I was also at Haddenham with the Wonderland organ and the 2 showmen engines.
Haddenham steam rally, one of the best around.
I used to maintain the Scammels when I served in the REME and if the clutch is adjusted properly, bit of an art, you can change gear most times without crunching

Traction engines are definitely up there on vehicles to drive they seem complex but are more simple 😅
And the Mack well a35 is cheaper to run than an ICE and makes no smoke emissions

When you were driving that steam engine all I could think of was the scene in dad’s army where they destroyed the camp site 🤣🤣🤙

Them seats would be amazing do it like top gear keep the motor so can use the recliners of the chair also if can make table out of engin be a good office coffee table maybe use the wheels as a podium table as well

My mam got to drive a steam engine as a kid. There is a steam rally in a place called Stradbally in Co.Laois Ireland and at the end of the rally there have a race of a kind across the main field and the engines have to be driven by women.
