Has anyone notice that C. Viper has the suit and powers that M. Bison had in the 90s Live action movie? From the anti gravity to the electric attacks. It's like Capcom decided to make that version of the film into their story/ game/ OVA canon, and they just made a character on the 4th Street Fighter game to give it to.
True. Some people realized it, but most didnt. And it just underlines that the canon story in Street Fighter makes sense, that Akuma is a level above Bison and anyone else. SF2 The Animated Movie is still the best from all the movie's, but Akuma was missing there. He was shortly seen in India when Honda fought Dhalsim, but that was all about him. Here in this movie you can see when Ryu gets into the Dark Hado mode, Viper is on lost ground, she is helpless. Bison's advantage was the suit with that anti gravity stuff and his electric attacks, but Akuma can teleport too, he even can vanish for minutes if he wants to (seen in SF Alpha anime), and his offensive arsenal is way superior to Bison.

Gouki is interested in fighting someone stronger than he is to unleash his Blood lust (Satsui No Hadou) to kill or be killed by a powerful opponent, because in his mind he is the Ultimate, most powerful fighter. Which of course he isn't, but he can definitely wipe the floor with the entire Shadow Law Organization, Bison and his top cronies included. Ryu is on a same spectrum, but he fights the "Killing Intent" (also Satsui No Hadou) but on the other side of the coin, with wanting to beat his imperfections as a fighter and test his skills with powerful opponents. Bison and Shadaloo and the splinter organizations are center show because it unites all fighters through a common antagonist that brings many different story archs.

Be it in SF Alpha or here in SF 4, usually Ryu and Gouki/Akuma have one short meeting, but that's it. Gouki usually never shows up again in the later part of the movie's, only in SF Alpha he was there in the end, having a short talk with Ryu, then both attack each other with a jumping kick, and the movie ends. It would be nice to see a scene when Bison and his Shadalloo crew, Seeth, but also Guile, Sakura, Ken, Eliza and Cammy finally see or met Gouki. Chunli met him in SF Alpha, but all the others never saw him. Because i am absolute sure the good guys (Guile, Cammy, Ken, Sakura) would be shocked to see such a demon like him, but even Bison, Balrog, Vega and Sagat would most probably be very uncomfortable since they always think they are the best, but should they ever met him, they would realize very fast they are no match for him. Just imagine a scene with the arrogant beauty boy Vega would attack him, and Gouki would just avoid the attack by teleport, and then beat the cr.. out of Vega with 1-2 attacks. Vega would become a cry baby :-D. And it would also be very funny how Bison would react. Remember who powerfull he was portrayed in SF 2 The Animated Movie, almost like invincible, even without the jacket Ken and Ryu had to fight together to beat him in a very close fight. Bison knew from the data of the cyborg how good Ryu is, but he was sure Ryu is no match for him, and he wasnt. What would happen if Bison mets Gouki and when he tries to use all his teleport tools, Gouki would just teleport himself and pari his attacks with ease. I am sure Bison couldnt deal with that, it would destroy him mentally to met someone who is simply much stronger as himself.

Good observation! It reminds me on a cartoon series back in 1995 or so, but it wasnt the American, they were two. It was the Japanese, and the timeline was a bit before, it plays when Ryu, Ken, Chunli, Feilong etc. are all around 18 or so. Ken and Chunli have a little romance there. Vega tries to get Chunli and Ken fights for her to protect her. I liked that. Look here at 34:15. I know many SF fans want the ship Ryu & Chunli, but Ryu gets really mad when he sees Cammy getting hurt by Rose. Not many think about Ryu and Cammy but i would like them togehter. Of cousre nobody has to agree. ;)
@@chrisbach1533 I believe the cartoon you are referrign to is SF2 V. I remember scene with Ken and Chunli well. Ken has to protect her as she was under a trance while he escorted her to the dinner. Most peeps love to pair Ryu with Chunli because she's fond of him but mostly out of respect, and of cos, they are both Asians but also, Ken is married and happy. With the Cammy scene, as long as you're helpless, Ryu will probably get upset and enter the satsui stage during the period he was struggling to control it. Same for Sakura, Chunli, Ken, he's channeled it while they were in danger.

But what many dont know (i didnt know it until earlier this year) Ken is actually 3/4 Asian and only 1/4 Caucasian. So with him and Eliza you have a 75% Asian / 25% Caucasian man with 100% Caucasian, blond, blue eyed woman. So hypothetically Ryu and Cammy would also be a constellation which is similar, an Asian man with a Caucasian woman. Of course i agree with you about Ryu and the satsui stage. He would most probably get angry any time someone is in danger, dont matter if Cammy or someone else. BTW: Not important but its cool to see you are using todays and modern romanizations of Chunli's name. Back in the day her name was always spelled "Chun Li" or Chun-Li", which looks like two seperate names. But its one name which belongs together. Still to this day most SF2 fans spell her name that way, and in the SF2 V cartoon when Ken sees her for the first time, he says "Misses Li", just underlines many ppl thought Chun is her first/given name and Li her last/surname. But spell it either Chunli or with syllabification Chun-li (not capizalize the L) is the best way and doesnt lead to confusions. Chunli is her first name.

