Hi there, I'm a 19 year old with CP and always wondered what it looked like to others when I walked as to me it felt normal, I've always described my disability as walking like 'a drunk penguin' lol. After watching this video I'm inspired by you, you're amazing, I do understand the struggles within your life and the determination to succeed and prove that having a disability doesn't stop you living your life. You're absolutely BEAUTIFUL and don't let anyone tell you other wise. Lots of Love x
You know, I've been having a really terrible week, but seeing you overcome your challenges like this really made me realize that things maybe aren't as bad as they seem, and that - if you can take what you've got with stride - there's no reason why I can't cope. You are an exceptionally beautiful human being & have an amazing smile. Thanks for posting this vid.
Ahh, I'm loving you so much more after checking out the rest of your channel. I'm also doing a Degree in Media Arts, majoring in Journalism. I'm currently on my second year. Also, I have four tattoos. This is so incredible :D
When you post something on youtube there will always be assholes trying to put down what you've made. F*** them. Those who know the real price of things like these will appreciate them. Just watching this video makes me smile and very happy for you :) Keep it up! I hope you're doing even better now. Cheers from Russia!
@Natureboywhooo CP causes spasticity..which can make it hard to move the muscles/parts of your body that are spastic. and Yes, if you are very spastic it can be very sore, or if you spend most of your time in a chair, as i do, your back may start to hurt. But you get use to it. Thanks for all the kind words! :)
good job sweet heart, like they say,use it or loose it.Someday soon technology may enter your life, but as with any new technology they want patients that are in good shape[like yourself, that try to take a daily walk, whether its 10 feet or 100,it has a incredible affect on your mind and body.keep it up sweet heart.
When did you Start walking? I have a daughter with CP Quadraplegia she is legaly blind 10yrs old and it has taken me forever to get MOVE International Curriculum accepted. It takes them 6 yrs at least to get MOVE Certified. Her hip has sublaxed/dislocated since I got the training myself in 2010. I just got her gait trainer in December from Adaptive Mall.com from her kiddiepool that I set up with them in 2010. Professionals in school doubt her progress and say "she's just not there yet".
