You're so right about the ease now she shows while playing a cover as difficult as this one. Some identify the hi-hat parts as the most challenging. Without being able to use the kick-drum pedal as she does, there is no way this can sound anywhere near realistic. Great you mentioned the Whisky A Go Go gig. That's a 500 seater full of classic rock fans. It's a regular gig for her now and these performances are unrehearsed, often band members have never met before. YOYOKA always plays her covers as if live with band since she has played live in a band since she was 4. It is just so normal for her. Thank you for this reaction.
Spot-on reaction. Yes, effortless. Yoyoka looks like she has plenty of "headroom", and could move up a gear if she needed to. She got something musical out of a tiny number of drums compared to Peart's kit. Was she 'swinging' it? There are very few top 50 none-Jazz drummers she hasn't covered well. The Whisky A Go Go gigs are good; however I wish they recorded all the channels into the mixing desk instead of relying on an iPhone. (I'd watched the Whisky' performance before watching this). I don't understand what Yoyoka did at 5:36 Until then, her left-hand had played snare, and her right-hand high-hat. Then at 5:36 she seems to try to play a couple of notes on the high-hat with her left hand. Her stick seems to slide off, maybe hit the bottom cymbal, and almost gets caught between the two high-hat cymbals. I'm more than happy to believe she hears drum parts much better than me, but that looked like an ungainly way of adding two note. Best Wishes. ☮
@@GREEDYREACTS-x3g Yoyoka is remarkable. However so is Senri Kawaguchi, and, of course, Vinnie Colaiuta. To be fair, the main difference is composing. Yoyoka needs a few more years composing drum parts and music. I stumbled across something quite offbeat which might make you smile. YOYOKA IS THE BEST!! ❤
She is amazing
Nice reaction, Yoyoka plays with such ease, it's very impressive. Thanks for continuing to react to Yoyoka.
More to come!
Yoyoka is absolutely amazing 🐰🥁🐰🥁🐰
She certainly is
Neil Peart said that this was one of Rush's most difficult songs to play...Neil Peart! Yoyoka is a true prodigy. An amazing talent.
Agreed!!!

Wish i was there, Thank you for watching
7/8 is a hard time signature but she also handles the changes with ease on Rush's YYZ, back when she was what, 11?
She was 10 in the YYZ cover and 15 here...

Some of the things she did here is beyond belief, as i said probably one of the best drummers alive today