They portrayed it like Ken was even stronger as Ryu which isnt true. Yeah ppl simply cant let go old traditions, even if some things getting better and not worser. 30-40 yrs ago it was standard to spell her name "Chun Li", but romanizations are getting better, and in our western writings, one name shouldnt be seperated it two, it's like spelling the name Patrick in Pa Trick, noone would do that, its either Patrick or Pa-trick (syllabification). Even if you spell it as Chun-Li, it looks like two seperate names, like Jean-Claude, but its one name, so either Chunli or Chun-li is the best way. I also didnt play SF6 yet only saw some clips. Of course the graphics are damn good. But honestly i liked how Chunli, Cammy and the girls looked 20-30 years ago, today they make them a bit too muscular, they look almost like female bodybuilder.

That particular power Ryu found was in a former movie. He was fighting Professor Sadler and got blasted by a Dark Hadou, and found this power within it. Wish they made newer SF movies. I wish Bison would fight at absolute full power. He seems to always give his opponents some sort of chance. He's shown what he looks like at full power, but doesn't fight in it. And when are they gonna make a Street Fighter meets DragonBall movie? Lol. I've been dying to watch something like that for years.

One thing that bothers me about these street fighter animes is it always feels like the same story, its just Ryu, Ken, Chun Lee, Guile and maybe a new character against Bison and a couple of his minions and another big bad. All other characters are just 2 second cameos and little else. Street fighter should have been given an anime series, where other characters can have an episode about them, Zangief, Deejay, Dhalsim, Rose, Ibuki, just an episode to flesh out these characters instead of just the Ryu and Ken show.
So was the moments of the wolf at about 20:00 and a bit onward suppose to be some kind of crack at SNK / Terry Bogard and the Hungry Wolf?... Cuuuuz I think SNK has made better fighting games, and in more number, than Capcom has made in the past... like decade.... Thanks for posting this. Errr, lil different tot he real story. You see Terry was lined up to be a CHARACTER in the first Street Fighter game, but ultimately wouldn't be used. That man who was working on SF would leave immidiately after and go over to SNK where that character was then used that was not wanted for SF1. You'll find the SF intro guy had short hair, not long. And pretty sure if you look at the ye ol concept art of Bogard that was gun from SF1 even then had long hair. So you 'COULD' be right. But if so I'd ask for the information so I could prove it for sure for myself and others. But it kind of sounds like someone got a past story confused. You see Terry wasn't based off of a Street Fighter intro thing or inspired by Street Fighter. Terry was basically a piece of Street Fighter that didn't get his time to shine. Perhaps Terry was just a bit too good for SF1. And in the state Street Fighter 1 was, yeah. I'd kinda go with that. But who knows, perhaps you indeed have a piece of knowledge somewhere lost to time, but meanwhile I very much have seen the original concept art once upon a time.But Terry was very much conceptualized the same time during SF1's development. And since Capcom passed up on the legendary wolf, he's now one of the most grand known faces and forms of SNK you can pick out in a silhouette. It would be nice to see a scene when Bison and his Shadalloo crew, Seeth, but also Guile, Sakura, Ken, Eliza and Cammy finally see or met Gouki. Chunli met him in SF Alpha, but all the others never saw him.
Because i am absolute sure the good guys (Guile, Cammy, Ken, Sakura) would be shocked to see such a demon like him, but even Bison, Balrog, Vega and Sagat would most probably be very uncomfortable since they always think they are the best, but should they ever met him, they would realize very fast they are no match for him.
Just imagine a scene with the arrogant beauty boy Vega would attack him, and Gouki would just avoid the attack by teleport, and then beat the cr.. out of Vega with 1-2 attacks. Vega would become a cry baby :-D.
And it would also be very funny how Bison would react. Remember who powerfull he was portrayed in SF 2 The Animated Movie, almost like invincible, even without the jacket Ken and Ryu had to fight together to beat him in a very close fight. Bison knew from the data of the cyborg how good Ryu is, but he was sure Ryu is no match for him, and he wasnt.
What would happen if Bison mets Gouki and when he tries to use all his teleport tools, Gouki would just teleport himself and pari his attacks with ease. I am sure Bison couldnt deal with that, it would destroy him mentally to met someone who is simply much stronger as himself.

