I haven’t played a game this addictive since Skyrims initial release. I’m currently still struggling with moving on from a mercenary to be a vassal/make my own kingdom. Would enjoy an in depth guide tho these beginner videos are also priceless you’re a God send for us console plebs

Same here, I can't wait to go back home every weekend to play it for hours until 5 am sometimes, last weekend I literally dreamed myself arranging troops and finance while sleeping lol. It's endless fun.

#1 rule don’t rush the story ! Get the dragon banner but do not start the next part . Get clan strength up get your army size up to 300+ with top troops .. stay away from higher level kingdoms: fight surgia an batanian , sell their equipment. Release their lords . Use your denars to recruit the 1s that can have 100 plus in their army
Yer I am going to wait till I level up more before starting next part as made the mistake of taking a town between level 2 - level 3 so been struggling to keep it as the town was at -3 loyalty and its now at +1 but come ferry close to losing it multiple times 😆 the only thing that stopped me from getting wiped out was its a new kingdom so only 1 town 👍 thank for the comments as I probably would have been wipe out 😏
@@kymfcerberus4243 I always show my towns mercy when I take over . Change the town task to festival an games an drop 10k in there .don’t be afraid to sit in ur castle an defend it against the larger groups it’s the e easiest way or go ahead an pay them for peace don’t fight if u can’t . Wen I first started I was having trouble beating the empire kingdoms Becus they were larger .

@@tyecharessewhite7831 I did but lose -2 points as wrong city lol and -1 point as leadership but added a hero to govern the town so +1 and festival for +2 than building up security and just got the town to start building 😎

The minute i started a kingdom to complete the quest i had 4 kingdoms declare war on me and would cost over 35k a day to keep peace, i felt this really spoiled the previous 80 hours i did as a freelancer, not sure why 1 kingdom alone asked for over 10k to make peace when ive never fought that or any other faction, only rebels up until that time

I was just about to make the same mistake but watched this video and read comments so glad I did lol
I pledges fealty to Battania with the dragon banner and got Lageta town and 4 castles, they were constantly at war against everyone around them and it was hard to keep the realm up, managed to expand the kingdoms territory to the largest in the realm when all of a sudden the istonia conspiracy thing filled up and I had 3 Imperial kingdoms on one side and the vladians on the other attacking all at once and lost everything and now I have to restart because the recent saves overwrite my manual ones with the prior 3 saves having no way out. Stupid banner quest. I had a 300 troop party with maxed level troops and still could not keep up with the other armies because the battanian vassal armies are absolute trash in comparison and I have to carry them every time.
What I did was joined southern empire, fought for them, captured castles in a corner. They keep giving u castles and towns for free, but you can actually give them back and try to gain ones near u. Then once I had my cozu corner of castles and towns, I left the kingdom and kept the fiefs. Boom

All I did was tournaments, village/town quests & kill bandit groups/hideouts. Idk if getting married rose my renown but by age 25 I was at tier 3 then I did the banner quests which rose me to tier 4. That's when I realized that I needed to be at tier 5 to create my own kingdom which would've been a grind honestly so I started a new playthrough. I will get to tier 4 faster than my last playthrough
Trade makes getting renown very very easy

Are those made swords though. Bc you only get trade xp on things you buy and then make a profit on
I usually buy out wood and resell for the trading xp along with smithing

Best way to get renown early is by fighting every looter party you run across with a mounted bow from around 60-40m away. One bow, rest of the slots basic arrows gives you 60 in a fight and if you need more you can retreat to refill mount hp and arrows as long as you have more than 1/5 hp. Tourneys are ok but unpredictable, even if you stick with empire you could still get bad matchups. Stay solo until tier 2 and then recruit, become a merc and take hostile action to force recruits. These are easy to auto resolve and even if you lose men they’re instantly replaced by more. You aren’t locked in one spot, you’re gaining tons of influence and renown from fighting, and eventually you hit tier 3 and can become a vassal. Don’t sweat your first fief, it’s just there to get you interacting with it. Keep playing like a merc and horde that influence to pass good policies and create armies to siege fiefs. The name of the game is building your rep through combat and balancing down time with trying for heirs or doing story-quest objectives.
I’m stuck on actually establishing the kingdom, but hitting tier 4 is easy. The problem is whatever faction you vassalize in is going to be your biggest threat as you’re a champ taking the map for them… but diverge too soon and you’ll get wiped.
Tournys are great, I have be under utilizing them until this playthough. By hitting every Tourny (and maybe a save & reload or 30) whenever you stumble upon them. I already (at150 troops) have half of my companions all deck out in legit top gear. I, personally, highly recommend Tournaments... and fudging the system a little... for l337 Loot!
All the hours of Mount and Blade Warband on the ps4 have led to this moment.....only 3 more days until Bannerlord arrives in my mail 😍

I literally ride my horse through the broken walls and use a two handed axe in the archers to draw fire, then I'll move between infantry and their archers to draw attention, once one side of my men are in, i give the charge command for that specific unit.
Its devastating for the enemy, especially since I like to starve them out.
The tip to find a rebelling castle is gold!

