I hope you reach 100K by the end of the year! I'm always baffled when only around 10% of viewers hit the *Like* button. It takes practically no effort and is an easy way to reward the content creator for all the time they put into making the video.
Great tips! For me, the best time to declutter my clothes is when I really need to do laundry and I "have nothing to wear" even though my closet is still full of clothes!
Magazines. Once every four to six weeks, I allow myself to sit down and go through all of my magazines one more time and copy anything I want to use (fashion, decor, craft, cooking ideas). They go into a file that I go through at the end of every month when planning for the following month. When the magazines are done, they go to friends or the charity shop.
Re: pantry, fridge and freezer. We are going away for 6 weeks and it has pushed me to empty all our food stock. Our food bills have been lower and I'm getting to clean out everything. I highly recommend you pretend you're going away and the house can't have food left behind incase of mice/power loss 😂
Oh the identity self and fantasy self items are hard to declutter, but also some of the most toxic to keep! It’s incredibly freeing to have them OUT, and to be intentional about repurchasing. ❤
❤ You are looking beautiful. Yes, I agree about condiments. Before watching your video I discarded an expired pot of mustard. I was disappointed to have to discard but happy to have freed up the space. I can curate this little space as needed. 👍
I just wanted to say that you look amazing! So happy for you and your husband! And baby girl too! Thank you for brightening my day with your smile and positive vibes ❤
I laughed when you mentioned tweezers, because I have 2 or 3 here which I never use. Why do I keep those? I really don’t know. Thank you, all your suggestions are relevant.
How about discarding the extra pair of shoe laces that come with sneakers that you never change out or all the attachments to appliances that you have never used or never intend to use.
I liked the clippers/tweezers on the list because I have seen people with rusty ones! I don't know why they want to throw out certain things but keep others that they haven't touched in decades. Thank you for putting the old decor things. I don't own ANY trinkets at all, but I used to have so many for so long. I am so glad they are gone. I am glad you taught us how to properly pronounce your name. Is it Norwegian? I have a Norwegian penpal with the name name.
Just want to throw out there that most food expiration dates are arbitrary and don't hold much weight. Expiration dates are set by food manufacturers to help move food off the shelves and/or to indicate when a food item is expected to be less fresh; they are not set by the USDA or any other regulating body, with the exception of baby formula. Obviously, as you mentioned, if a food smells or looks off then it is time to discard it. I recognize too that this video is centered on decluttering and if someone keeps a food item in their kitchen past its expiration date then it's likely they do not intend on eating it. So yes, for the sake of decluttering it seems appropriate to throw out the expired food items. I just wanted to share and clarify that expired food items are not necessarily going to make people sick and just because something is past its expiration date does not mean it cannot or should not be eaten. I suppose this is one of the areas where food waste reduction and minimalism are in opposition, however to overcome this we can combine them by simply not buying food we do not intend to eat right away or are not willing to commit to using up.
You’ve gotten my decluttering muscle activated to another level of thought! Thank you

Aw, thanks! :)
Unfortunately, the like-button does not always work. Fortunately, most time it does. I never forget to push it. ❤

Love that!

It's actually Swedish in my case! Good guess
Enjoyed the video today.Lynn

How is Baby Lesser doing? Is she teaching you much? 🙂
