest alot into defense. A quick google search shows that Defense is the 4th highest budget in the government.
The top 5 are:
1. Department of Health and Human Services
2. Social Security
3. Department of Treasury

5. Department of Veteran Affairs

If the Gorosei have an order, then I would guess it's the order of planets: Mercury (1), Venus (2), skip the Earth, Mars (3), Jupiter (4), Saturn (5). This might be unrelated to their ranking or seniority.

That's most likely the case. It would also fit the geocentric system with Imu as Earth.
And then you have Nikka/Joyboy representing the Sun, Nefertari Lili representing Earth, and Imu representing the Moon - with the ancient weapons representing the last 2 planets of the Solar System (Uranus, Poseidon/Neptune) + Pluto.
If Imu is immortal and around the whole time, he could have even _bred_ the Gorosei.
Like, he started training up his direct subbordinates starting from their great, great, great, grandfather.

I think the way you had them listed on screen originally makes the most sense because it mirrors the development of civilization. Going from an agricultural/trade based society to a system of finance to a codified justice system and so on.

Question:
What are the chances that the gorosei had held previous titles or positions before their current ones?
Like for example: Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro being original "Warrior God of Justice" then due to the current changing of times that title went to Topman Warcury?
Saturn, "The Warrior God Of Science" is a real scientist so kinda doubt it.
But maybe the Defense title is changeable position, since Saturn don't seem to be a good war general and the position seemed "secondary"

I theorized the gorosei magic circles numbers will be 1-5 , and it counts up or down from the distance to the sun Saturn being the furthest from the sun and ending up being 5

Tekking, when I first saw the 5 in the ring for Saturn I thought the strength/rank is in order from how far you are from the Sun in the solar system. So it would be in order Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, then Saturn. Could also argue that it’s based on how close the planets are to Earth considering their disdain for the Sun God. In that case it would be Venus, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, then Saturn.
Whichever one makes Samurai Gandhi the strongest.
So they are going to meet Luffy in that order.

So, with your theory, if Saturn is the last Gorosei to be added to Imu's collection of "worthy" Celestial Dragons, he cannot have been recruited within the last 900 years.

Idk if someone already theorized it already, but if you skip Earth, Saturn is the 5th planet from the sun. So the others would have their associated place in the solar system (Topman Mercury = 1, V. Nusjuro = 2, etc.) in terms of the number for their summoning circle.

The number on the summoning circles could be like a parallel to the distance of the planets in our world from the sun.
Saturn out of the 5 of them is the farthest away from the sun.
I’ve always had the theory that each Goroseii were around at the same time and had the immortal surgery, but some look younger than the others because they had someone do it to them first.
We know the immortal surgery kills the user, so then they would have fruits nearby to respawn, then have a doctor or someone eat the fruit, get used to it then use the surgery on the next Goroseii in line.
Aka one gets the surgery, then the next might take a few years then get it and so on. Makes sense how some look younger but don't have that mentality of looking down on a younger member.
What u wonder is if the Gorosei have ever been replaced.
Have any of them ever been killed or compromised, or failed to live up to Imu's standards, so a new one had to be selected?

What if the gorosei (as suggested by Saturn) look older when using their fruits because using them is so stressful that it wears their bodies out. We know Oda likes the shortened lifespan trope to signify risky powers. That might be why they rarely do anything themselves. Maybe, immortal or not, overusing their powers will age them to death.
Okay serious question. How did the Iron giant activate 200 years ago when we now know that the fuel for it is Joy boys drums of liberation? Was there another awakening user of the sun God fruit in that 200 years from then to luffy?? These questions need answered @tekking101

I think their order of joining would be in order of how close certain planets are to the sun. The "Sun," in this case , is Joyboy, who we assume ate the Nika Fruit.
Also, I think that those closest to the "Sun" likely lived nearest to when Joy boy. It would also make sense to say that those who lived the closest to the Void Century are more powerful, as we generally see Topman depicted in the middle when the gorosei are shown side-by-side

I have to believe that the Op-Op fruit is so expensive, equivalent to a Yonko bounty, because it is used to make a new gorosei immortal. as we've seen the government isn't able to just control where a devil fruit comes into being, and struggle to find a specific fruit, though the gomu-gomu fruit was a zoan which made it even harder to find.

Well, visible to the naked eye, in the night sky there are 5 planets. The gorosei are named after them but there are two other (planets, that is. Neptune & Uranus) that need special equipment to be observed. One is Imu, who is the other ?

Ancient weapon Pluton is most certainly Pluto. You can debate if Pluto is still a planet but it was classified as one until 2006 and was still important in ancient mythology.

I'm a firm believer that Imu, & the Gorose all have had the Ope Ope no Mi special ability of immortality.
There are like 2 theories that I like about numbers from gorosei, first it's the distance between earth(assuming earth is imu) to each planet, Saturn is the farthest from earth, then Jupiter etc. second one is position from SUN except earth like mercury, Venus, mars, Jupiter and saturn

The fifth planet from the Sun excluding Earth (since earth represent Imu) is the planet Saturn. So if we follow your theory in order with our solar system, Topman is the first Gorosei that Imu recruited, the second is V nusjuro, third is Mars, fourth is Jupiter, and lastly Saturn.

Venusjuro also makes some sense as the first since if Imu's supposed to be Earth, then it would make sense, since Earth and Venus are opposite twins, since they're the same size, except, one's too poluted while the other's somewhat clear.
Edit: Also, the US Department of Agriculture wasn't founded until the turn of the 20th century, as agriculture wasn't intially that important, it was just, as the US expanded, agriculture became more of a priority, so a new department was needed. So, for Agriculture to be added later in the One Piece World makes some sense since it means the whole thing began to expand and they needed someone to govern the agriculture.
I think that if Saturn is knocked out or killed, the other Gorosei may disappear, but thats only if the forms are not related to their body.

Headcanon in progress: JoyBoy/Nika body and soul were split. His soul ended up residing in a fruit. His body is in Imu's cold chamber with the hat.
I think they extracted his lineage factor, it could be where the regeneration comes from.
