Elin, I retired almost two years ago, and one of the great joys of retirement is having the time to read without rushing. I recently read The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings books, all of which I had read many years ago, and then The Silmarillion, which I'd never read. I am so happy to run across someone else who really enjoyed these books!
The music tip…we did the same with my son as a baby and who is now 18, still loves when we turn on classical or jazz. He fell asleep to Jack Johnson’s album from curious George and my son is still drawn to those songs. They bring him peace because they were nap music as a baby.
Hooray for Italy! You’ll love it🇮🇹 I have been putting off making my website, so this was a great push for me. Audiobooks! Yes! 📚 I recently listened to all the Little House books while doing barn chores every morning. And I’m also in a decluttering course right now! 😅 Another great video, Elin! 💛
Oh my gosh Elin I’m a huge Lord of the rings nut! My husband and I just finished watching the second season of The Rings of Power. It’s awesome! It would be really good to watch it after you read The Silmarillion.
I was also a huge Lord of the Rings fan, but I was the opposite, I never saw the movies! Read all the books plus The Hobbit and The Silmarillion. Now maybe I should take a cue from you and watch the movies. Thanks for some great reset suggestions 🥰
Since I moved out on my own when I was 19 I probably have music playing 95%of the time in my place. I love it and feel weird when I don’t have it on. I’m 49 now 😊
Also the staycation is a fantastic idea! My husband and I did that with our 4 kids every summer when they were little and it was nothing better than after long day at one of our planned activities in our city to come home and get our kids ready for bed in our own home. So much easier and we didn’t have to worry about packing all that stuff. lol
More like, "I need to recoup from my vacation, both physically and financially." Been there done that. I was going to order some Godiva chocolate as a special treat to combat winter blues. But I found some wonderful, vegan chocolates on Thrive Market that are just as good and for much less.

Love staycations! Love nerdy things! My reset is reading and hot yoga classes.
Great suggestions, Elin! Music is definitely "my go to" to not only reset but to get through so many daily tasks.
Audiobooks are a wonderful invention! I like podcasts as well. About declutterring: I always have a bin in use.
Love the lighting in your video!
These are such nice unique ideas ❤ thank you

Feel free to watch the movies. The books are my favourite, but the movies are just the way I imagined Tolkins' world... 😊

Sounds like your baby girl is destined to be a musician like her grandparents.
Aw! :)
I like your babbling 😊
Haha thanks!
SAME!!
Me too!
