US Open 2011 is an extremely high quality match, it didn't go the full 5 sets, but some of the rallies, particularly in the 3rd set where Rafa dug deep to prolong the match, are among their best ever.

What I see is Rafa being a huge competitor against Novak on hardcourt in his younger years but as injuries started to accumulate clay was really the most ideal surface It makes you wonder if it had not beeen for the many injuries how intense the rivalry could have soared