Good observation! It reminds me on a cartoon series back in 1995 or so, but it wasnt the American, they were two. It was the Japanese, and the timeline was a bit before, it plays when Ryu, Ken, Chunli, Feilong etc. are all around 18 or so.
Ken and Chunli have a little romance there. Vega tries to get Chunli and Ken fights for her to protect her. I liked that.
Look here at 34:15. I know many SF fans want the ship Ryu & Chunli, but Ryu gets really mad when he sees Cammy getting hurt by Rose. Not many think about Ryu and Cammy but i would like them togehter. Of cousre nobody has to agree. ;)
@@chrisbach1533 I believe the cartoon you are referrign to is SF2 V. I remember scene with Ken and Chunli well. Ken has to protect her as she was under a trance while he escorted her to the dinner. Most peeps love to pair Ryu with Chunli because she's fond of him but mostly out of respect, and of cos, they are both Asians but also, Ken is married and happy. With the Cammy scene, as long as you're helpless, Ryu will probably get upset and enter the satsui stage during the period he was struggling to control it. Same for Sakura, Chunli, Ken, he's channeled it while they were in danger.

About Ken and Eliza: True. But what many dont know (i didnt know it until earlier this year) Ken is actually 3/4 Asian and only 1/4 Caucasian. So with him and Eliza you have a 75% Asian / 25% Caucasian man with 100% Caucasian, blond, blue eyed woman.
So hypothetically Ryu and Cammy would also be a constellation which is similar, an Asian man with a Caucasian woman.
Of course i agree with you about Ryu and the satsui stage. He would most probably get angry any time someone is in danger, dont matter if Cammy or someone else.
BTW: Not important but its cool to see you are using todays and modern romanizations of Chunli's name. Back in the day her name was always spelled "Chun Li" or Chun-Li", which looks like two seperate names. But its one name which belongs together.
Still to this day most SF2 fans spell her name that way, and in the SF2 V cartoon when Ken sees her for the first time, he says "Misses Li", just underlines many ppl thought Chun is her first/given name and Li her last/surname.
But spell it either Chunli or with syllabification Chun-li (not capizalize the L) is the best way and doesnt lead to confusions.

I see Ryu having a kid in the end, probably with a non street fighter like Ken but who knows what surprise Capcom has in store. Yeah ppl simply cant let go old traditions, even if some things getting better and not worser. 30-40 yrs ago it was standard to spell her name "Chun Li", but romanizations are getting better, and in our western writings, one name shouldnt be seperated it two, it's like spelling the name Patrick in Pa Trick, noone would do that, its either Patrick or Pa-trick (syllabification). Even if you spell it as Chun-Li, it looks like two seperate names, like Jean-Claude, but its one name, so either Chunli or Chun-li is the best way.
I also didnt play SF6 yet only saw some clips. Of course the graphics are damn good. But honestly i liked how Chunli, Cammy and the girls looked 20-30 years ago, today they make them a bit too muscular, they look almost like female bodybuilder.

That particular power Ryu found was in a former movie. He was fighting Professor Sadler and got blasted by a Dark Hadou, and found this power within it. Wish they made newer SF movies. I wish Bison would fight at absolute full power. He seems to always give his opponents some sort of chance. He's shown what he looks like at full power, but doesn't fight in it. And when are they gonna make a Street Fighter meets DragonBall movie? Lol. I've been dying to watch something like that for years.

One thing that bothers me about these street fighter animes is it always feels like the same story, its just Ryu, Ken, Chun Lee, Guile and maybe a new character against Bison and a couple of his minions and another big bad. All other characters are just 2 second cameos and little else.
Street fighter should have been given an anime series, where other characters can have an episode about them, Zangief, Deejay, Dhalsim, Rose, Ibuki, just an episode to flesh out these characters instead of just the Ryu and Ken show.
We all know in the end, Bison runs the sh*ts 😏

i mean terry is literally based off the sf1 intro guy. Also SNK was founded by early sf developers.
Errr, lil different tot he real story. You see Terry was lined up to be a CHARACTER in the first Street Fighter game, but ultimately wouldn't be used. That man who was working on SF would leave immidiately after and go over to SNK where that character was then used that was not wanted for SF1. You'll find the SF intro guy had short hair, not long. And pretty sure if you look at the ye ol concept art of Bogard that was gun from SF1 even then had long hair.
So you 'COULD' be right. But if so I'd ask for the information so I could prove it for sure for myself and others. But it kind of sounds like someone got a past story confused. You see Terry wasn't based off of a Street Fighter intro thing or inspired by Street Fighter. Terry was basically a piece of Street Fighter that didn't get his time to shine. Perhaps Terry was just a bit too good for SF1. And in the state Street Fighter 1 was, yeah. I'd kinda go with that.
But who knows, perhaps you indeed have a piece of knowledge somewhere lost to time, but meanwhile I very much have seen the original concept art once upon a time.But Terry was very much conceptualized the same time during SF1's development. And since Capcom passed up on the legendary wolf, he's now one of the most grand known faces and forms of SNK you can pick out in a silhouette.
