idk if the blast is cruiser, street or naked but yeah u can do a lot of things with this bike - the lighter weight and adequate power makes it a blast to ride (no pun intended).
@@WindowLickingDeer This was my first bike, I had grown up on dirtbikes. Honestly a used 300cc class sportbike, an SV650 or a dual sport would make a great first bike.
I just bought one, I’ve never even driven a manual motorcycle, I drove an automatic one in elementary school over 10 years ago, and 2 weeks later and I’m completely able to ride manual
I just took my MSF course and saw this nearby for 2k Is this good for highway speeds? VS Say a Ninja 650r but it's in a different state and the cost of shipping during this pandemic is would be ~$850 added to the price. Just asking
@@guzzlinggusher7066 lol it's funny you replied 11 months later. Because I just left a dealership inquiring about a beginners bike (R3/MT03/Ninja400). They literally cannot get any inventory. The manufacturers tell them what they have to give and they allocate to the dealers. The only reason I even looked at a dealership is because the prices of used bikes are nearly the same as MSRP on new bikes. Think I'm just gonna wait for the supply chain to figure itself out at this point.
Lol. Sounds like your bike is a piece of shit. I got a 2001. First of all I got to say it's a comfortable riding bike. I'm 230 lb. And I'm 6 ft 2 in . The only thing I did was open the jet a little bit more. My Buell Blast is totally stock. And all the guys that drive Harleys that I know. And raced a Sportster. My bike runs perfect no false neutrals. No clinking the gears. And I got mine I told solo it just chugs like a tractor. If you hit that throttle on first gear ill throw you off this bike. You can do whatever you want to do to your bike I guarantee you I'll beat you.
I work at Harley Davidson and we have one in the back that I’m thinking about buying

Ageed, whatever the class is, it is a blast (pun intended)

So if i've never ridden, which I haven't, what would be a good starter bike. I do plan on riding.

The Blast is surely more affordable than the SV650 or the CB300.
Edit: at least in the sport naked style
learn how to ride
I got one for about 2k for my first bike and sometimes going from 1st to 2nd it gets stuck in neutral. Overall I like it.
I just got mine today for 1k. This is also my first bike as well 🎉.
Is it worth buying in 2023 going into 2024?
of course
Looking at one tomorrow for my kids to learn on. Might just keep it myself for hoonin' around town.
its a fun bike. I have seen them in running condition for as low as a grand around my area
@@HumbleGarage Right on. This one is a little rough (leaky petcock, etc.). If it'll go for
@@pauliej4208 sweet let me know if you get it
Hahaha the voice!! There is one for sale in my area for 1,200. I’m trying to find out if it’s worth it for a beginner like me.
