Matt you are a blessing! This encouraged me so much. Your heart for the Lord shines through everything you do. I'm 50 now and my guitar playing has always been better than my singing - but I'm continuing to improve. My church is into 4 point harmony and I'm singing bass and tenor on Sunday!
i totally think it's shyness. i go through the same thing...i still struggle singing in groups. I think over time your confidence will grow and grown. I know mine has but i still have a long ways to go before i'll just grab my guitar and sing in front of others. Good luck! keep praising the Lord!
Blessings! Great work! I'm so glad to have found you here. I'm a children's entertainer, but it all started as a ministry and it still is. I have a clown ministry in my church and I'm not the best of singer, but I like to make my joyful noise to the Lord, but many times I don't have the music for the songs that I want to teach the children, so I've been considering learning to play an instrument and I'm thinking the guitar may be good option. Right now it is not in my budget to hire a privet instructor, and also by the internet is available when I'm available. I still do not have a guitar, but I'm seriously considering learning to play the guitar. So while I save to buy one I'll try to learn as much as I can and familiarize myself with it so once I get it I won't be so overwhelmed. Continue to do what the Lord has called you to do. Your ministry is a great blessing to me. May the Lord continue to use you for His glory. Praise The Lord!!!

My friends who are singers were telling me to go lower and slower when I sang, but when I watched your videos I got into my own comfort zone with singing and now people compliment me on my singing all the time! I have been practicing entered a talent show with rave reviews. I have a very low voice for a woman and kind of raspy. This was good advice because I always thought well most women sing so high but I do a lot of vibrato and riffs to ad texture since I do not sing to high. You have a very lovely voice. And I commend you because I can tell that you Honor your Mother. What a lucky woman to of raised such a wonderful son. God bless you always

trust me...i do the same thing...try to just stay in tune and on pitch...don't get real high or real low...just hover in the middle and over time you can increase your range!