I am playing on a save that I started 3 months ago, after grinding I started a kingdom and I have been at war with the whole continent 6 TIMES
Yeah...don't do the dragon banner quest. Just ends up with you getting dog piled by a bunch of kingdoms that you can never make peace with. Just ignore the quests after you get your family back.

I ve already downloaded some ' make your own custom kingdom and change culture mods' and I find the first one a maze of brains from the moment I just wanna play not to code... So Im very thankful for this one mate and I am about thanks to your tutorial and the mod about change culture (and another one that give you a custom culture, so that is the point)
I wish I had the option o f custom kingdom from the start but its fine this video here, especially with cheats on console I can now create my Templarios orders

Is there like a set amount of gold thats recommended before actually launching the transition into a kingdom??? Got like 1.1M saved up but knowing this game I know just how easy gold can be drained as well during war
There's nothing written in stone, but I say 1mil is the minimum, with 10mil being best 🖖
If I start to execute prisoners, I Always gain the dishonorable perk.
I thought it was rank 2 💀.
Btw I can’t get more troops without losing 200 everyday. I only have 20 troops and idk if I should even get 30 or I’ll lose 500 every day.

Recently I left my kingdom to start my own, I left with my properties, and it did not start my own kingdom. I had clan ring for and all of the other requirements. Do I really need to build the banner to start my own kingdom?
I’ve ran into a problem that as soon as I start my kingdom everyone goes to war with me and i end up against like 1000+ troop armies siegeing my fiefs. I’ve got like 700k at the moment. I think I’ve let vlandia get too strong tbh.

You don't have to win 300 tournaments because once you are tourney champion, you gain plus one renown every single day just for being the champion. So once you become champion just fight lots of battles and you'll rank up your clan tier in no time.
Wait so like for each tourney I get +1 everyday for all that I become champion?
@@markrossi1016 no you have to become torney champ which means you have to have the most tournament wins of any character in the game, once you get that you get + 1 renown per day as long as you remain number 1 in tourny victories. So basically once you're at the top of the standings you just have to stay there.

Companions can be assigned as captains of the various types of formations you.
Not like in warband where they can be set as an archer or infantry etc

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to split off from batannia as a vassal. I'm clan rank 4, with a strong party of 200+, two cities and three castles all within a days ride of eachother and armed with at least 200 garrison and 200 militia. I feel like I'm the driving force for batannia slaying army after army but they would heavily outnumber my troops if I left. And the main worry is I don't know if all my settlements would flip to my kingdom?
You have a choice, you can pick to keep or leave them. Your main question should be how much money do you have. You really want at least 1mil to start you off to handle peace deals and wages

@@wilfredwayne7139 I had 4k influence with the Aserai and started my own kingdom and started with zero influence. Vlandia had it out for me since I decided to take Tubilis Castle to start out beat them back a couple times and used 1500 influence to enact policies to get my army to 400 by myself. With an army of clan members we took a few more castles and went back to the Aserai. Have less lands now then before, but at least they're all connected.
@@josephlozano7792 I'm gonna leave the kingdom keep my stuff next to dethbert so I can keep my shit once we take out Sturgia they hate me they kept attacking me so I killed most of the nobles and they border my lands.

How long does it take for a rebellion to happen?
That really depends, can't give you an answer. It happens. You just got to be ready when it does
Rebellions happen when towns are unhappy most towns are rasist so if your not they nationality they loose loyalty so keep an eye on towns that were freshly taken also make sure your gov is of those people race to make sure they don’t rebel

Well this depends, but in general you need to earn the respect of the other kingdoms to avoid war. Or pay them off of course 🖖

Followed this and ended up spending 500k just for peace with my previous kingdom i was a vassal of, proceeded to create my own kingdom and 4 kingdoms declared war all saying i must pay 10k tribute. Unistalled the game lots of time wasted on it.
Very disappointing game.
They should have added co op story mode instead of the game destroying crap they did put in. They took away so much when you compare it to Warband and what little they added is not worth it.
Cross platform and multiplayer is already dead. They failed hard at making a new and better Warband.

Organising your troops is far more difficult than it was in Warband. Being able to make battle groups in Warband was far better. Instead of this BS pre battle setup where you only have 8 set groups and not as much control over your army.
It hasn't even been out a months and multiplayer is already dead, and I dont think putting it on game pass will help.
If they were going to add anything new other than the graphics upgrade it should have been co op story mode. You and your buddy conquer the kingdom together.

Warband did a few things more right in their single player, that much is true, but it is entirely based on preference. Multiplayer isn't dead it's just not very populated as other games are. There's never been dead servers over on xbox since launch

I disagree there, i played a ton of warband, i know what you're trying to say but just like me when i started playing bannerlord i quickly learned that the game is nothing like Warband its a new game so its gonna be different.
