Most won't grasp the food part and I concur with you. When I moved to the US I had to cut out a lot of meat especially chicken because it just doesn't taste like chicken (atleast to me). I also experienced a lot of health issues once I left South Africa and that included being lactose intolerant, uterine fibroids and everything else. I really do believe it's the food we consume here in the USA. Glad that you love South Africa.

Sista; there is a special kind of feeling that you get barely 24hrs when you land on South African shores and one doesn't get it anywhere else. For me; it's the People. No matter where you go; it's almost impossible to accept anything less. People there genuinely care about others; even strangers. And of course there are flaws; but the good far outweighs the bad. The best of all; you really feel like a HUMAN - a feeling we take for granted everyday. Take your time; moving to a new country is no small feat. May be there is no reason to even move permanently yet. Greetings ...y'all

😂😂 The traffic officers would also give you a ticket in South Africa if they saw you yield instead of coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. We just have a bad habit of yielding and moving along if there aren't a lot of cars/traffic on the road.

You're right about our food and how it assists with losing weight without going to the gym. Theres a UA-cam called Mansa Mayne who stayed here for a year. 2 month before he left we noticed that he lost weight, his been back in the US for about 6 months now and he gained weight again. So you don't lose weight in a negative way, it's just that our food is organic and doesn't have chemicals and additives so you'll lose all the unhealthy weight. Also the area in Midrand (Waterfall City) is a fairly new area and has not been fully developed yet. Also English is the first language in schools and is the country's business language so 95% of the population can speak it, you shouldn't struggle with communicating at all. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and you'll be welcomed back with open arms.♥️

In S.A if you don't see a traffic officer you use a stop sign as a yield sign.
You only do a complete stop if the other person got there before you and they need to cross. That's common sense wouldn't you say?

Great content sis. I live in Bloemfontein in the free state province. A little bit slow, but big, and safest city in Mzansi.

Thank you so much, someimes it feels like the picture painted by the world in terms of life in Africa and in South Africa in general has a general exergeration of negativity.
Thank for sharing your experiences on the African soil. Let me take this opportunity to invite you to Zimbabwe as one the African countries which the world paints a gloomy picture.
Come too KwaZulu natal and experience the Zulu hospitality.

Knowing and visiting south africa & Africa in general as an American is knowing where home is, when you know where home is, nothing will gets to you, all south africans & Africans do this, our rural homes are kept so as to not feel as lost as we feel in suburbian lifestyle. We don't necessarily live in our rural home but we keep them and visit them regularly.

Best review of our country. one of the primary reasonS that made you enjoy being in South Africa could be you were in a majority, with your people and subconsciously felt like being home. You were home.

Emmanual...don't fool yourself Dee would be seen as a mixed race person (coloured person) not a black person in South Africa...majority diaspora se moer.

Don't rush to relocate to another country my sister. So I'll advice you to take your time thinking about it and when you're ready, then do it and don't look back

The traffic lights situation is amusing, sometimes the homeless folks control the traffic when the stop lights are off. And we all abide 😂

Thank a lot. I love sisters like you. I also really need to visit the US to experience first hand how the African Americans live. We grew up watching them on TV and they are the developed and sophisticated versions of Africans and we look forward to learning from them. I am a South African who truly adores African Americans.

The reception is not the same as how we receive them here. You need a thick skin there but you'll eventually find people that will love you truly. They're just not as open as us.
