Hi Elin: One of the things I love about your videos is how calm they are. I love the soft jazz and quiet luxury aesthetic. Your style is beautiful, truly unique in the UA-cam landscape and I think your channel is worthy of a much larger audience. I will continue to subscribe. Also, your content is real, and honest and helpful. Thank you.

And Elin, children are very resilient beings. Give yourself some grace. We don’t have to constantly entertain children. It’s okay for babies and children to get bored. It’s actually good for them. It develops imagination and allows children to discover the world on their terms. Stimulation can be overwhelming for babies. A baby looking around the room is a new adventure for them. Remember everything is new for a baby. My biggest pet peeve as a teacher are children who do not have the ability to entertain themselves. You love her, you care for her needs-job done.

Love Aura - I share it with others when they mention issues or concerns. I love the variety, that I can go to sleep with it on.

What a great list. I think so many people feel they are failures. My mom lives life that way so I have worked against it throughout my life and it has made me a positive person and aware of the choices I make. I giggled at your driving analogy. It was good! Yes! I love when people try new things. I love learning new skills. I agree about the "I don't deserve it." That's odd. I am with you!

great timing, really needed this... had a few emotionally intense things going on lately and the accumulation of it all made me go in full on anxiety mode..

Bravo ❤ on toxic decluttering 😊 As an encouragement, being a teacher for small children for decades, (and a chronic illness warrior as well) I’ve had lovely moms who also struggled with MS and other chronic illnesses. You may feel “less, or limited”, but you actually have an opportunity to teach your little one empathy, grit, compassion, perseverance and independence in an organic way that can benefit you all. 🥰 grace and peace and loads of love ❤

Elin, great advice! I love your commonsense approach to decluttering your mind and, of course, your home. Kudos!

Think of yourself from your daughters perspective instead of your own. You are literally the center of her world. No one else makes her feel complete. ❤

Hey Elin you are a wonderful content creator, so real and kind. Something that is a big saying of mine when I or one of my family members are feeling overwhelmed and feeling that l or they are not good enough is … do the best you can, with what you have, for today. It seems to keep that false expectation that we need to be “ perfect and superhuman in everything we do “in perspective.

I really like this take of talking about the emotional clutter. I’ve been practicing minimalism for at least 4 years now. Due to minimizing the distractions in the form of having and obtaining physical clutter, I find I just have more time to be in my thoughts. During these times, I realized that I have more emotional baggage than I thought and it’s much more apparent than it was before. It’s been eye opening overall and I’m grateful that minimalism has led me to working on my inner self. This video came to me at a good time. I appreciate this video a lot 💜💜💜

Oh it sounds like you're doing a great job as a Mama to your little one! The RIE approach to parenting is great. It embraces the concept of their baby's ability to entertain themselves and giving them the space to do that. I went on a course and it was just beautiful to observe him interacting with his world. Everything is new and exciting. Going to the supermarket, hearing the sounds of the street, just everyday life!

Elin, americans in general seems to belive kids need to be entertained all the time. Just give them a couple of thing and let them play. I hate to play with toys for example. I enjoy reading or singing so I did that with my kids a lot when they were younger, but otherwise they had to play by themselves. I’m sure you’re a great mum and I know this because you worry about not beeing enough. Parents who are ”bad” parents don’t think that ❤️
I really appriciate your take on decluttering thoughts! 🙏 so important!

Well.. last year I did run out of candy at 7:15. We had an onslaught of trick-or-treaters. Plus my husband was very generous with the candy. This year I’m being stingy.

You are more "normal" than you think. Most of us don't feel good enough.

Society places a lot of high expectations on women and mothers in particular. Often unattainable standards. Being a bad mom is culturally seen as the most shameful thing, when in reality, mothers are human with bad days and good days.
